I'm having pains on the left side of my chest, and i feel that it's because of my heart beating really hard. When it does start to pain my heart rate is 90 beats per min. What could be the possible cause of this?
View 5 RepliesI am a 27 years old male and have been suffering from some left chest pain for the past two weeks. The pain worsens when taking a deep breath, exercising, lying down, and even talking. Along with the the chest pain I get a sharp stabbing pain in my back when doing all the same activities. The weirdest thing is I have a hard lump on my chest that is painful to touch. It doesn't get better with ice or heat and pain medications don't seem to help either.
View 1 Repliesi am 15 years old, and i have smoked weed about 8 times. but the last time i really got a bad trip. it felt like my heart was going to explode and like i couldn't breathe properly. after the effect stopped. i were fine. but some days later i felt that my heart was beating fast and hard. i went to the doctor, he said it was just fine but i still felt in in the same unpleasant way. sometimes i get this tickling feeling in my heart and i've lost my appetite. any ideas to what it could be?sorry 4 the bad english.

X-ray 6 times in 6 months and doctors can not see what is wrong with me. Do I have a virus going inside my body? A viral infection?
View 2 Repliesi am 18 years old, but the symptoms start from when i was about 13 years old. the occurrence of the symptoms was seldom, but now since i was in senior high school, it started to occur more often. sometimes it will attack several times a day but sometimes it will attack after several days had passed.
the symptoms are pierced-like pain in lungs, heart, or liver. sometimes it happen in my stomach but i assumed that it was because i eat something. sometimes a shortness of breathing happen and i coughed a lot, i didn't cough blood though. can you help me?
I saw a cardiologist in september of last year and he assured me everything was normal. I see a cardiologist every few years to check on my arrhythmia that has been a pain in the butt for years.
I am 28 year old female. I have been having pain in my left chest, left shoulder and right jaw for about 5 days now. Yesterday, I went to the ER because it felt like someone was stabbing me in between my shoulder blades and I couldn't catch my breath.
They did a rapid EKG and a blood test when I walked in the door. The nurse said, I doubt anything is wrong with your heart its probably an ulcer or something. So they took me to a room and got me settled in. The doctor comes in a tells me my blood test showed that I either had a heart attack or I am going to have a heart attack!! Really?!?? Totally started freaking.
They re-ordered the blood tests twice after that. They came back normal. Both of my EKGS were normal and a CT scan with contrast of my chest came back normal. They sent me home.
I am still freaking out. My left arm/shoulder is really sore. I am trying to re-assure myself that nothing is wrong or else they wouldn't let me leave, right?
I just need re-assurance to trust the doctors and not let my mind go to that place....What could be the problem?
Hello I am 22 and I've been suffering from anxiety for about a year! I've been through it all, 5 hospital visits, various doctors, and I still don't believe it's anxiety but I have been proven it is! I've also been on various medications and I had been doing very well until the past month! My husband's brother age 23 passed tragically from a gun accident and my grandpa passed of cancer the next week! Since then I have had chest pain, shortness of breath, pounding heart and just an uneasy feeling! In general I thought that I handled all this very well but my symptoms say otherwise! I guess what I'm asking is can death cause my anxiety to increase even if I didn't notice! The chest pains are what scare me the most but I keep telling myself it's just anxiety because I've had a sonogram some of my heart and he said it's perfectly fine and I have no family history of heart problems and I'm only 22, went to doc yesterday and blood pressure was 124/75! I guess I don't understand how all my medical tests can be perfect but I don't feel perfect! Advice anyone?

Over exaggerated? Are my readings normal? Should I worry about the pains in my chest with this kind of reading? Also...as you can tell my mind races. Feeling so exhausted and very alone.

This is so crazy that a disease such as acid reflux can make you feel this way. My symptoms to name a few, I can't breathe, I have chest pain, I have the heart palps, I have the heart flutters, I have the chest tightness. The first thing I think of is THIS HAS GOT TO BE MY HEART! But no its the thing called gerd! I quit drinking, I quit smoking, I quit all of the stuff that I loved, and it is still here.

