Herpes :: Possibility With Cunnilingus And Fellatio
May 13, 2016
I am 23yo hetero male living in Jakarta, Indonesia. I had a single protected vaginal and unprotected oral (cunnilingus and fellatio) with a 19yo with unknown status and she decided to block me totally when I inquire about her STD status, so we have no contact absolutely by now.
Day 0- protected vaginal, unprotected oral, and I 'stayed' on top of her fully naked for quite a while after we bathe
Day 14- I noticed a small pimple like thing on my penis, just below the 'ring', it hurt when I masturbated with my hand, I popped it out and blood came out, and it fully healed and within 2 days i have to pain at all
Day 15- I have sudden pain occurring inside my penis, sometimes so sudden, I involuntary move my body, this also happens to my testicles-- sudden pain and dull pain. Both of it stayed nonstop till today
Day 25- Pain in testicles and penis has not stopped (I have no discharge or I might have missed it?)
Day 26- Went for an STD check for
-HSV 1 IGG
-HSV 1 IGM (i know hsv igm is unreliable, but still tested for it)
-HSV 2 IGG
-HSV 2 IGM (i know hsv igm is unreliable, but still tested for it)
-HIV
-Chlamydia IGG (i know that blood test for chlamydia is unreliable but it is the only test available in my country, I have to fly to Singapore for a urine test)
-Chlamydia IGM
-VDRL
-TPHA
- I also did a normal urine test and everything was normal
ALL test came negative except chlamydia IGM which shows borderline. ( I have never had chlamydia in my life before, and this is only my second sexual encounter in my life). Upon knowing that I had borderline test, I immediately took 1gr of azythromycin, waited for a week, no improvement. Tried 6x500gr azy for 6 days, still no improvement.
Day 40- Noticed a pimple like bump of the side of my scrotum, bordering the scrotum and pubic region, popped it out, blood came out and it completely healed and does not hurt at all, all within 2 days
Day 42- I still have the same pain I had in day 14 (sharp pain in penis and testicles, nonstop, throughout the day), Decided to conduct another same set of STD test and all came negative except for the chlamydia igm, which, again, showed borderline.
I am really extremely depressed right now, I can't work, I can't function properly. I am really afraid of HSV 2, which In probably have, the only thing quite assuring for me right now is that dr. Hunter once state that at 6 weeks HSV is detected at around 80-90%.
I am now in a believe that I am 'immune' to azithromycin and currently on day 1 of 7 of levofloxacin and hoping it would get better.
I have visited skin and genital dr and also a urologist, in between all 43 days and both gave vague comments and suggested I do another STD test
I am extremely anxious right now, what do you think is the best solution?

I have been very concerned about the possibility of acquiring HIV from receiving unprotected fellatio. I have not had any unprotected penetrative sex encounters, and pretty much my only exposure is receiving unprotected fellatio from other my sex partners. I have not performed oral sex on any of them. Now what if any of them was HIV positive, would I contract the virus? Do I need to test for HIV since I have received unprotected oral sex?

I received fellatio 11 days ago, and after about 2 days, intermittently, I would feel a slight sting at the end of my penis, and then in the last few days, it has become a bit worse when I urinate.. Not unbearable, mind you, but very noticeable..
I also noticed tonight a little bit of white discharge.
I have researched symptoms to death, and I cannot seem to find any answers to questions like:
If you have burning when urinating (as some people are asymptomatic) does it burn
a) every time you urinate?
b) if you aren't drinking enough water, and maybe it is more acidic? (Sometimes it doesn't sting at all, I mean, until this morning, I was 24 hours without symptoms
c) for the duration of the pee? (for me it just happens at the end, and for a little bit after)
If there is discharge, is it constant, or could it perhaps just happen a few times a day?
Every site also says that it should be treated ASAP to avoid complications.. exactly how long does this mean? It causes problems after 2 weeks? 2 months? None give a time frame.
A doctor prescribed me 250mg Ciprofloxacin 3x a day.. I am on day 3, but it seems to be getting worse..
- Even though the clap is indicated for this, many sites also say that due to resistant strains, this stuff is pretty useless..
And the big question - is it possible to have a strain, which is simply not treatable, for the rest of my life? (or is just just a matter of bombarding my body with more and stronger medications until it goes away?

