View 1 RepliesI injured my right wrist in April, and had surgery for it in the beginning of September, I have had two pins put in my wrist to allow the ligaments to heal as well as to align my bone which had dis aligned. I'm supposed to get the pins out in two weeks, and the pain has been absolutely unbearable. The pain is on the left side of the wrist where the pins are supposed to be taken out, located just under pinky. I am told that the pain is normal but I am looking for a second opinion as even slightly I'm bending my arm causes pain in my wrist.
View 1 RepliesI had metal plates put in my wrist about 3 weeks ago and am in a removable cast. I have unbearable pain at one spot on the side of my wrist under my thumb. It's real painful when I take my cast off and even with the cast I'm only comfortable holding my hand pointing up. Gravity seems to hurt my hand and can't even put my arm in a splint because it hurts. 2 questions:
Had anyone experience this to give advice on what you did to get comfortable and how long this pain lasted?
Any advice on the best position to sleep? All positions I've tried put pressure on that side of my wrist. I tried finding a position where my thumb is pointing up, but haven't found a good position that doesn't lock my shoulder. I haven't slept in 2 weeks and really need some sleep.
What causes someone to grind their teeth?
View 2 RepliesI have recently noticed a kind if gritty or grinding sound when turning my neck from a central position to the left and back to central again. There is no sound if turning to the right and I have also noticed while lying down if I cup my neck with my right hand or apply some pressure and twist the noise is somewhat reduced. I have had some trouble with my left ear, going on for 6-7 months now as well. The feeling is also only really present if my surroundings are fairly quiet. Otherwise because there is no real pain it's hard to notice. However it is annoying and a little distressing as I do a very physical sport called Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
View 1 RepliesI've just started taking Citalopram a day ago but already feel the side effects starting. Is it normal for them to start so soon? I feel weirdly sleepy and keep yawning. I also feel a bit shaky and for some reason I can't stop grinding my teeth. Are these symptoms or am I just imagining them because I know that I will be experiencing them soon? I would love for some people to share their experiences with the drug, it's taken me a while to get to the point where I've been comfortable enough to finally talk about my depression and start taking them.
View 8 RepliesMy hearing is usually very sensitive - even the ringing of the phone makes me jump out of my skin. However I seem to be unable to hear lower frequency sounds and have trouble hearing the television or conversations where there is background noise. Anybody else have these problems. My ears are not blocked and seem to be clear of wax. Had heard that it could be related to nerve damage from constant jaw clenching/teeth grinding ?
View 26 RepliesI'm 18 and I'm on my 7th day, all the spots on my face are scabbed. I'd like to know if I accidentally scrape some off during shower, would it become a scar? And what cream should I use if ever they become scars. I'm just so anxious of how they will turn out after I'm healed.
View 2 Repliesim 28 weeks 6 days. I can't go to sleep at night anymore. I toss and turn all night. I can't get comfortable anymore. Any suggestions on what can help?
View 2 RepliesEvery night when I go to bed I toss & turn at least an hour because I can never get comfortable. Once I eventually fall asleep and wake up to go to the restroom I can barely get up... my son has been head down since week 29 and I'm 32 weeks now.. it's like I have a lot of pressure in my pelvic area and in my vagina area to my thighs I feel stiff.. I literally have to hold on to the wall or bed for support so I won't fall... is this because he's head down why I'm experiencing pressure
View 1 RepliesMy legs turn very weird colors and patterns! It's hard to describe. But they turn red and purple. The purple kind makes like a hexagon shape with bright red blotches in the middle. It's happens all the time and its mostly random though I've seen its more common when I'm cold or I'm in the shower. It's embarrassing, I can't wear shorts when it's 90 out! Why do they do this and how can I fix it?

I think I have a wrist strain or sprain in my left wrist. I can hold my hand straight out, fingers stretched out, & when I turn it to the left (sideways, palm side down), it feels like a catch & may be a little popping at times. Is this indicative of a strain or sprain?
