I'm a bit under the weather and it feels like I'm coming down with the flu. Would it be a good idea to get a massage?

View 2 RepliesAfter visiting my GP today, and the BP being 200/120 he has started me on ramipril 5mg, simvastatin 40 mg and bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg, however i have just read that its not a good idea to have alcohol with the ramipril, and its christmas eve tomorrow.
View 3 Repliesis it a good idea to get induced if youre over your due date ? Or just keep going until your water breaks ?
View 4 RepliesI have been on xanax for about 7 years (although at a very small dose, no more than 1 mg of xanax a day to help sleep or deal with tinnitus. I want to get off the stuff is cold turkey a bad idea ?
View 14 RepliesI was diagnosed with bell's palsy 9 days ago and just coming to end of 10 days 60mg prednisolone.
my face has had no improvement, i dont think its got worst but possibly feel like my mouth especially is kind of getting more used to going the wrong way.... perhaps muscles are tightening from no use.
I hear mixed messages about how much and when you can start exercising face.
im concerned mostly about mouth where there is is the worst paralysis. barely any movement bottom left. eating an apple is impossible unless sliced up!
i have had no pain really throughout. i wish i did have pain as maybe it would feel like it is alive and repairing!
so how much can i do? one thing i read was to massage and pull over the 'good side"
I'm considering acupuncture next week too! always been a sceptic of this but desperate to see something!
I have been smoking cannabis for the past 35 years. I have spent most of that time resisting the idea that cannabis is addictive, even though I have tried giving up and cutting down many many times, always without success. I have found it much easier to resist tobacco addiction - and wouldn't smoke tobacco at all if it wasn't for needing it to roll a joint. I am more addicted to cannabis than any of my friends, even though many of them have also smoked cannabis, some for many years. Most drug addiction services are aimed at people with heroin, crack cocaine or alcohol addictions and, by comparison, cannabis addiction is seen as `soft' and not-terribly-problematic. But neither do NHS smoking cessation services include cannabis cessation. So it is not easy to access support for tackling this addiction. My ideal outcome would be for me to be able to smoke cannabis in a controlled way, on an occasional basis. But my reluctance to give up this ideal has meant that I have, in fact, remained addicted to regular, heavy use. Increasingly, I have been able to give up for a month at a time, but I am always sucked back in, especially in response to stress at work. So I have reluctantly come to recognise that there is only one answer - giving it up for the rest of my life. I have found that acupuncture (as practiced by SMART UK - normally used for the treatment of heroin addiction) has recently helped me to give up for weeks at a time. And I am going to go back for another boost in my slow journey towards saying good-bye forever to what has been a very good friend. But one with whom I have developed a very unhealthy obsession and dependence. I believe that Dr. Susan Blackmore has recently said that cannabis use has enabled her to think more creatively and, as an academic myself, I have also found that my thinking is better synthesised and I am able to see solutions to academic problems more easily when my brain has absorbed a dose of
cannabis. If cannabis wasn't such a mentally stimulating experience (hence all the chatting and laughing amongst a group of stoned friends), it would be so EASY to give up!
I went out last night to a bar. I got a massage from one of the prostitutes in the bar. I had my t-shirt on and massaged my back and neck. After that she went to sit down opposite me and I than noticed a cut with dry blood on her right ring finger. I am a bit concerned that she might have infected me if she had hiv as the massage was hard and rough. My skin was a bit irritated this morning due to the massage. I have got a few pimples in the neck and am really worried that I might of gotten hiv through this message. I checked the t-shirt this morning and could not see any blood stains on it. Do I need testing for this incident and should I be worried? Thanks in advance!!
View 1 RepliesI had a massage with a lady. I know I had a cut on my penis. Please can you confirm the risk if the lady had a cut or the oil go into the penis
View 4 RepliesI lived in indonesia.. last week i was exposed to one kiss from the commercial massage lady to my head of penis. is it considered oral sex? however, two days later, i am shocked there is redness in my head of penis, went to my GP and dermatologists, they said is ok . dermatologists take sample and Gp said it is only because of maybe her nail. I was so scared because if it is because her nail , then it is possible at the time my penis is bleeding. How much is my risk from her one kiss to my penis while it is bleeding? Thank you so much for the answer. i feel like killing myself as i have no one to talk to
View 11 RepliesI went for a massage at a Mumbai based Massage parlour. She gave me a very non sexual massage except that every now and then kept massaging the outside of my anus as well. Its been two days and I have a swollen lymph node on my perineum and tenderness on both my lower buttocks. The masseuse was fully clothed and I didn't touch her genitals or the other way round except the anal massage as mentioned above. Please advise. Also its v painful and I find difficulty in sitting.
View 1 RepliesI went to have a massage yesterday. The prostitute sucked my nipple and rub my penis with her nipples.I'm worry about she bite my nipples and my glans contact the secretions from her nipples.I know I have a little OCD
View 3 RepliesI just had a massage with a girl that I don't know about her status, but she first a little of coconut oil in penis, just a little, then she put on a condom and sucked, while sucking, I felt a little of her teeth, after I finished I was so scared of contracting job via receiving oral, because maybe I have an untreated sti that I don't know off, does having untreated sti increases the hiv risk via receiving oral with no lesions or sore.
View 2 RepliesAbout 9 weeks ago I went to a massage parlour and received oral sex.