I did a dumbest thing in my life - I am from canada. I went to a massage parlor. I did cunnilingus for a max of 2 mins on masseuse vagina. And received a protected blow job. I also deep french kissed her. No sex of any kind.
Symptoms: After 4 weeks since that incident
I have lymph nodes (total 7) around my neck, 1 occipital node on left side (app 1 cm) and 2 on each sides of neck, 3 in front of neck and 1 on right back near spinal cord. All less than 1 cm.
Had mild sore throat few days ago not now. I don't think I have fever.
Had 2 canker sore. Headache couple of time.
Rashes on my neck and chest (on chest itchy)
Yesterday night sweats.
I am not sure if had any cuts or sore on my lips or mouth.
Can anyone please answer these questions.
1) what is the risk of hiv based on my exposure with tongue usage and sores in my mouth?
2) How big does lymph nodes swell in ars? Is it normal to have them around 29 days?
3) which part of neck does hiv lymph nodes swell? Along with front of my neck in regions 1a, 1b, 5 and 6 I have posterior cervical lymph node.
4) some say cunnilingus has caused hiv in few cases
Some say it has never definitely associated with hiv infection
Which of these 2 is true? I am confused. Even ID specialist have 2 opinions
5) protected blow job and deep french kissing I assume of no risk?

last wednesday i have sex with a sex worker. we have unprotected oral sex and protected intercourse. im very regret i did that, is the worst thing i have ever done in my life. now the problem is, i'm so scare i will get std or even hiv. during the intercourse, it seems that my condom get loose after a while and i have touch my hand on the condom (there's fluid on it) and change a new condom. i'm not sure if i have touched my penis after removing it and before wearing a new one. if i have touched my penis before wearing a new one with the fluid. how high is the probability of getting std and hiv from fluid? the sex worker also give me a handj*b before changing a new one.

I had sex with a person that is HIV positive unknowingly till after the fact but did use protection such as a polyisoprene condom. My concern is it possible that my condom failed and I would have not seen it as I really didn't pay too close of attention to it when I removed the condom? Also does polyisoprene (Skyn) condoms give good enough protection against STD's since it is a non latex product?
I have had a few ailments such as rashes and throat concerns but not together and each time something happens I try to link it too the fact I had sex with someone that had HIV. I am like most on here I am frightened that I have exposed myself to a risk even though I took a precaution and used a condom the thought that lies in the back of my mind is was there somehow a failure that I overlooked?

Hello everyone,
Back in March of this year I ended up heading to the emergency room for this strange numbness feeling that began in my hands and feet and then travelled throughout the rest of my body; it lasted about five or six days and then went away completely. I was in the hospital for four days and while I was there I had a CT, lumbar puncture, and an MRI of my brain, all of which were normal. I ended up with a diagnosis of 'post-viral acroparasthesia' and was told that I would be fine.
However, this numbness came back again a couple weeks later. I went back to the emergency room and they said that it wasn't that out of the ordinary for this happen again but gave me a referral to a neurologist who then ordered three more tests: 1) peripheral nerves, 2) evoked potentials, and 3) an MRI of my spine. I've done the peripheral nerve test and that was normal and I have to wait a bit to go to the other tests. I've also had my blood tested for pretty much everything and it's all been normal.
But throughout all the months that I've been waiting to follow-up with the neuro, the numbness as well as some other strange symptoms keep coming out of nowhere (seemingly) and going away. I get really bad tension headaches, lightheadedness, numbness and tingling, fatigue, frequently urinating (sometimes I wake up four times throughout the night), feel a massive brain fog, and more generally I just feel a great deal of malaise. I usually feel like this for four-five days in a row every couple of weeks and then feel completely fine.
These symptoms are pretty ambiguous but MS is something that I'm pretty worried about. My dad has it and is in the latter stages so the doctor's are considering it a possibility. I've seen quite a few doctors now and they haven't been able really figure this out. The most insightful thing that I have been told is that I could have some type of virus, which sometimes may last for a long period of time, and this might explain why I'm getting sick so frequently. I have just been told that I'm going to have to wait to see the neurologist and have anything neurological ruled out.
Whatever is wrong with me is very frustrating. I'm 22 years old working on my university degree and being sick so frequently has taken a huge tole on my academic performance. Also, financially I'm not doing so great and have been cycling through jobs...I mostly end up quitting or getting fired due to the fact that it's been very hard to work like this; it's really causing me a lot of stress.
Prior to all of this I have been quite healthy. I'm very athletic and go out of my way to eat healthy. I don't drink any alcohol, don't do any drugs, and quit smoking cigarettes back in January.
Anything to suggest? Whatever is happening to me is really messing up my life. I can't afford to be so sick all the time and I feel so desperate to know what's wrong.

