I was started on Lutera in July 2015 and since then, I've been continuously spotting. In between the spotting I'll bleed slightly heavy for an hour during the day for about 4-5 days. Then I'll go back to spotting. I've called my doctor about the bleeding in September, about how it's been continuous and she said its my body regulating itself. Has anyone else had a similar experience when they started birth control?

I have just started Cerazette yesterday and I am wondering how reliable it is. I have a long term partner and I am wondering if we need to use protection when having sex or can I trust this method of contraception?

I started taking the pill about a month ago, specifically Cerazette which is the progestogen based pill. It was fine until I got my first period whilst on the pill, since then I've bled consistently and heavily for 3 weeks which is causing me a great deal of discomfort. I went to my local clinic yesterday and switched to the combined pill which I'm told is good at regulating periods and my doctor tells me that I should come off my period within a week, but I am worried that it will continue for longer than that. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the chances are of this problem persisting for longer than said week and if there are any forms of contraception other than condoms which would eliminate this problem for me. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm 14, and due to really heavy periods and being anemic I was put on Nacrez (I think it's exactly the same drug as Cerazette just unbranded.) Anyway, when I was on it I started to feel really really depressed and so the doctors put me on antidepressants. That helped a bit, but confused as to why I had been feeling depressed I googled cerazette depression, and I was so surprised to find that literally hundreds and hundreds of people had been feeling sad, moody and depressed like myself. And so, after two months i made the decision to come off them. That was the day before yesterday. But the thing is, since coming off them I have been feeling even worse. So, so bloated, stomach cramps, and even more depressed?? How long should it take before these horrible symptoms go?

I'm back on Cerazette after being changed to Cerelle which didn't agree with me, however I've noticed over the last couple of months my anxiety is worse, I'm very up and down , sore chest all the time, emotional, and basically want to cry some days for no reason as in feeling really hormonal. I've become over worried, panicky, and I'm worried Cerazette is making my anxiety worse. however if I come off it I have the most horrendous periods when I go dizzy and everything ... Really fed up as can't take the combined pill and I don't want periods either

I stopped taking Cerazette after approx 8 years of taking it. I didn't really have much break through bleeding and no periods whilst taking it maybe a handful of times over the 8 years.
My last pill was last Monday and by the Saturday I started bleeding (but it was more like the breakthrough - brownish), only enough to use a panty liner rather than a pad or tampon. We are wanting to start a family as I'm 31 and have no children yet but I am wondering whether this is my first period or not? I had period pains with it which I've not had before.

I was wondering if anybody could help or possibly share their experiences? I stopped taking Cerelle on the 1st July 2014 due to suffering from migraines, since coming off it I haven't been using any contraception on order by my GP due to suffering from migraines. I was wondering how long it took other people's periods to come back? I have had spotting now and again but nothing else, it will have been 9 weeks tomorrow since I stopped taking it and my GP told me they would return to normal quite quickly.

I've been on Cerazette (mini - pill) for 2 years and since I started my periods stopped which was great and what my doctor told me would probably happen. However 3 months ago my periods have seem to have come back the same time each month as if I'm not on the pill anymore. The only thing that I can think of that's caused this is that i've change the time i'm taking my pill from about 9am to 6pm could this be why? I thought after my first period I might just need to settle back but maybe not!
Just wondered if anyone can help me is this normal? I've read that irregular bleeding can occur but this seems to be pretty regularly, it's really annoying!
I'm thinking of changing to the implant will this be a better option? or as it's the same kind of hormone will my periods still carry on?

A family member was taken to A&E two weeks before Christmas with severe abdominal and back pain and scans revealed that the previously diagnosed aortic aneurysm (measuring 5 cm) was now bleeding and surgery was not an option due to other health conditions and was given just weeks to live. All now seems to be fine with no pain - is it possible that this bleeding has now stopped? Has anybody else had a similar experience?

I'm on this pill and lately I've found I'm bleeding everyday. Not much but there is still bleeding. When I was put on this pill I was told there could be spotting but it's almost everyday. Also I've found that when I do stop bleeding and have sex the bleeding starts again. Is this normal on this pill? Or should I be really concerned about this?

I had the mirena coil removed at the beginning of January this year due to bad side effects and I decided to go straight back on Cerazette which previously worked really well for me. However, whether I should have or not, I've stopped taking it. I found that it was causing me to get upset over the smallest of things and just generally feel really down quite often. Has anyone else experienced this?
I was also bleeding quite heavily every other week and I have just been bleeding constantly for nearly 3 weeks so that's another reason why I've stopped. I was also experiencing quite a few of the common side effects.
So has anyone else experienced low mood/mood changes on Cerazette before? As I don't know what to do if it doesn't resolve.

I started taking this when I was 14 and had a regular bleed that began on the same day. However I stopped taking it at the beginning of the year. I then carried on at the start of the month for a new partner. I haven't been taking it at the same time everyday due to being out, its ranged from 8pm-12am. We have only had sex without a condom a few times whilst I've been on the pill but im now 3 days into my 7 day break and I have not bled yet. Could I be pregnant? And how do I approach my partner?

I got the Mirena IUD inserted 16 days ago during the last couple days of my placebo pills from Ortho Tri Cyclen. I have been spotting ever since and it's taken a major toll on my sex life and it's driving me crazy. I talked to my doctor about it a few days ago and she said that this is normal but that i can try taking the pill again in a month or so if it doesn't go away. Then three days ago I just got so fed up with spotting that I started a pack of my birth control just to see if that helps anything. Now the spotting is less but I'm wondering if anyone has any positive experience with NOT bleeding for 2 months straight? Everything I read online is just a Mirena horror story but I need some positive experience stories or advice. I understand this is "normal" but it still sucks.

I had an endometrial ablation back in July and bled for over 3 months the consultant put me on ESMYA to stop this. I stopped bleeding after 2 wks of starting the tablets which was mid October however over a week ago I started bleeding again. I am not sure whether it is a normal lighter period or whether I am going to go back to constantly bleeding again. Is anyone else on ESMYA and having similar symptoms?
