Hello. Today While showering, I noticed I have a strange bean sized lump around my anal sphincter. The lump moves under my skin when I touch it, and seems to not be stationary. The lump appears to be white in color, although I admittedly have had trouble getting a good look at it.
View 2 RepliesAbout 3 Months ago i experienced some discomfort after going to the toilet (#2's), and noticed i had a small lump just outside my anus. It seemed like it went away, but everytime i go #2's it comes back out. Recently it's gotten a fair bit larger, and i believe there's a second one there too. Today, it seems like the larger one doesn't go back in, so it's constantly outside my anus and constantly hurts because it's chaffing between my bottom.. I haven't noticed any bleeding, and it is usually pain free because it goes back into my anus.
The lumps aren't overly hard, i can put a bit of pressure on them by squeezing, but i haven't tried to pop them or anything like that, afraid what may happen.
I have had a swollen anus for about 2 months now, it was painful to begin with and then settled down but now there is a little pea-sized lump on the anal opening that is tender. I can push it back in and it usually come out on the toilet along with some swelling. My knickers are wet today, also with slight urge to itch anal area. What could this be? Is it haemorrhoids? How should I treat it?

The morning after I went to the bathroom for #2 (been a little constipated for the past few days) and there a small amount of blood when I wiped. I also just noticed a pea sized lump just outside the anus. It's pink/purple/skin colored and sensitive to touch. I also feel discomfort when I sit or go to the toilet but it's bearable.
Is this consistent with hemorrhoids?
What can I do about it and when should I see a doctor (I don't have an insurance yet)?
Yesterday, I had an encounter with a guy I don't know very well. He told me he was HIV- and he didn't have any STD. We kissed a lot and engaged in protected anal sex. He ejaculated and removed the condom. It was intact and seemed perfect. 30 minutes later, we began to frottage. He rubbed his penis around my anus and then pushed in against my anal sphincter like he was trying to put it in without condom. I felt the pressure and told him to stop immediately so he did. I'm not sure but 1/3 of his penis glans might get in between my sphincter but definitely not get through it. It was like 2 or 3 seconds. He might have some Pre-ejaculation too. Am I at risk? Should I go for PEP?

View 7 RepliesI have a bump on my anal sphincter. I have no stds, have never had anal sex, and I have never had a hemorrhoid. I hope I do not have one so I would like more information. It just appeared about a week ago. I did shave down there the night before and had sex that night but its a normal routine so I don't understand why I have it. Could it be a cut from my razor that could have gotten infected because of friction? But its not white. Same color as my skin. Could it be a pimple? I don't see a head anywhere on it. Is it a hemorrhoid? I haven't done anything different that would cause that.

View 1 RepliesTwo weeks ago I underwent an anal sphincter repair as well as a rectovaginal fistula repair. I had a fourth degree tear at the birth of my second baby 9 months ago and as a result of this needed this surgery. However a small hole appeared to one side of my back passage and I got this looked at by the registrar in the Hosp and was told it would probably heal on its own and not to come back unless more complications. I was put on antibiotics. Two days later the hole is bigger and there is both fecal matter and thread from surgery coming out of this hole. I am now presuming I have an anal fistula. Has anybody experienced this after an anal sphincter repair?

View 1 RepliesAbout a month ago I detected a lump in my right labia majora, somewhat near where my thigh meets the lips. It itches on the surface and if you pinch the skin you can feel a pea sized lump a little deep in. I thought it was an ingrown hair but no white head has appeared for me to try and pop it. It has not grown, it only hurts if I mess with it often, and the little pimple like bump (with no head) on the surface sometimes feels bigger and itchier. It feels kinda hard but it is moveable. Idk if it is an ingrown hair anymore, anyone have info on what it may be? I'll go to the doctor if I have to but I don't wanna go and them say its nothing but I also don't want to wait too long and then it be something.

I've tried heating pads and warm baths but it seems to not surface or go away. It is very hard and seems to have a fever. It has become very difficult to walk or even get up. View 7 RepliesSo I'm in a spot of bother. But first a brief back story (excuse the pun!):
I live in South Korea and around 3 months ago i had really bad stomach pains, vomiting blood, feeling like death etc. Now, being in a foreign country where English isn't spoken too much i was very scared and went to A&E straight away and pretty much got a whole menagerie of tests including a colon and endoscopy. The doctors had a good look around and found nothing wrong. The vomiting stopped almost as quickly as it began and my stomach pain vanished.
However, a few weeks later i started passing stool that was very painful and then started seeing a lot of blood. It was everywhere; in my stool, when i wiped and even (and most alarmingly) dripping straight from my anus. This was a very distressing time for me, I couldn't even get intelligible feedback from the doctors (no ones fault i should add!). Anyway, after another round of 'scopys they found I had a Hiatal Hernia!
- My first question is has anyone else here been diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia??
So this explained the stomach pain and through my own research/assumption/vague doctor explanation this most probably caused constipation, stress, straining and eventually resulted in blood flowing freely from my back side. The doctors previously couldn't see hemorrhoids or anal fissures. But after one particularly bloody episode I returned to AE and they said, without tests being carried out, i had either internal hemorrhoids or an acute anal fissure.
So my questions are;
-How do you know the difference?
-Without another (expensive) colonoscopy will I be able to tell?
-Do Hemorrhoids exaggerate into (or cause) anal fissures?
-Are the treatments for each condition different?
-Is this a lifetime issue now I've got it?
I know what you're thinking; why don't i ask a doctor. Well its not that easy (or cheap) and i figured someone here probably had the same questions and got decent answers (in english) they might want to share?
Also, happy(ish) ending; I rarely see blood anymore, except after a particularly hard stool, and only then its when i wipe and no dripping. I put this down to a few things.I started eating a LOT more fiber, i was trying to maintain 35g of the stuff a day which equated to 1 banana, 2 large apples (200g) and 300g of sweet potato (skin on). 3 - 4 litres of water a day too. At the height of my pain i would have a spoonful of olive oil first thing in the morning, followed by a sitz bath and the MAIN thing is squatting while passing, i cannot recommend this last point enough!
I'm actually experiencing a bit of pain at the moment but i'm putting this down to having a couple of weeks off my regime. Alcohol and fried/salty food should be avoided for prolonged periods it seems! Also for those of you that work out, avoid lower back exercises, or at least go light on the weights in that area.
i am a bisexual boy and i have hemorrhoids and when i have sex with my boyfriend it's so painful(i am a but) and after or during the sex may anus bleeds after sex i usually wash my anus with betadine and after that with shower gel and then i use an anti hemorrhoids suppository i wanna know if it helps and i f i'm doing the right thing after having anal sex?