I'm aware that penis to vagina rubbing doesn't cause a significant increase in contracting HIV. However, what if you get a herpes infection from penis to vagina rubbing. Will HIV come along for the ride then? Or is the risk still the same?

I am a 23 year old homosexual male that has had 2 sexual partners in his life. I was with my first sexual partner for a period of about 6 months, and in that time I did have unprotected sex. However, even though I had never had sex before (which is why I had never been STD tested), my partner at the time did get tested before we were ever intimate and he came back negative for all STD's, including HIV. I have not been with that partner for over a year now.
About nine months ago, I started dating the partner that I am still with today. We have had sex, but have never been without using protection. Back in February of 2014 he and I went for a routine STD test and he came back negative while I came back positive for the ELISA test. My general physician ran a confirmatory test and that came back indeterminate. Then, she had me run a viral load, and they could not find any virus in my blood. So I went to see an Infectious Disease Specialist a few weeks later and she had me repeat testing. She told me that I shouldn't have had anything to worry about because my ELISA index value was so low (6) that she didn't know why my GP even told me that I was positive. Once again, when I retested, I tested positive for the ELISA antibody test, but indeterminate for the confirmation test and they still could not detect a viral load. They are having me wait until the three month mark to repeat another test to see if that gives me an answer.
But I am concerned. The last possible exposure that I had to HIV was with my first partner and that was over a year ago, and he routinely tested negative. My partner and I now have only ever practiced safe sex, and he routinely tests negative for HIV, too!
I don't quite understand what to think at this point. Is there a possibility for cross-reaction to the ELISA test? I am so ready to not be confused anymore!!

I had an unprotected sex encounter with a CSW since the condom broke 8 weeks ago. I now see a red raised spot to the left of my penis on the genital area which I suspect to be a wart. I am worried but mostly I am worried if I had passed it to my wife since I had unprotected sex twice with her within a week of the exposure. My wife had not complained yet of symptoms and we are currently staying far from each other and will be like that at least for another year due to personal constraints.
Is there a timeframe when I could have turned contagious or I could have transmitted the virus to her already? How can I ascertain for sure that my wart is indeed a genital wart and not any other wart. Should I wait for my wife to notice symptoms as I heard that the virus is usually suppressed by immune system?
All my Sti tests are negative at 8 week mark.

Recently found out that I have genital herpes. It's scaring me because I'm a lesbian and I feel like I will never be able to have sex again. I have a couple of questions.
I'm in a relationship with a woman, would she contract herpes by giving me oral sex when I don't have an "outbreak"? Can she contract the virus orally?
What's are the risks and probabilities?
Can you have herpes 1 in your genitals or is it only herpes 2 in your genitals. What does this really mean?

Hello! I was recently back in February diagnosed with hpv. I had full blood work done and I have no other diseases or infections. I've also not had sex since before the testing. I recently noticed I have two painful blisters, one on the inside of my labia and the other on the other lip. I shave and I've had ingrown hairs but these definitely don't feel the same. They are super uncomfortable. I'm unable to go to the doctor until The end of the week and wanted to see if anyone knew what they might be? And any temporary ideas for pain relief? Over the counters pain killers do nothing. Also, I have extremely bad allergies to pollen and with the pollen, came these blisters, so I am not sure if they are related. I've added pictures below. Thanks for the help.

27 YO male. Been tested a few times with negative test results for HSV 1 and 2 IGG tests. However, from time to time, I get these little sores on the very corner of my mouth (generally on the right side, VERY small, and singular). They don't hurt terribly bad and don't really leave any crusting. Sometimes they are tender and red, but generally not painful (barely noticeable most of the time). I was curious to know if this has happened to anyone else and they found out what it was? I don't think it's herpes, but it shares some symptoms.
I'm fairly sexually active, but I am very cautious as to whom I sleep with, always wear condoms, and give a good check of someone's oral region before I engage in anything. Thoughts?

