View 7 RepliesI know with Peri and menopause sugar isn't good...neck it's not good in general for anyone and you always hear watch your caffeine (because of hormones) So, which is better...dark chocolate or milk chocolate if you had to choose one. I know a lot of women have fibrocystic breasts so I'm asking this question to try and get a better understanding just how much chocolate affects the breasts and hormones if really at all. What do you think?
View 30 RepliesI have been advised that dark chocolate can be used to lower hypertension but I am unsure as to how much to take every day, so would be grateful for any advice, thanks. My BP is borderline and I exercise daily and have a healthy diet but am 21lbs overweight which is driving up my BP. I am looking for ways to control it, as well as losing weight, and thought this might be one avenue to explore.
View 22 RepliesBasically I am 25 years old and as i've grown up I've noticed more and more that I was getting stomach cramps and bloating more and more often. It is very sporadic and I couldn't really say exactly what was causing it but I just thought it was normal. This was until the last 12 months when I started to think a bit more about it. I do a lot of exercise and play a lot of football. I was finding that I would get some form of cramp during a football game. Usually quite mild but sometimes worse. I also like to run and when training for a half marathon found that after a certain distance I would get pains. Almost every time after about 30-40 minutes running. It would normally be worse when running in the evenings. I started thinking about it and tried taking several things out of my diet. I am 95% certain I have a lactose intolerance as since cutting that out around 6 months ago I have seen an improvement. But I would still get pains.
This all resulted in me going Gluten Free and I finally experienced what it feels like to have a normal stomach. I was relaxed and could do whatever I wanted without any fear. So I decided for my own health I should get tested for celiacs disease and after 7 weeks of eating gluten again had the blood tests. Today I had the results and they have come back negative. I feel so deflated and just angry. What do I do now? I just feel like going back to Gluten Free and living like that self diagnosed. The weird thing I find with my disorder is it seems to be worse when i'm up and about. If me and my fiancee have gone out around town and have lunch it is often worse when walking around afterwards. I don't always get blinding pains either. It is often just severe constipation or stomach cramps just making me feel uncomfortable.
Really disheartening now and just want to know but can't carry on for much longer and really don't want to keep eating Gluten when I know I feel good when I don't. Any advise?
my period hasn't been regular but I've been on the depo shot for about 3 years (I'm not sure if theres correlation). I won't have any blood but after sex there is a little bit of blood, we took a break for a while and there wasn't any spotting or anything but I had sex last night and today there was quite a bit of blood.
it was stretchy, had no odor, but had dark (black even) stringy pieces in it. I'm not sure if I'm feeling any serious pain in my ovaries but I'm really worried about what it could be. The blood is usually stretchy but has never had the stringy black pieces.
I just recently had sex a few weeks ago. And lately I haven't been feeling right and my vagina liquids has changed into this yellow puss. What could this mean?
View 1 RepliesI have had a dark brown odor free discharge everyday for a 2 months now , and to embarrassed to go to my doctor , well anyways once a week i will wipe and see blood with the discharge and sometimes blood clots ,the bleeding once a week just started 3 weeks ago , i also cramp really bad . what is this?
View 1 RepliesI've been having MS symptoms for nine months. I've seen three doctors and no one could find anything so I asked to see a neuro which I will do later this month.
I have mirror image (symmetrical) numbness on my hands and feet every day. I have patches that feel tingly that come and go on various spots on my left side. I often have shaky legs and fingers and feel unsteady.
I have shooting pains in my left arm about once or twice a month and my arms get weak when carrying 2 pounds or greater.
I am a nervous flyer and was prescribed xanax for a cross country flight. Xanax dramatically decreased my numbness and my shaky limbs felt fine.
Would xanax take away my symptoms if I in fact have MS? I also am an avid runner and have been able to keep running through this entire 9 month ordeal. No issues..no fatigue..no leg exhaustion. Would this be possible?
Do either of these raise blood sugar, diet coke and diet ginger beer sometimes I like a rum with the diet ginger beer (no alcohol in the ginger beer)
View 1 RepliesI have a lot of problems with acne. They seem to be impossible to get rid of, no matter what I do. I eat a lot of stuff with sugar, like candy bars , chocolate cakes and a lot of soda. Could this be the reason for my acne problem or would my acne go away if I stop eating this c**p. What do you think? Im really tired of this acne problem, its really affecting me.

View 8 RepliesIt's okay for the baby, right? I bought some this morning. I know regular milk is fine, but chocolate is "junk." I also bought some orange juice & water, so I think I should be fine.
View 2 RepliesI am 26 years old with no children yet..Two year ago i had an operation and my bile was removed because i had stones in the bile.Last year i had an operation and removed two chocolate cyst with laparoscopy, one on right ovary 4.5 cm and one on the left ovary 8cm.After the operation i had 3 injections ,one every month named arvekap, they stop the blood for three months. After for six months i was taking pills named qlaira, birth control pills. In December i went for check -up and i was cleared. In April when i went for check -up we found out with ultrasound that i had again two chocolate cyst one 8cm in right ovary and one 4cm in left ovary.some doctors told me that is better to make laparoscopy and others laparotomy(Iopen surgey) and i need a surgery quickly because the cyst might broke.some other doctors told me that i have to make injections to stop my period or to take pills made visane and the cyst may get smaller or dissapear and after to do surgey.what you suggest that is the better treatment to do and if i need to do a surgery now or later?if i don't do surgery now there isn't a risk that cysts might broke?
