View 26 RepliesExactly one week and 1 day ago I received unprotected oral sex from a sex worker in South Africa (known for HIV). It lasted for about 30 minutes. I know I made a major mistake. Statistically she had HIV as 70% of sex workers are positive. She had false teeth in her mouth and removed it for the purposes of the ******* which means she definitely had blood in her mouth and there was deep throating involved. I am more than certain I got the virus and don't know how to deal with it. I know many people experience phantom pains but I definitely have tender lymph nodes in my face and neck, fever, sore throat, all the typical signs I contracted the virus. I took a test 2 days after and of course it was negative due to the window period and no prior sexual experience (NONE). I am considering taking my own life due to this issue. I come from a VERY conservative family and they would never be able to deal with this. What should I do?
View 25 RepliesI have had recurring breast infections since my son was born 25yrs ago. I had numerous surgeries. It keeps coming back. I tried everything under the sun. Hydrogen Peroxide, Alcohol, iodine, hot compresses, antibiotics. I have just discovered that soaking with Epsom salt completely healed me. It worked fast. I am continuing to do this twice a day to make sure it is completely gone. I am amazed. I was going to go for surgery again. I want other people to be helped. This is a miracle for me.
View 1 RepliesThree years ago my wife had her knee totally replaced. She had good motion and pain-free service for about a year. Then she developed pain and the doctor xrayed and said that she had formed scar tissue within the incision - it was visible as a darkened spot on the x ray. She has been using an analgesic cream for about a year but the pain is very severe at times. What is a solution? We have tried massage etc.
View 46 RepliesI can't complain because everything is getting easier, and I am definitely much more comfortable than I was. My biggest problem is a complete absence of energy. I feel so deeply tired and fatigued. I had my first nights sleep last night, so why am I still not feeling like moving or doing anything? I want to play with my children, get the house organised and do productive tasks but just don't have it in me.... Is this your experience? Or should I be forcing it?
View 40 RepliesMy husband, Charlie and I have been hard core OF heroin addicts for the past almost 4 years. We have lost everything but 2 days ago we decided enough is enough. We honestly want to be clean but these body aches and pain are unbearable and I'm worried if we don't find a solution to help with the withdrawal symptoms we're not going to reach our goal of kicking this addiction and getting our lives and life together back in order the way we were before, this heroin is no joke buddy I fear it gets much harder one of us is gonna end up going to get some so we can stop twitching jerking throwing up having the runs (I know TMI sorry)
View 3 RepliesIt is now just five months since my RTHR and I think I'm back to normal. So hands up all you hippies who think, as I do, that, as a reward for my extraordinary courage and being a model patient, my wife should now allow me to purchase that lovely little classic sports coupé that I've seen for sale (quite cheaply) on the Internet.
View 52 RepliesDay five almost on the books...I have done all my exercises and walked several times...even outside. my question for those of you with THR experience... when walking, did you feel a bit uneven? Is this normal? Is it from swelling?

View 2 RepliesFinally got on hand a home test kit, specifically, Core HIV 1/2 Home Test Kit. A friend sneaked on for me since it is forbidden to test anonymously in the country where I am now. My last risky exposure was 7 months ago.. After hours of prayers and hesitation, I finally tested myself. I am NEGATIVE! Now my questions are:
1. Is this result reliable? I mean talking about the reliability of home test kits
2. 7 months ago was my risky exposure, have I chosen the correct way to test myself? Was it okay to use a home test kit in this period?

View 1 RepliesI am 19 weeks and for over a week i have woke up every morning with a headache and sore neck. My headache lasts all day. I dont like to take meds especially when pregnant although i have had to take tylenol once this week. I am wondering if it is from the way i am sleeping or something. I usually sleep on my stomach but about 2 months ago i switched to sleeping on my sides with a body pillow between my knees and tucked under my lil belly. I drink lots of water and cut waaay back on coffee when trying to conceive. I am considering getting a massage if i can find someone local who treats pregnant women. Never had a massage!! Anyone have any suggestions? My stress level is the same as normal.
View 4 RepliesMy boobs have been sore and hard for a week straight since i found out i was pregnant. Now today i wake up and i don't notice any soreness. Im 5 weeks. Should i be worried?
View 4 RepliesI am having my THR on Thursday. At the "hip school" we were told that we had to use the TED stockings for 6 weeks. A friend who had the same operation at the same hospital as me (Wrightington) said that his consultant had told him that with the daily injections the TED stockings were now redundant but that for some reason they kept saying use them even though they were not necessary.
Has anyone ese been told the same or else told that they did not need to use them? Did any of you discard them regardless of what you were told.
I am going to be 11 weeks on Good Friday and friends would like to celebrate my birthday and new hip! I am wondering what I will be up to? Will I manage a night of cocktails and heels or should I be persuading them to lower their sights? It is a jazz night evening......desperate to have fun so if it is possible.....
