View 4 RepliesMy internal hems. are not responding to a doctor's injections. They (3) are not major, but I wish (almost) they would become thrombus so it/they could be cut out. I had that years ago.
The pain is not so great as to cause bleeding, toilet trouble but the pain is there every day for two months.
Putting on ointments in public toilets all the time to cool the pain. Awful. Inconvenient and interferes with daily life.
Gets worse with stress.
Getting desperate, looking online - Venapro. But online wonder-meds never seem to work so I'm sceptical.
I am only 18 years old and i have been suffering from hemorrhoids, is this even possible? I have went to my physician and to a gastroenterologist, they have given me countless medications and they haven't worked.i have changed my diet to include more water and fiber but that hasn't worked. When i go to the bathroom there is constipation and its very painful and the hemorrhoids do come out but they go back in when i am done. Should i go to a general surgeon?
View 1 RepliesHi I had my internal haemorrhoids banded two months ago they were really bad always alot of blood when I used the toilet . Up until now it's been fine but today I've started bleeding again. Will I ever be free of them. Has anyone had same experience.
View 2 RepliesI've had my hemorrhoids for several years. It started out as a bit of blood on toilet paper after going to the bathroom. I did see a doctor about it and it was suggested it could be a hemorrhoid and was given suppositories and it was suggested I schedule a colonoscopy. I was 28 at the time. I tried the suppositories and they seemed to work so I didn't go through with the colonoscopy, which was probably not smart on my part.
The bleeding stopped for awhile but would come back. Over the next few years the hemorrhoid became large enough that it would stick out when I went to the bathroom and I'd have to push it back in. I finally worked up the nerve to have it checked and found a doctor I felt good about.
I went in this morning to a colorectal surgeon. He and his nurse were very nice. We talked for a few minutes, and then he had me get on the table for an exam. He used a small scope to look inside and said I had several hemorrhoids and that for the kind I had, banding was the recommended treatment. He said he could do it right now and that most people say it feels like a dull toothache for a day or two after the procedure.
The doctor banded the two largest hemorrhoids. The whole process took less than 30 seconds. The procedure was painless. About a minute after, I started to feel some discomfort like I really had to go to the bathroom. That sensation lasted for about 30 minutes. Then it became a dull pain. It's now 10 hours later and the dull pain remains. But, it's nothing unbearable. I was able to go about my normal activities (I was sure to have the doctor be clear on this) and I have been fine. Sitting in a car is most discomforting. Standing or laying down is best. I did sit in a hot bath and that has helped the discomfort quite a bit.
My doctor said the discomfort should go away in a day or two and the band should take about 5 days or so to fall off. I have a follow-up appointment in three weeks to probably band more hemorrhoids. I really thought I only had one big hemorrhoid but it turns out I have several. At least I know and feel much better about getting them taken care of.
All in all, I'm glad I finally had this done. The discomfort isn't a big deal and totally worth not having to worry about it and dealing with it when I go to the bathroom. I was able to take a nap this afternoon despite the discomfort.
I plan to update this over the next week, and maybe through my next appointment. I'm anxious to see how I feel in the morning!
I am a 28 year old male i have had digestive issues for years now that we are still working on treating
I definitely have hemorrhoids i'm just not sure if i have internal or external or maybe even both, at times i feel the bump outside but also at times i feel like my stool is being blocked and gas as well
i have started taking more fiber in and my moments are good and regular now but are very painful and i feel like i don't go completely the first time then each additional time i go its harder and harder to get the rest out and also it gets thinner in consistency
i really feel like a hemorrhoid is blocking my stool
i am going away for awhile and i can't get to a dr before hand so im just looking at advice on what i can try specifically for the problem of stool being blocked and dealing with potential internal hemorrhoids at home
My sister is 60 years old and is experiencing amounts of blood in her stool lately . She suspects that it is internal hemorrhoids (she had similar condition approx. 3 years ago.) She went to the doctor who examined her and told her that she could not feel any internal hemorrhoids but gave her suppositories and told her to return in two weeks time for another look. My sister has no other symptoms, no pain except for some itching after she goes to poop and no changes in bowel habits, appetite etc. My question is therefore, is it possible for someone to have internal hemorrhoids that a doctor cannot feel?
View 1 RepliesSo - been to the GP today as had fresh blood from backside now for about 3 days with no pain.
She had a good feel around (much to my dismay!) she said no fissures but that I could 'possibly' have an internal hemorrhoid as she felt something 'squishy' but to be honest... She didn't sound very confident!
