View 1 RepliesHas anyone had laser teeth whitening done. I am not talking about the gum shield things, I am talking about a gel and light system being done in a beauty salon. It appeals to me due to it not being done in the dentist ( which I hate) and the price is about half what the dentist will charge. I spoke to someone and they said the result after 45 minutes was fantastic and the 24 hours later was even better.
So just checking if anyone has any experience of laser teeth whitening.
How do you all maintain the whiteness of your teeth? Im fed up of using stripes and home remedies. It will show effect only for few days, then it is old self. Ive spent a lot of money for teeth whitening products so one of my friends suggested me to go for teeth whitening treatment from Centenary Dental Clinic in Toronto. I just want to know if there will be any side effects for teeth enamel after whitening them? What are the foods that I should avoid after whitening my teeth? I would also like to know the side effects of teeth whitening.
View 1 RepliesI have noticed lately that my teeth are very yellow. This is down to the orange juice that I drink. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on teeth whitening......the best products around or are you better booking an appointment with your dentist if they provide the service?

View 2 RepliesI am a young adult and I have huge problems with my teeth now after several years of not having medical coverage and extreme fear of dentists. pretty much all my molars are gone and need to be extracted, but on top of that, I may not even be able to get implants or partials because I have an even bigger issue with my bite.I went to a prosthodontist who told me that there isn't enough space between the top and bottom teeth to put anything there like an implant or even dentures and this is absolutely terrifying. He basically told me that he couldn't help me because he "limits his practice to crowns and bridges" so he told me to go back to my general dentist to ask what they can do with my bite. In the end of the day I didn't get anything out of that visit besides horrific news so my question right now is, can it be possible that I can't even get partials because of my bite? what exactly can be done about this? at the moment I have severe anxiety and fear so I can't sleep or even think because of the news that I got and I'm desperate for some good news. Can anyone please help me understand how I can be treated so i could AT LEAST get dentures if not implants?
View 4 Replies4-5 days now i been having this annoying pain in my bottom 2 front teeth. I do not know what to do. I brushed, i've taken advil for the pain and it still is not going away. I been told by family its because i rub my tongue against them all the time. Could that be it? Is it something else more serious? Should i go to the dentist? I just want answers on what this is and want it to go away because it is driving me insane.
View 3 RepliesHow can I remove the gaps in my teeth without the use of expensive braces. If there's no possible way then where can I find good but cheap braces. I am tired of not being able to smile in front of my friends and girls because it's just embarrassing.
View 5 RepliesMy Lower few teeth are black from inside. I used to smoke a lot. what could be the possible reason for that?
View 2 RepliesI have pretty severe acid reflux that affects my teeth badly.. 7 months ago one of my back teeth crumbled leaving about a quarter behind. My dentist reconstructed the tooth out of white filling.. I've only had it in for 6 months and it's turning a brown colour and it absolutely stinks? I know it's the filling as I can smell it if I run my finger across it.. I'm also getting pain under the tooth.. Not extreme but a really annoying dull ache.
View 1 Repliesbreath smells phlegmy..... dentist said not teeth or gums
View 1 RepliesI'm in a very low place at the moment because of ear and gum and tooth pain. Im ashamed of my teeth because they are stained browny/black and plaque round the bottom of them, also my teeth are overcrowded. I faced my phobia a couple of years ago and had a few sessions with the hygienist. Anyway they are no really bad again and i'm in agony.feeling down.not sleeping and drinking all day to numb the pain but not working also very panicky and anxious and not been at work.
View 3 Repliesi still have 2 upper wisdom teeth that hasnt been removed, however, behind my right upper wisdom tooth there seems to be a bony long lump within my gums, it seems to attached to my skull, and i dont have any idea what it was, my other side does not have the same knot/lump
View 1 RepliesI had a lower molar extracted 9 days ago & was wondering if spicy foods can dissolve the blood clot & result in dry socket? I obsessively check the extraction site & the clot is still there (even though it doesn't look as dark but maybe that's my paranoia) & if you do get dry socket does the pain happen right away or take a day or 2 before the pain starts? I ate BBQ chicken that was a little spicy & was worried I might dissolve the clot. I rinsed with salt water immediately after but have been getting occasional pings of pain since about day 5 but just discomfort & a few times the discomfort went to my ear but it didn't last long. How long does it take till the hole completely closes up? HELP! I'm so afraid the clot will dissolve during the night & it's the weekend! I've read that if you don't get dry socket by day 4 or 5 you're in the clear unless you poke @ the extraction site or something causes trauma to it is this true?