Maybe about 1 minute without a condom. She then put the condom on and started. I showered and went home. 2 days later I woke up to painful pinching Feelings in my penis. The head of my penis looked bright red and kind of flakey. No visible sores. I had the usual std tests about a week later. All negative. The pinching lasted for about 5-6 weeks. I went for another round of std tests. All negative. My doctor gave me an anti fungal creams but it just seemed to irritate it..I ended up taking fluconazole antifungal pill. Maybe it helped? I've been going through extreme anxiety since this encounter.
I took the igg herpes blood test at 8 weeks. Negative. Going to my doctor tomorrow to see the numbers.
4 weeks back I made a mistake and engaged in a massage from a female masseur. She gave me unprotected oral for 1 minute followed by a handjob.
Do you think there is a possibility that HIV can enter my body through the tip of the penis. 1 week after the incident I started having itchy bumps on my body which disappear after taking antihistamines and then comes back again.
What are the risks of getting HIV from this exposure ?
I'm a male aged 40. Recently I have visited an independent masseur and she offered a what is called 'tantric lingam massage' . During the course of this massage, she starting rubbing my penis pulling my foreskin down further than what I have normally done on my own during masturbation, however I asked her to stop as it was getting quite painful..
That night itself, I felt an itch at the edge of my foreskin and the next day..it begin to swell...I applied some antiseptic cream on it but it did not go down..2 days later the swelling continued...it hurts now even when i'm wearing my boxers...
what does this mean? is it possible that I have STD?
I am a 31 year old male. I am suffering from ED from the last 10 years. I am currently using cialis 5mg for daily use. I used to get aroused normally while being sexually stimulated. But now i dont always get erection naturally. I have to massage the penis to get an erection, while i dont get any erection when performing foreplay with my partner. The erection even under medication is not hard enough to perform a satisfactory intercourse. I frequently urinate atleast 10 to 15 times a day, sometimes even more. I have been diagnosed with Diabetes insipidus, Have a history of known diabtetis in my parents medical report. Please kindly suggest what should i do.
View 2 RepliesGot a handjob at asian massage parlor week ago. Concerned specifically about hiv as well as other stds.
My worries lie on possibility of masseuse having a cut on her hand, vaginal fluids or semen from a past customer coming into contact/crossing with my urethra as she performed the handjob. My confusion is that i read that urethra is one of the modes of transmission but when this question has been asked on dr. And hiv forums they say no risk, no need for testing and very low risk of stds. What is the difference between unprotected vaginal/anal and hanjob where the urethra is concerned or any small cuts, nicks, etc. On either participant? Thank you so much for you help in this matter as i eagerly await your expertise. Again specifically if fresh blood from a cut on hand made direct contact with the urethra (top of penis) is there a risk and why? Or why not?
I'm new to this and was wondering if this is normal or if I should go see a doctor so if anyone can help with my question I would really appreciate it! I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy on Friday, Oct. 17th (7 days ago). They prescribed prednisone and I'm on my 7th day in with it. I've had the headaches and the occasional stabbing pain behind my ear which most has gone away now, BUT as of yesterday, my right side of the face which is the side that's affected, hurts like crazy when I touch it or massage it. Is this normal to feel this way a few days after your diagnosed? Has anyone else experienced this?
View 1 RepliesI'm 37 weeks and have been putting palmers lotion on my tummy since I found out I was pregnant. It wasn't till about 28 weeks I started to get stretch marks and now they're so awful. My tummy looks like a train wreck. I'm still continuing with the lotion although it clearly isn't doing much. I was wondering is there anything I can do from now till baby comes or after to make them not look so horrible?
View 3 RepliesMy son is 2yrs 2 months old and has suffered Constipation for 10 months ... it started when i went away for a weekend and he had his first weekend without breastmilk... 3 days late he was screaming in pain and had a stool stuck I was about to take him to hospital when in dropped enough for us to remove it,
the problem got more frequent over the coming weeks despite a lot of research on web tryin all kinda things increasing his fluids (which just made him wee more) and changing his diet (we tried more prunes, brown bread rice pastas, watermelon and watery fruits cutting out bananas and other foods) and he was prescribed Lactulose by the dr, whom told me it was just something toddlers get at this age, but it got worse as we weaned him onto cow's milk and the dr just increased his does of Lactulose over and over ... and saying would be 2 years until he would ref him to hospital.....OMG was my reaction, he passes stools most days but all are firm large and dry like rock the poor thing is in tears trying to pass them. his hanging of furniture like his in labour and there telling me this is normal at his age.......
so with yet more net research tried yet more diet changes no milk at all , goats milk, pre and probiotics, exercises, massage still to little or no effect
he now has senna from the dr too but the dr is still refusing to give him a ref, but my Hv has at least said there is a problem she thinks its "slow bowel" so currently trying to find out more on this as i am at my wits end and running out of things to try to relieve his pain its breaking my heart,
I know this is also now becoming psychological too and who can blame him when it hurts him so much, I am worried it will effect his happy go lucky nature being in pain for months on end. not to mention he starts preschool in nov and i am worried if this isn't sorted by then what i am going to do....
have just had a telephone consult with my gp he tells me my cholesterol is 5.63 good and bad chol 3.69 can anyone tell me what this means? is it high - he wants me to go on statins and i am already on warfarin.