She's given me some hydrocortisone suppositories (lovely) and said she hopes the problem will disappear as quickly as it came about.
Other than the fresh blood I have no problems whatsoever and no other symptoms.
Also, she mentioned a camera up the bum if it doesn't resolve or gets worse. Help me god!!!
Has anyone experienced bad flare ups with internal hemorrhoids since starting this perimenopausal rollercoaster? Sorry to be so personal but is this hormone related?
View 4 RepliesI've been having problems with hemorrhoids for many years now. Probably about 8 years or so (I am 27). It has gotten worse in the last 2-3 years I'd say. How do I tell if this is internal or external hemorrhoids?
I've read up on the symptoms and I'm not sure how to read this. For me, the flare up only occurs after a bowel movement. If i go to sleep right after, the hemorrhoids is always gone. Sometimes the hemorrhoids will go away on its own after a few hours on its own (how? i dont know).
All i know is that it never goes on for more than 1 day continuously because it always goes away when I go to sleep. Any idea which type I have? Its gotten to a point where I dread bowel movements because it makes walking difficult (unless I find a comfortable laying position where it will go away on its own). Hoping there is a way to make the hemorrhoids go away within an hour of the bowel movement.
I had some internal hemorrhoids banded yesterday under general anaesthetic , I thought I would be ok today but I seem to be in severe pain. Is the normal.
View 3 RepliesHave been having problems with hemorrhoids for last two months. after lots of straining due to bad constipation also sitting for long periods of time GP examined me and gave me suppositories which didn't do much to help only relief I seem to get is when I am laying down on my side in bed I have mostly internal haemorrhoids that are very painful I have had no bleeding at all also feels like bad nerve pain with it. Some soreness inside and burning sensation.
View 1 RepliesI had piles during my 1st pregnancy and at the birth of my first child but they went within a week so when I got them again after the delivery of my second baby I wasn't concerned, however to cut a long story short 16 months later I have had internal, prolapsed and external piles. I've had them thrombose internally and externally and developed fissures and a Polyp. I've seen 4 different surgeons both privately and NHS and have had an Anal stretch, banding, Stapled Hemorrhoidectomy (PPH) botox injection for a fissure, a polypectomy and just last week doppler guided ligation (Halo) and skin tag removal but here I am laying in bed unable to work, look after my kids, walk or do anything. Everyone is really putting themselves out for me and my friends and family have been great but they can't go on taking time off and asking about me forever.
I still have this feeling of unbelievable fullness, burning, stinging and after the last operation it looks like I have a new inflamed external hemorrhoid. It's gone way past embarrassment for me. I need to get better because I can not live like this much longer.
I eat really well and take lactulose to keep my stools soft but i'm unable to exercise.
Im so depressed and just want to feel normal again. Go for a walk, take the kids to the park, go on holiday, find a job I can't believe all the things this horrible condition is making me miss. I feel like i've missed my baby growing up. I know how lovely it is to be a mum because I enjoyed every minute with my first baby but now i'm a different person in an awful place.
I've been having problems recently that i'm pretty sure is either internal rectal prolapse or pretty bad haemorrhoids. This has made wiping after a bowel movement very difficult. I have also been suffering from incomplete evacuation, presumably as a result of the blockage.
I tend to use wet wipes but i still find that i am on the toilet wiping for a very long time. Its an extremely frustrating and demoralising experience. I wonder if anyone else has a similar issue? if so, does anyone have any tips so that I can ensure that i get the whole area clean? As i often worry that i haven't been able to clean everywhere properly and that its making me smell bad.
I have tried wetting the wet wipes with warm water, but i find this makes the area more sensitive which causes pain when wiping further down the line.
Recently 3 internal piles were removed through surgery(about 2 months) some white n yellow coloured mucus like substance is coming out of anus and it's stenching a lot even if there is nothing around anus also the smell was there. And i have recently observed small lumps nearer to anus towards my penis.but no pain because of them.I was embarrassed a lot and afraid to move with the people.
View 1 RepliesAround my anus feels hard and lumpy and now today i noticed one lump is visible. It looks like a little bubble/sack of blood. Do hemorrhoids contain blood? I can press on it and push it in a bit it feels soft inside. Do hemorrhoids feel soft and can be pushed or are they hard and solid?
