I've recently been diagnosed with Fibro although I have suffered many years now that I have a diagnoses I suddenly feel completely overwhelmed with everything. I have 5 children and my husband is supportive where he can be. I'm really struggling with things I can no longer manage as I have always been so independent the thought of having a carer coming in to do my jobs really upsets me. Does anyone else feel this way??

About a year ago I noticed raised areas, like blisters under skin on the Palms of my hands(red), some pin head size others small nail head size some of the larger ones form a blister well under the skin...painful to touch. The others ones are just itchy, drive you nuts itchy. A doctor checked on Vasculitis and they think it is that...I seem to think there is a bacterial inflammation in my blood. Has anyone heard of this? I take Zyrtec 1 daily and if I miss two days the bumps come on me with a vengeance. A biopsy was done at the site of a bump and prevalent of Neutrophils. I had a corticosteroid shot for another ailment and it worked miracles on my vasculitis. Does anyone know of other diseases that I should check into. and will a full body pet scan reveal the source of this stuff.

I thought I had got this bp thing sussed. Eat well, exercise daily, avoid bad things etc. Saw my GP yesterday for results of blood tests and she threw a spanner in the works. My bloods looked fine and as I suffer from white coat syndrome I took in my "little black book" of my regular readings of which I am quite proud. They show an average of mid-high 120's/mid-high 80's which compared to where I was a year ago is in my book brilliant. My GP said they are TOO LOW as they should be nearer 150/90. She has said this before and I didn't understand it then either! Apparently if you are on medication for high bp your readings should be in the 150/90 range. Has anyone heard of this before?

I have been diagnosed with diabetes (type 2) 2 years ago. Even before, my skin on legs felt so itchy, that I sometimes woke up at night. I even sometimes took a hairbrush and scratch it on legs. I actually wounded myself!!! These wounds do not heal easily and leave scars behind.
What should I use to prevent this itching?

For the last four days my 4 year-old daughter has been experiencing fever. Her lymph nodes on the neck are swollen, and I thought it was a cold or something, so I made her warm and waited to see if it will go away. But it didn’t. Now, on the fifth day, her palms started to swell as well, and she has been scratching them the whole morning. Now, I got really scared. I am trying to reach a doctor but nobody is answering.

I've been dealing with this rash on my butt for a few years now. It only shows up in a sort of red "ring" where the cheeks touch. It's a little itchy (my anus is not itchy or red) but mostly just painful. Sometimes it will go away for about a week but it's generally there in some level of severity.
At the advise of a doctor (I went in about a year ago), I tried using clotrimazole 1% for two weeks at a time. It doesn't seem to do a whole lot of good.
Any ideas? I'm really tired of the near constant rash.

sometimes my palms and the soles of my feet get really hot(a burning sensation and really warm to the touch) red and itchy. I feels really good to put them under water but somehow i feel like this isn't good for it. so I just apply some unscented lotion.
It's been happening for years. and I'm still trying to figure out what triggers it. it happens randomly mostly. but I have noticed that it happens a lot in the morning. like right after I grab something. or something scratches or hits them. really just any pressure being applied. its lasts for about a minute or 2 then goes away.

I had Gout on an ankle in the summer of 2008, and was given Naproxen, and antibiotics. The Gout cleared up, I think, but both ankles and lower legs, have itchy rashes, and skin discoloration. It seems to be spreading up the legs. I have seen my Doctor, but have to wait three months for a specialist appointment. Has anyone else, encountered these circumstances?

I had Guttate Psoriasis thirteen years ago (just the one time, it went away not to return). Fast forward to two years ago I started getting bad pains in various joints, was told I had Burst is, then an impinged nerve and then gout and so on. At the end of January I woke with a severely swollen painful wrist. A visit to our new gp resulted in referral to the hospital and at last a diagnosis. What I want to know is, is it normal for my skin to be itchy all the time ? I don't have Skin Psoriasis. I'm not sleeping well and it's driving me mad, just bought some E45 itch relief cream which I'll put on before bed.

I'm sexually active. Circumcised. Always wear condoms, but occasionally one breaks. Last breakage was about 6 weeks ago. About 8-9 days ago the left side of my foreskin just below the glans itched like crazy. Within a few hours it swelled up and started overlapping the glans (as if I'm uncircumcised). The next day (probably 12-16 hours later), a couple oblong pus-filled blisters about 1/2 CM appeared on the foreskin. Part of the glans turned bright red in the area the foreskin swelled over. I assumed it was HSV 2 as I have HSV1 and the itchy sensation and related pain was similar. I'm already on 1,000 MG Valtrex so I didn't see a need to go to the doctor. The blisters survived a few days and merged into a large oblong pus sack about 1.5 CM. Shortly after it burst, the swollen foreskin turned bright red and began to shed. And there's quite a bit of yellow slime between the foreskin and glans. I wipe it clean 7-10x per day or it gets all over my inner thigh. I can't find any HSV2 pictures that look quite like this or match the blisters. My blisters seemed much larger than the HSV 2 pics. I've seen a few syphilis pics that look somewhat similar, but the description of symptoms doesn't seem to fit well. Plenty of balanitis pics match, but the sources say it's quite rare in circumcised men. Any ideas? I can't get to a doctor for at least a week (work assignment out of town).

I 'm a 16 year old girl and for the past 2 months or so i've been getting these strange bumps on the backs of my legs. at first they started out as no big deal on the back of my right thigh. i can't remember how itchy or painful they were at first, but i occasionally put cooling cortisone gel on them. they started to get a little worse and since it's summer, they would become more visible since i was wearing shorts, so i started to make sure i scrubbed the back of my thigh with body wash and i used an acne scrub on it. i only did this on my right leg, since my left leg seemed to be fine. soon, it spread to my left leg, but still not as bad as the right. and now it occasionally pops up on the front of my thighs. i don't think it's contagious really, because it hasn't spread to anywhere on my body besides my thighs. the bumps are really strange too. they start out itchy, but they don't constantly itch (once they start, they itch like crazy though. like if you itch a bug bite once, you can't stop itching it) then they turn sort of pimple like. they feel like a pimple that you know is going to be big, like there's a lot of pus under the surface of the bump. they get a tiny white head at one point, but never actually pop except a teeny tiny amount of liquid. some bumps are much bigger than others and some leave a scar for a while before finally going away. i haven't found anything that stops them from popping up, but sometimes they'll go away completely for a couple of days, then they always end up coming back. tonight i think it's the worst they've ever been. my legs look disgusting and i'm embarrassed to wear shorts in public. i plan on going to the doctor soon, but every time i've made an appointment before, they're cleared up right before i go. has anyone else had this problem? i cannot find anything that can help it and i've tried a lot. i really don't think it could be bed bugs or flea bites or anything, because it doesn't show up anywhere besides my thighs.

So yesterday I went to see the RA and it appeared as if he cared. He explained that I was severe with FIBRO and that there isn't too much that he could do. He upped my LYRICA to 200 mg (not sure why as it gives me more issues than taking pain away) . He also suggested that I go to a Fibro Clinic in UF , some where in the panhandle of Florida, I can not do it (Finances, Insurance, I don't drive because of LYRICA) . He also gave me a referral for SUBOXONE This is a medicine that they usually give for people who have had problems with pain pills. The RA explained how he just read an article in how this could help me. Has any one else experienced this? Did it work?

Selenium deficiency is considered by some naturopathic doctors the key to Fibromyalgia and CFS.
Some even relate it with animal “Nutritional muscular dystrophy” AKA “White muscle disease”.
Should we go to the vet?
