Herpes Or Trauma? Single Red Flat Lesion On Shaft
Jul 7, 2015
I went on vacation for 2 weeks, did not masterbate or anything of the sort for that whole time and also showers were few and far between. When I got home I masterbated vigorously, 4 - 5 times throughout one day, dry with no lube or lotion. On the last go around I noticed a small a very dull sting, immediately checking only what looked to be a very tiny skin graze (as if skin was rubbed off) or cut on the under shaft of the penis, no redness, only a bit tender when messed with but virtually painless when left alone.
Day 2: Naturally I take a look at it, it's a bit red now with more of a mild "irritation" pain only when touched or squeezed, but still painless when left alone. At this point I started applying Triple Antibiotic ointment twice daily and keeping a band-aid around it. Also looked a bit swollen / slightly raised at times, while still being so small that to fully inspect it required good lighting and the skin to be stretched.
Day 3: after still applying triple antibiotic ointment and keeping a band aid on it, peeling it back it looked as if any "swelling" or raising had subsided. It now looks like a tiny rug burn, again as if the skin had been rubbed off. Any tenderness and pain was so little that I had thought it had disappeared within the day. Hardly tender when touched.
*I have not been sexually active for about 8 months now, all sex was protected except for oral, and with my girlfriend at the time.*
Main Question: Could this be an STD? Or trauma from a lot of masterbation at one time? Doing a lot of online research has freaked me out to think I might have herpes, but a lot of my symptoms don't seem to fall under the common symptoms of a first outbreak. I have an appointment at planned parenthood but unfortunately it's booked out pretty far.

June 2015 I got a flat white painless lesion on the inside vaginal lip, smaller then a dime. Didn't look like herpes pics. I went to the doctor she looked and open textbooks and said it didn't look like herpes. She did a culture but the culture got messed up so wasn't able to be tested. Never went back to get retested because the sore went away. October 2015, Same situation same size painless only hurt when urine passed over it but it didn't hurt to pee. January 2016 same situation took about a week to heal. Recently just got another one the end of March 2016 and pretty much went away in 2 days. What can this be, I'm scared to have sex.

I've got a bump on my buttcheeck, that when touched produces small local pain but notable pain on my tailbone. the distance between both spots is about 2 inches. Is it common for herpes lesions, when touched, to cause pain not locally but rather at the end of the nerve?

I'm 25, I have these very small red spots on my penile shaft that are not painful and do not itch. I kept picking at them and I couldn't tell if I "popped" them but one slightly bled and they are still there. They don't look like blisters or crusty. I know what herpes feels/looks like bc I got it on my face from wrestling in college. I also have what appeared to be chiggers around my ankles and knees and that has also spread throughout other places on my body such as my butt/waistline, bellybutton, and parts of my arm. Most of these have itch pretty bad, but some have not at all. My lymph nodes in the left side of my groin are slightly swollen and sore. I also had sort of a congestion thing too with a sore throat, but that seems to have subsided. However, I still feel pretty tired at times. I was freaking out about an STD, but when I went to the doctor he immediately said it looked nothing like an STD when he saw the spots and I was fine. They are spread out at least a half an inch and don't look clustered. He said it could be scabies or some kind of mite so he prescribed me antibiotics and prednisone which I started yesterday. The last time I was sexually active was about 6 wks ago with my girlfriend at the time, and she had been tested for STD's while we were together which came back negative. Does the doctor sound right on all of this and it's not something to worry about? I've been having other personal issues going on with family so this stuff is just kind of compounding on top of all that.2 hours ago-4 days left to answer. I also forgot to mention that my doc said it could also be folliculitis. The red dots on my penis have been there for about 3 days now. As far as the lymph nodes in the groin, I stay very active in sports and thought I might've stretched a muscle around there this past Saturday- not sure if that's the cause for them to be like they are.

I noticed on my shaft right below the head of the penis what looks like a circular/flat clear-like pimple. (But it's not a pimple) It's really only noticeable when you stretch the skin out. It's shiny but it's not itchy and I have no discharge. I don't feel a lump or anything. It's not painful either. It's been around for a month - i think. The size is small - no bigger than an eraser head of a pencil. I'm sure it's not an STD. Last week the skin started to peel but the mark remains. I have been masturbating more w/out lube. Could that be the issue? I heard of friction burn but I assume that would be painful.

So about a month ago I noticed these white dots that appears on the shaft of my penis that were flush with the skin (not bumps). About a week ago, I noticed that they have risen and turned into a cluster of little bumps and I'm afraid of it being herpes or maybe some other STI. I am very sexually active but with only one partner and I know that I am her only partner too. We use condoms about 80% of the time (she is also on the pill but can never be too safe). I would like to think of us two as very clean and hygienic people which is why I'm confused about what these small bumps are. They have given me no pain at all, in fact, I forget they're even there until I look at them.

I got diagnosed w/ HSV1 about a week ago. I slept with a girl about a month back who i didn't know very well, and I'm sure she passed the virus to me.
In any case, I masturbated about two weeks ago and noticed a significant bump on my penile shaft the morning after. It was hard, red, and noticeable. However, it DID NOT blister, and actually got significantly smaller each day before disappearing completely within 72 hours.
I masturbated again two days ago, and again the bump appeared. Obviously, I'm nervous this is HSV1. I've scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist, but that's two weeks down the road. As such, I'm in desperate need of peace of mind. Below are photos of the bump. The first is from the first day, the second is from the day after.
I know diagnosing something online is difficult. But can this be a herpe sore if it goes away so fast AND doesn't blister? It should also be known that the sore doesnt really hurt. It feels like a tiny pinch, but I can rub my finger on it without experiencing pain.