Also the only thing i can think of is having sex with a stranger 4 weeks ago. He wore a condom but i was drunk and can't remember if it came off or broke or if he took it off so i am worried could that have caused this? Does it sound like a hemorrhoid or a wart caused by stds? We didn't have anal just vaginal but i know it's all connected and close together. I'm worried because i don't know what it is if it s a hemorrhoid or not
I slightly had them while pregnant now postpartum they're pretty bad. And gross.
How do I get rid of them? Or how long until they go away? I don't want my bf to see them the first time we have sex again.
Please help
View 4 RepliesI feel it is my duty to share my information that I have gathered on this problem from my pricy doctor and share this information for free.
First do not clean area with soap it is only going to make it worse and more pain full and dry out the area. Most people think that the itching means their dirty so they will use excise amounts of soap actually making the problem worse.
My case was so bad I had to buy a plastic seat cover and sit my butt in the warm water for 15 minutes 2 times a day for 5 weeks. Let me tell how much this relieved the pain. It cost around 35 dollars and is a well worth the money.
Then you must purchase Prax lotion this stuff works amazing and use every time after you use the bathroom. After a 2 days I was able to have a full nights rest.
Then buy Calmol 4: use them for up to 4 times a day. It's very awkward to get used to and this is coming from a guy but I don't know what I would do.
I am telling you if you follow these directions you will be fine in a matter of 2 weeks after the first time of this treatment it was truly amazing felt like my old but again.
I no longer have to use the seat or the lotion. I am just using the Calmol 3-4 times a week once or twice a day and it is proving its effectiveness. It may seem like a lot but if you want to be comfortable and be able to go on trips and not worry then please follow these steps.
*****Diet*****
Not one to be on a super health kick but I do not eat fast food often but I do have my fare share of Pizza's chinese food and cheese steaks god I love cheese steaks could go for one right now extra hot peppers but anyway I also drink heavy on the weekends I'm talking like black out drunk. I'm not saying its going to work for everyone but this has been working for me for the past year without any blood when I wipe and what not. After a nights of drinking I apply the Calmol 4 and a nice wipe with the lotion and I am back in action. Also try to stay away from the soda.
**** Sorry for the rant but I think it is my duty for spending so much at the butt doctor and it could have been resolved if he told me these steps and I could have saved a bunch of money like in the thousands of dollars. I had to see him once a month costing 600 a visit for almost 8 months. Almost made me go broke.
This post is simply me sharing my story so other people may not make the same mistake as I did. I am a 27 y/o male. I first noticed hemorrhoid issues when I was 20, just an occasional flare up for a week or 2 out of the year, no big deal. Each year it continued to flare up more and more. Until for the past year or so every time I would have a bowel movement there would be bleeding sometimes just a couple drops in the water sometimes blood sprayed all over. Still I did not seek treatment besides trying not to strain. Then an unrelated health issue sent me to my Doc, in the course of this he did all the blood tests known to man I think. My consistent bleeding for over a year had made me anemic with a hemoglobin of only 8.3, two weeks later hemoglobin of 8.0 and an extremely low testosterone level as well which was caused by the chronic anemia. The hematologist had me immediately scheduled for an appointment with a surgeon. Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, and a Banding. The banding at first didn't seem to bad, luckily I was knocked out for the colonoscopy so I wasn't awake for the banding. However, the next week was constant pain, and the first two days were nearly unbearable. I've never had a problem with hemorrhoids that seem to remain outside the body until after this procedure not sure if the banding or colonoscopy could have worsened that condition. However 2 weeks after the banding I still have hemorrhoids and the symptoms were worse than ever: pain, itching, burning. Well I had already decided unless the bleeding was extreme again I WOULD NOT go back for another dr visit. I tried sitz bath (which for me over the years have always seemed to provide quick relief BUT then cause worse inflammation in a few hours). I tried ACV on cotton balls, painful and after a week didn't notice any improvement. During this entire time I had also converted to a high fiber diet. After the ACV I continued high fiber diet, using a stacker to put my feet on when I'm having a bowel movement, and using tucks witch hazel in the morning and before bed. With those I finally am symptom free. However, I am going to keep doing these thing forever because it seems to me that hemorrhoids, once they get out of control, will never go away completely. You just have to treat them and manage them and you will remain symptom free but if you go back to the same old habits. They will come back same as before. I am still on an iron supplement and taking testosterone shots as well.
View 1 RepliesI have all the signs of a roid. The uncomfortable feeling the pain the little blood there for about 5 days. Then in the shower last night all the syptoms i thought went away. when I was drying my bottom I noticed alot more blood and now it has been bleeding for a day to where I have to put paper towel in my pants or I would ruin them.