View 6 RepliesIt has been 5 days since I got two of my upper wisdom teeth extracted. The right extraction does not bother me and feels like it is almost back to normal. The left side is in pain. The pain has gotten worse and is located on the two teeth closest to where the wisdom tooth was extracted. I also have pain in my ear, eye and a sore throat. I saw the dentist yesterday and she did an xray and examined the sockets and ruled out dry socket. She said the socket is healing fine. The pain in the two teeth she said is coming from a root canal on my bottom tooth (same side). Apparently, the pain is shooting from the root canal to the two top teeth. I am confused. Is this just a coincidence that the teeth that requires a root canal is causing pain to my upper teeth near the extraction? The tooth that needs the root canal is not painful. She has given me antibiotics and pain meds, however, I have not seen any improvements. The two teeth that are in pain do not have cavities. Has anyone experienced this before?
View 1 RepliesI am hoping to get as much information about an issue I start experiencing this week. I woke up Monday and noticed my bottom front teeth are now hitting the back side of my top front teeth, when I close my mouth fully (teeth clenched or chewing). Prior to this I could clench my teeth without issue and this unusual touching did not occur. That said, this is freaking me out.
I have an appointment with a Dentist next week but want to educate myself as much as humanly possible. I have spent considerable time researching this but am getting tired of the same links appearing in my searches. While not getting all the answer I seek.
I have read here that this is the first sign of TMJ. I have gone through listing of the symptoms and I quite literally have next to none. I have no headaches, no migraines, no tight or painful jaw, no loss in range of motion, no jaw popping when eating or opening and closing mouth (I can make it pop if I move my jaw from side to side. I have been able to do this since I was a kid though). I also don't grind my teeth, though I have always had a habit of clenching a few times throughout the day.
I have had tinnitus for a couple years now due to loud music, so I guess this is the only listed symptom I have. But like I said, the tinnitus has been caused by hearing damage and been around for some time.
Has anyone here experienced what I am currently?
If so, what was the treatment?
How did you fix this?
Is this TMJ?
Are there any self administered treatments I could start trying?
I would like to know if taking birth control pill and whitening pills is safe.. or make the bcp less effective.
View 1 RepliesDiagnosed by dentist yesterday as abscess. Put on antibiotics. Given choice...root canal treatment @ £850 (Cannot afford) or extraction. Is this really necessary...will the antibiotics not clear up problem.
View 1 RepliesI have been suffering from some internal Hemorrhoids that prolapse after a bowel movement for almost a decade. After they prolapse i gently insert them back into where they belong and it has been ok and hasn't affected my life much.
However the past a few days ago after making a bowl movement i noticed when they prolapsed they were very inflamed and large and painful, i couldn't put them back inside me. I waited until the next morning but unfortunately the couldn't go in so i had to go to a hospital. The doctors managed to insert them back in when they applied some gel but it was painful and not easy.
Then 2 days after same problem but they kept on bleeding, had to go back to the Hospital and same thing.
I hope they get better more manageable soon but i doubt it.
Anyway i really want to avoid the traditional Hemorrhoid surgery as i have read the horror stories on here about being in pain for 4-8 weeks, complications and also i can't afford to take so much time off work.
Hence why i am considering the HAL/RAR Procedure, from my research it is less painful and hypothetically you can be off work for only 48 hours.
has anyone experienced this procedure? What was the pain like?
I had THD (sometimes known as HALO) procedure 9 days ago, the last couple of days it feels like i have external haemorrhoids back, my husband says they look like them, large and inflamed!... I'm so upset and frustrated, had been feeling ok as was recovering quite well. Very uncomfortable and painful after bms but i was expecting this and had prepared for it mentally and physically. I've not had to strain when going to toilet, in fact going regularly since 2nd day, so no constipation. I've also had a stitch come out today after bm (surgeon said all my stitches were internally) Has anyone else had any similar experiences??...