I have some small, painless, bumps on the shaft of my penis and they do not hurt and do not itch or anything. I do masturbate frequently and one day I just happen to notice that there were some very small bumps on the shaft of my penis. I've always had a few pimple like bumps on my penis for as long as I can remember. They can even be popped. But these new bumps are not the same thing. I haven't had sex in over a year and a half.

Last Wednesday I got hit with a soccer ball in the eye very hard from probably 2 feet in front of me. All I could see was grey, nothing else in that eye. I went to the ER where they diagnosed me of a hyphema. They then put me on drops to dilate and bring down my in-ocular eye pressure. It's been 3 days since then and I almost have my vision back with a little bit of blurriness. And the only thing that is concerning me now is the floaters.
1. Will they go away? Or will I "Get used to them?"
2. Can they go away completely?
3. Will the blurriness go away?

A few months back my Dr was checking my thyroid - said it felt soft - sent me for blood tests (MANY hypothyroid symptoms!) (which were ok - TSH only 1.1) and an ultrasound which showed a small 8x7x7mm hypoechoic mass lesion on the lower left lobe of my thyroid. I had a FNA biopsy two weeks ago, today actually, and already found out last Friday that 2 of the 3 pathologists said they can't say what it isn't but to remove it asap and the 3rd said absolutely consistent with papillary carcinoma and to remove it asap as well... so now I am just waiting to have it removed. My Dr absolutely agrees and said get it out! He said depending how bad it is they will decide whether they just remove the mass but will possibly remove the whole thyroid... do they end up doing two surgeries or do they get in there and see its worse then they thought and make the decision right then and there? He explained it is THE cancer to have - although no one wants any cancer... that it is very treatable etc. I'm just stressed and wondering about the whole thing. Is it normal to have normal thyroid levels but have PC?

My L4-L5 synovial cyst that I had removed two months ago has recurred again - this was the 2nd removal, so I've now grown 3 synovial cysts from the same dysfunctional facet joint.
One surgeon has recommended removing the bad facet joint which is causing the cysts and doing a microscopic fusion just at that level on that one side. I have no instability and no back pain issues elsewhere, so this is sounding like my best option, and not a very extensive surgery. I was wondering if anyone has had a fusion with a facet joint removal and how it worked out.

I'm 37 years old .After having slight pain and tenderness in my lower abdomen I decided to go to the ER where I was diagnosed with a lesion on my left ovary that"could be a complex ovarian cyst;however, there is a small chance that it could be something more serious like a mass" is the way that it was writing my discharged papers. The doctor said its 1 inch in diameter. I've been experiencing this pain off and on for a few months. Now I'm freaking out. I am going to schedule a follow up with my gynecologist next week. Should I be worried that this is cancer?

25 months ago I fell on my left ear, hit my head. The blow was really strong, I was out for a few seconds. The left ear was slightly bleeding for a few days. I am having tinnitus since then. Couldn't really hear with that ear very well, but it took about 2 weeks to get back around 90%. The doctor said it's common and it will be gone, but it hasn't!!!! Now I think I have full hearing, but tinnitus is still here! It's so annoying, what can I do?

Last sunday, i broke the back wisdom tooth on the upper jaw caused by trauma to the face, I went to an emergency dentist that night and had my tooth repaired ( required a big filling as most of my tooth broke off and was very close to exposing the nerve) the dentist prescribed me with painkillers and antibiotics to prevent a possible infection. I'm still in quite a bit of pain, the pain is a sharp shooting pain that's going into my ear, temple and down the side of my neck. I've been taking the pain relief and applying ice to my face but the pain has not improved. I'm going crazy from the pain, what should i do?

I'm 27 almost 28 and was diagnosed with delayed PTSD as the trauma was 8 years ago and as the DR said there's other things going on through hiding the trauma but we will start today with trying a drug called sertraline for a week or 2 and then through psychologists or CPN's we will look at multiple medications for the other problems as time moves on and as i tell them more of what happened they can better understand how to treat me. chronic nightmares, panic attacks, anxiety about going outside, bouts of anger. Anyone similar story or else close to this or know anything about the kinds of medications and stuff? Im hoping this is a step forward

I understand there is research suggesting that severe trauma shock or stress can be carried thro the DNA to the next generation. I know my mother was stressed during pregnancy with me and her mother committed suicide when my mother was young. The Baby Boomers parents had both world wars to contend with as well as The Depression, How many LS sufferers' mothers had traumatic times, and whether their histories should be taken into account when considering what causes autoimmune responses like LS

I am really nervous. I am having my 1st routine colonoscopy on Tuesday (I'm 50 years old) and I'm really nervous.
Colon cancer does not run in my family.
My stools are in all shapes and sizes. (fat, thin, big, small, flat, round, balls and watery). Sorry to be gross. This morning, my stools were somewhat big but I noticed 1 was semi flat. Twice today after eating, I had diarrhea.
Can nervous make you have diarrhea?
With colon cancer, will the stools always be thin or flat? Sometimes I have healthy stools but other times, my stools are small and thin. Never blood. Sometimes, it's yellow but then it's back to brown.
I don't eat well and I certainly don't get enough fiber in my diet but if (hopefully) my colonoscopy comes back normal, I will eat more fruit and veg and exercise.
I don't have any pain but I know I have a sludge in my gallbladder but for the last few days, I've been having pain which I think is all in my head and my nerves.
Could somebody please let me know what you think. Could it all be my diet and nerves?
