Dec 7, 2015
I have dry skin and blackheads. But, recently my skin is drier than normal. Some itchy spots come, but some gone while some still here. Can it be rosacea? Or just my hormones change after delivery? Cos now my period is not back yet. Now m having blepharitis. Can I drink alcohol? M so weak now and easy caughting a cool.

I had this benign smooth small-ish bump on my nose for around two years, then around october time last year my nose got very dry and it kind of scraped/came off. It bled a little but it didn't seem to be full of blood, maybe just a clear fluid. It never bothered me up until it came off. I was really happy because i thought it had gone. But then it started to come back. it came back even WORSE! it got very red, formed an uneven texture and still hasn't disappeared and we are in March. I have been to a doctor, who prescribed me acne medication, which just irritated it. Then i visited a dermatologist who told me i could have a shave biopsy. Its not cancerous which is good. But i am very very self concious about it. It is not a raised red , uneven bump on my nose. If you apply pressure it will stay down for 5 seconds until it comes back again.
I have been weighing up whether i want to go ahead and have a shave biopsy, i am worried about it scarring badly. It isn't very big, it is about 4mm/5mm, but it still is very obvious ( especially to me ). How long do shave biopsies take to heal? could it come back after the biopsy? and how long after the shave biopsy would i have to wait before wearing makeup?

I've had the same condition on my left large toe for the past 3+ years now. It's extremely itchy, and bubbles up, and the skin then becomes soft and peels off, exposing the layers beneath. It then hardens again and repeats the process. There's a correlation with hotter weather and it becoming worse.
I've had it for a long time now but it's never spread anywhere else. However the list of creams I've been prescribed don't seem to do the job. I've included 3 very recent photographs. Anyone have any idea if this is an eczema or some type of fungus? The opinion seems to change doctor by doctor. Some say eczema, some say fungus!

I was diagnosed with vulvar vestibulitis, a condition where the nerves in my vulval area are hypersensitive and cause swelling and itching upon the slightest disturbance (i.e. tight clothing, vibration from car rides, etc.). This was about 8 months ago, and my OBGYN prescribed me amitriptyline (25 mg)/ night and lexapro (10 mg)/day to calm these nerves over time. Can I have a drink or 2 with this condition? I really want to but am afraid that it will make my vestibulitis worse. Anyone else out there with vestibulitis who is facing or has faced this problem?

After experiencing some palpitations and breathlessness over the past week or so I went to see my GP. I had an ECG, was sent to A&E, admitted to hospital for further tests and diagnosed with AF. My heart rate was not particular fast.
I'm still in AF and have been given Bisoprolol to control my heart rate. I've had problems with palpitations and chest achiness for the past 2 years and have had numerous ECGs which have always been normal so this is a bit of a shock. I'm a bit confused as to what happens now really. I have got an apt with a consultant coming up, but does this mean my life style will have to change? How can I get back to normal heart rhythm? Can I still drink alcohol? I don’t drink a lot but enjoy a couple of glasses at the weekends and have some birthday parties coming up. Also, what about exercise? A month ago I was training for a charity cycle ride and was riding 20-25 miles a time. Where does this leave me? Since taking the Bisoprolol I have been getting headaches – will they subside in time?

My face is really itchy right around the edge of my face from under my ears down to my chin. Usually the right side but sometimes the left as well. It comes on randomly and usually lasts hours to days. It has been happening for a few months now and it gets so bad that I am scratching it like mad without realising it and leaving angry red marks all down the side of my face! Do you have any ideas what it might be?

My face is dry, red, flaky, itchy, and peeling but only on the right side. I work in a warehouse and was very sweaty this past week so I wiped my face off with a towel during the day, possibly further irritating and drying out my face. I also have purple pimple like bumps on my face but again, only on the right side.

I do not drink very often so I don't know if it's just because my body isn't used to to it but whenever I do, I only need a very small amount for these symptoms to show. Basically the corner of my eyes (either side of my nose) get really itchy and I also start sneezing one or two times a minute for maybe half an hour or so and also I get what feels like a grain of rice in my throat that feels like it's rising up and feels a bit sharp whenever I swallow.

I've been diagnosed with rosacea.
My cheeks sometimes get very red and hot.
Didn't like the cream they gave me. I've recently been using caneston cream
Which seems to be helping. (At moment) I rub a little on my cheeks each day.
It's just my whole face complexion, it's blotchy and horrible.
Find myself having to wear foundation. I'm not a person that wears make up everyday.
Is there anything else that may help out there? I

I have rosacea and now have been told I have ocular rosacea. Also have allergies particularly affecting my eyes. Anyone else have this? Use cream on face but eyes are bothersome. Not sure what drops to use . My Dr has prescribed Pataday but they are not covered by insurance so would like to try otc drops if I can find ones that help.

I was diagnosed with ocular rosacea and rosacea type 1 last week and have just started antibiotics. I've never had either before. I have no idea how long it's going to take to improve but I wondered if someone who is further along the track could tell me. Does the ocular difficulty come in bursts and go, or is it persistent until it goes. Also, if it goes do you wear eye makeup (girls?)or are those days over for me?