I've been in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend for about 4.5 months. We started getting physical about a month ago. I'm a virgin and have yet to do anything physical with a man. He has limited experience. He told me he was tested last May after his last relationship ended and it came back negative. I'm the first girl he's been with since May. We started having oral sex about a month ago. We've gotten carried away and had it unprotected three times.
I got a rash between my butt cheeks about a month ago. No blisters, lesions or burning when i pee. After a week, it scabbed over. I noticed the scab was perfectly symmetrical on both sides. It was like one long scab on each side of my butt crack. Then, I noticed an increase in vaginal discharge. It scared the crap out of me. Normal color and consistency. No odor. Just a lot. I got tested for everything. It all came back negative. It was three weeks after our first encounter. One week after our last.
I went to the doctor. She diagnosed me with impetigo. As it turns out, me shaving that area and then wearing a tight thong and skinny jeans was a bad idea. I've used the cream faithfully and the rash fell off and went back to normal. A bit of itching but I think that's because skin is growing. I talked to my boyfriend about it. He insists that I have nothing to worry about and that in the only girl he's had unprotected oral with. I asked him to get an STD test and he complied. We have to wait a week for the results.
Over the past week? I've noticed a slight itching and burning around my pubic area. No bumps or lesions. No pain when I pee. Plus, I feel an excess of discharge when I wipe. I went to another doctor who gave me a prescription for Diflucan for a suspected yeast infection. She also did a Pap smear and sent it off to test for BV, trich, syphilis and chlamydia. However, in worried about herpes. I made a mistake and went to WebMD and everything points to herpes. Does this sound like herpes? Herpes wouldn't be completely symmetrical. Right?
Other facts that may be important.
I just started to use tampons instead of pads
I douched about three days before I got the rash.
I never wore cotton underway before this. I like cutesy underwear.

My daughter recently had an encounter with unprotected sex with her boyfriend, he proceeded to tell her after sex that he had herpes and had only had it for 7 months with only 2 outbreaks, who knows if this is true or not. She broke up with him and I told her to go to the gynecologist and get screened for STDs. she has had no outbreaks and they have not had sex for 2 weeks. they said her pap smear was fine and they did blood work on her for hsv1 and hsv2. the MD called and said that her HSV1 was 67 percent and HSV 2 was 2.75. he said this was very low and that she has probably had it for a long time and did not contact it from this recent partner. I also read that combined testing of hsv1 and hsv2 can be false positives. she has had absolutely no symptoms at all. does this mean she has genital herpes or is there any other test that can be done to make sure she doesn't have it. she is 22 and having major panic and anxiety or this, it is breaking my heart.

I was diagnosed with herpes when I was 19 years old. Fast-forward 35 years... I am experiencing my second recurrence. How common is this? Has this happened to anyone out there?

I've been married for just shy of two years now. My wife has HSV-2. I've known about this from early on in our relationship. I've done my best to do my research, to learn as much as I could about the condition, once I learned she had it. I won't claim to be an expert on the subject, but I've learned a reasonable amount.
The Problem: She seems to still be spooked... if that's the right word.
We had both had somewhat active pasts, and so rather than rushing into things, we had agreed to wait until marriage. Well, long story short, as I say, we've been married for just shy of two years now, and we've yet to consummate our marriage. She won't let me even touch her. Hugs and kisses, yes, but there has been zero intimacy for the duration of the marriage. For the longest time, if I tried to talk to her about it, she'd just say, "I don't know" and get angry and close off. Recently, as we were talking, she opened up a bit more than she ever has, and she made a comment about "I don't want you to catch what I have." I told her I was aware that it is much easier for a female to catch it from a male, than it is for a male to catch it from a female. "I just told you that" she snapped, and that was the end of that conversation. (We'd just been looking at a pamphlet on HSV-2).
I understand that this is scary for her, and I understand that she is trying to keep me from getting this, but the mention above is about the only time in the two years we've been married, or the two years and change we were together before we got married. I'm kept literally at arm's length.
When we got married, she was taking val-whatever it's called, the suppressive medication, but she hasn't even been taking that for the last several months. I'm trying to be supportive, but I really don't know what to do anymore.
Am I wrong for wanting to touch my wife, hold my wife, to be intimate with my wife? Am I wrong for wanting to make love to my wife?
This is understandably, a wedge between us.

Hi, can some one plz help me? I had protected sex and protected oral with this woman about 4 months ago. I think I had itchy thighs and the tip of my penis will have this weird felling from time to time, like a mild burn or a dull feeling. I took at test at 4, 6, 11, and 15.5 weeks and they were all negative for hsv 2. I was positive for hsv 1 but I had cold sore when I was little so idk if that's why it was positive. My hsv2 results have always been <.90 and haven't gone up or down. Now do y'all think those result are conclusive for hsv2 or should I keep testing?
