I had vaginal exposure before 3 months with a street prostitute..i used flavoured condom which many websites claim that it isnt effective in protecting against stds and hiv..2 weeks after my exposure i got throat infection along with fever..then suddenly i got pain in one of my knee which migrated towards my both feet elbows ankles hands fingers..this pain is constant from 2.5 months....pain is most severe at night，its like burning on soles and pain from knees till feet....cant even sleep because of this horriblebpain..i think its peripheral neuropathy..i have tested at 6th week 9th week and 12th week after exposure and it came negative....but my pain is still there unbearable..i have taken lots of medicines pain killers but nothing worked..i was hospitalised for 2 months and had severe surgery so m confused whether my body isnt producing enoungh antibodies till 12 weeks because of my surgery and high dosed steroids?should i get tested again at 6 months looking at my persistent symptoms?

HIV is possible with condoms?
I was with a prostitute 25 days ago ago never before had, in fact it was a very big stupidity and I'm sorry from the bottom I had both oral and vaginal intercourse with condom is not broke, according to what I saw at day 20 did 2 test HIV duo combo both came back negative.

Every time I use a condom I get watery, itchy, small sores on my penis in numbers of at most 2. I got a treatment but it keeps on reappearing every now and then the moment I use condom. I'm scared I have herpes, but i want to make sure before I go assuming things. Also, I feel like I might be allergic to condoms because every time I use one the thing reappears as early as the following morning. If anyone knows what this could be or has any advice on what to do I would greatly appreciate it.

I and other volunteers see a lot of posts regarding symptoms after an exposure. Some are minor such as a rash or a swollen node to "HIV like" such as a cluster of fever, sore throat, sores and body aches. Keep this in mind that as humans we are covered or exposed to germs, common viruses, and fungus which we all carry. This is called the "the biome" which is the invisible part of our environment. When we have sexual contact with somebody or their body fluids we expose each other to these organisms and our body reacts accordingly to fend off these invaders sometimes making us feel ill or display manifestations of symptoms. Stress and anxiety post exposure contribute to this since chronic stress decreases the immune system and makes us more susceptible to common infections. But what about the rashes? One may ask. Stress and anxiety causes the "fight or flight" response in our bodies causing release of cortisol which causes itchy rashes on the skin. Cortisol rashes are also called "hives" can be be similar to rashes found in STDs and can be frightening when they occur, (Ive been there). Allergic reactions also play a part. Also, sometimes the timing of exposure and illness is purely coincedental. Finally, if you have had a high risk exposure- when in doubt, test out.

I had two sexual partner last week end, with one i had safe anal sex and received unsafe oral sex with both, later in the same day i noticed erosion/cut on my penis, since then I am so anxious that i may be infected with HIV .I don't know if this erosion was before sex or after :(...As I know I should wait 3 months to get tested but i can not live normal life with this situation.

i'm 31 years old bisexual. 4 days ago I had sexual contact with a married man. I did oral sex and he ejaculated on my mouth. Later I found out, I was bleeding inside and some cuts noted. As I converse with that guy, hes telling me he is hiv positive with unknown viral load status, he has multiple partners before and even engage in sexual contact with men. Theres no anal sex happened.

Last night u had a couple friends over. I recently got my wisdom teeth taken out and this afternoon I used a new cup to rinse but as I rinsed with salt water I noticed some brown spots in the cup. It grossed me out and a family member said maybe someone used by accident. I know my one friend used a plastic cup but I thought he threw it out and I'm pretty sure he did. But I'm not sure if this friend may have hiv and if I used the same cup the next day with wisdom tooth surgery happening 5 days ago could I be at risk for transmission if he does have it? I bought a fruit pot from a store earlier today, whilst eating the fruit I noticed red stains on some of the fruit which looked like blood. I didn't realise to I eat half the pot so whatever it was I probably swallowed whatever it was. I also currently have a fear of HIV so I'm anxious that if this was blood I could be at risk of HIV. could someone please help and just give me some advice, is this a possible route for transmission?

OKAY HERES THE ISSUE:
I have had MULTIPLE duo tests for HIV in the past couple months. My last unprotected sex was November 27, 2015. It was all vaginal sex and i do not know the guys status.
the last test i had was a duo at 15 weeks.
I am tired of letting this anxiety/testing take over my life.
Hopefully someone can address these concerns for me.
1) I have heard about delayed seroconversion. I understand there might be a small chance of this happening beyond 3 months. However, with the DUO test, if there was a delay in seroconversion, would the antigen part of the test pick it up?
I'm assuming delayed seroconversion was more common with 1st/2nd gen tests
2) what is the likelihood that i will test positive at this point? I haven't had sex since, i tested negative at 15 weeks with a DUO and had vaginal, unprotected sex possibly 30 times with someone. i'm assuming its something like: -
0.08 (chance of infection from receptive vaginal) x 30 = 2.4
2.4 x 0.1 (chance of it being positive beyond 3 weeks) = 0.24???
is this correct?

So here it goes.
April 14th, engaged in fingering stripper and kissing. Nothing else, so no oral or sex. I dont remember having any cuts or anything, but it has been a while i guess. 8 weeks later, come down with sore throat and fever for a few days, which went away on its own. No rash or anything. Took one oraquick home test August 16th, which was negative. Have been obsessing over the sickness at 8 weeks. Was that ARS and should i repeat the oraquick? My anxiety went away after the negative test, but i cant get it out of my head. Have also had sinus issues on and off for a month or so.
Any feedback on the risk would be appreciated. Should i retest or can that be my conclusive test? Does oraquick give false negatives? Have not had any sexual contacts since that episode.

I had recently had sexual intercourse with a man of unknown status. I have become very concerned because he had mentioned that he has been with over 60 women and has never been checked; however, he said he never has sex without a condom so I am starting to have doubts. Also, I will be getting tested I just would like to know if this was a risk or how much of a risk this was because different doctor sites are saying it could be a risk.

I had an unprotected exposure, therefore I took an in home Oraquick HIV test, at 24 days and at 30 days after exposure both were negative. I plan on taking a 6 week and 12 week HIV test as well. How likely is it for my test to change to a positive? Has anyone seen a four week HIV test done with Oraquick oral swab change by week 6 or later?

I had encounter with a CSW 4.5 weeks ago. I did not have intercourse with her but we did partake in mutual masterbation. I never touched her; however, she did touch herself and then me. She did put a condom on me but I am worried she had vaginal fluids on her hand before she did it. 3 weeks ago I paid for an encounter with an English female escort. We had vaginal sex for 5 minutes, changed position for the final few minutes (condom still intact at this point) when i realised the condom had broke! Didn't have any further sex after this.
