Contraception :: How Long To Wait Periods After Stopping Cerazette
Jan 16, 2016
I stopped taking Cerazette after approx 8 years of taking it. I didn't really have much break through bleeding and no periods whilst taking it maybe a handful of times over the 8 years.
My last pill was last Monday and by the Saturday I started bleeding (but it was more like the breakthrough - brownish), only enough to use a panty liner rather than a pad or tampon. We are wanting to start a family as I'm 31 and have no children yet but I am wondering whether this is my first period or not? I had period pains with it which I've not had before.

I was on Cerazette for 13 months and had a regular period every month for the whole time. I have now stopped taking it (4-5 weeks) can this affect my periods as I am now late.

I was wondering if anybody could help or possibly share their experiences? I stopped taking Cerelle on the 1st July 2014 due to suffering from migraines, since coming off it I haven't been using any contraception on order by my GP due to suffering from migraines. I was wondering how long it took other people's periods to come back? I have had spotting now and again but nothing else, it will have been 9 weeks tomorrow since I stopped taking it and my GP told me they would return to normal quite quickly.

I've been on Cerazette (mini - pill) for 2 years and since I started my periods stopped which was great and what my doctor told me would probably happen. However 3 months ago my periods have seem to have come back the same time each month as if I'm not on the pill anymore. The only thing that I can think of that's caused this is that i've change the time i'm taking my pill from about 9am to 6pm could this be why? I thought after my first period I might just need to settle back but maybe not!
Just wondered if anyone can help me is this normal? I've read that irregular bleeding can occur but this seems to be pretty regularly, it's really annoying!
I'm thinking of changing to the implant will this be a better option? or as it's the same kind of hormone will my periods still carry on?

I finished taking cerazette last Sunday due to various reasons. I had a couple of days of v. Light spotting/brown discharge. Then on Wednesday started bleeding properly, just.a lot lighter than before. This is still going on so 5 days later. Before the pill they usually lasted 4/5 days and they were gone.
It doesn't seem to show any signs of stopping. Is this normal? How long do I give it before another trip to the GP?

I was previously on the Cerazette pill in November, I took it for approx 6 weeks- However it wasn't for me. So I stopped on the 18th of December, and my period began straight away (Up until then it was pretty much just 6 weeks of solid bleeding! Barely any pain) I then got one again around the 25th of January. However the past 2ish weeks I have been having brown discharge and the past few days it has been BLACK with a little back pain and traces of fresh blood as well. I do have a partner and we had unprotected sex however he did not finish (I know, not a smart move) but the bleeding started a day later.

I have just started Cerazette yesterday and I am wondering how reliable it is. I have a long term partner and I am wondering if we need to use protection when having sex or can I trust this method of contraception?

I started taking the pill about a month ago, specifically Cerazette which is the progestogen based pill. It was fine until I got my first period whilst on the pill, since then I've bled consistently and heavily for 3 weeks which is causing me a great deal of discomfort. I went to my local clinic yesterday and switched to the combined pill which I'm told is good at regulating periods and my doctor tells me that I should come off my period within a week, but I am worried that it will continue for longer than that. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the chances are of this problem persisting for longer than said week and if there are any forms of contraception other than condoms which would eliminate this problem for me. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm 14, and due to really heavy periods and being anemic I was put on Nacrez (I think it's exactly the same drug as Cerazette just unbranded.) Anyway, when I was on it I started to feel really really depressed and so the doctors put me on antidepressants. That helped a bit, but confused as to why I had been feeling depressed I googled cerazette depression, and I was so surprised to find that literally hundreds and hundreds of people had been feeling sad, moody and depressed like myself. And so, after two months i made the decision to come off them. That was the day before yesterday. But the thing is, since coming off them I have been feeling even worse. So, so bloated, stomach cramps, and even more depressed?? How long should it take before these horrible symptoms go?

I'm back on Cerazette after being changed to Cerelle which didn't agree with me, however I've noticed over the last couple of months my anxiety is worse, I'm very up and down , sore chest all the time, emotional, and basically want to cry some days for no reason as in feeling really hormonal. I've become over worried, panicky, and I'm worried Cerazette is making my anxiety worse. however if I come off it I have the most horrendous periods when I go dizzy and everything ... Really fed up as can't take the combined pill and I don't want periods either

I'm 38 weeks 2 days. I got checked today for dilation. I was 3.5 cm open. Well I've also been nonstop bloody mucus since yesterday. Doctor told me he should see me tonight or tomorrow because I am contracting. However I don't know how to count them. I feel some are longer and some are shorter so I lose track. However the pain has increased. He told to go in if they are 5 minutes apart, or bleeding like a period, or water breaking. The pain is increasing. Should I go??

i had my vas in Jan of this year and have been in pain since week 2. The pain in my balls has subsided but where I was cut is still sore on both sides. The main pain is in my groin high where the hip meets. I can still do most things, sex is not painful so don't think it is congestion. After four months of this though my anxiety levels are rising. Do I wait longer or pull the trinket now and opt for a redo? Does a redo help if not due to congestion? I am assuming I have scar tissue causing referred pain

I tested positive for gonorrhea today and my doctor gave me some antibiotics which I took as soon as I got home. My doctor told me that I shouldn't have unprotected sex for 7 days, however I was going to see my boyfriend in 8 days and I planned on having sex with him. Would it be safe to have sex with him without giving him gonorrhea if we used a condom? I figured it would be okay since it's past 7 days, but I just want to make sure.

So I was circumcised 3 month ago... Let's not get into "why I did it".
I visited my doctor about a month ago and he said that everything is fine and Im gonna be okay.
But nothing is okay! He said that the swelling will go away in a month or two, but its been three month and a few days since I took my bandage off, and it is still swollen.. Not like it was two month ago but in this last month, NOTHING has changed.
On top of this problem I have this "other" problem. I dont know how to explain it properly but I didn't think that thats how my penis is going to look. And by that I mean that the skin is like "attached" to the glans (Hope I said it right).
I had stitches and the doctor said they will disappear by themselves and he was right but the skin is not "loose" I can't pull it to much backwards.
If a picture is needed I can look for something on the internet to give a better explaination...
So my questions are:
1. I haven't asked my doctor about masturbating but I do it anyway since it's not painful... Can I masturbate or is it a bad idea?
Maybe if I stop, the swollenness will go away?
2. I wanna start haveing sex with my girlfriend but Im afraid something will go wrong since my skin is "attached" to whatever I wrote
3. Any tips? Articles? Anything that can make me feel better about my situation?