I looked online and multiple websites said young boys around 12-17 during puberty. So I shrugged it off but today I woke up and I had a really bad headache and i was listening to music and I sneezed and started bleeding from my nose. I read that signs of cancer are small lumps in chest and headaches, I'm really scared pls help.
View 3 RepliesFor the past 4 or 5 days i been having hard heart beats but at a normal heart rate i don't feel weak or anything it's just the worry i have and i get a little panic cause the hard heart beat is just there i can see my stomach move a little with each heartbeat i don't know if its cause the anxiety causing this but the hard heart beat won't go away i been having anxiety for the past 2 months i would say i would get really worried and kinda panic i did go to the hospital they took xrays and blood test and checked my heart they said everything is good and when im at night trying to sleep i struggle cause i just feel my heart beat and doesn't let me relax if anyone is having this please give advice on any medication or diets that can help i'm 24 and weight 165 pounds

As far as I know I have nothing wrong with my heart but put on bisoprolol as my regular non specific beta blocker (Inderal LA) was discontinued. I was put on it 8 years ago for migraine only.
I am a 25 year old female. For about a year now I've been getting sharp stabbing chest pains in my right side which last from 1-14 days. The pain is worse when I take a breath inward and there is no tenderness. There is no monthly pattern with the pains, but I get them at least once every 2 months. I have noticed that every time I sleep on my right side, these pains appear. However I'm not sure whether this is a coincidence or not?
The first time this happened I went to A&E, they did an ECG and checked me for blood clots but everything was fine. Could this be pleurisy do you think? And does anyone know whether sleeping on my right side would bring the pains on. I am getting worried at this keeps happening, I thought it would sort itself out.
I'm a 38-year-old female. Severely hard and fast heart beats. Severe 24/7 head pain. All ruled out. I am planning to get off Zoloft, which my doctor had me at 300 MGS - I have been at 200 for a month or so.
View 2 RepliesI am experiencing the sensation of food being stuck in the throat/chest, as if you swallowed a large pill and it is resting there. I have had acid reflux issues and take Zantac for it (previously Prilosec) and neither of them helped much. It's difficult to swallow and I also feel like I need to burp to relieve some pressure build-up in my throat/chest.
I woke up out of sleep last night and felt this sensation severely along with stabbing pain in my upper abdomen the radiated up to my chest. There's dull pain in my lower back as well along with nausea, trouble getting a full breath. It's extremely uncomfortable and concerning. It seems to hurt more when lying down, but I feel it when I'm upright too.
I'm waiting on a referral to see a Gastroenterologist to discuss my very extensive list of symptoms.
I understand that it anxiety could add to the pains I'm feeling, and I do have extreme anxiety when it comes to my health, but what I'm worried about is that I woke up out of my sleep with this pain to where it can't be directly caused by anxiety. I've been to the hospital for chest pains a couple of occasions and they ruled out everything but anxiety. So trust me, I know what anxiety can do.
So spent night in hospital for chest infection on Tuesday night. Been on 50mg steroids and 500 mg Co amoxiclav three times a day.
Pulled my back muscles coughing yesterday so taking diazepam as doctor prescribed for it as asthmatic so can't take ibuprofen.
However today when woke up my lower right lung area is swollen and have acute sharp stabbing pain when cough and constant pain which is dull. Anyone any idea what it is? I'm wondering if diaphragm or maybe need to see doctor for 3rd day this week.
i have suffered with teitze for the last 12 years but for the last 8 weeks i feel like a thudding in the left side of my chest but more recently it feels like my heart is jumping out my chest and it takes breath away. I find this very scary as you wonder what will happen next,it disappeared for 4 days this week but appeared again now and has been happening most of the day
View 1 RepliesI've been experiencing an intermittent vibration from the region of my heart for the last 5 months. It can occur at anytime but usually when I am at rest or sleeping. I also get PACs and tachycardia in the afternoons which occurs whenever I am standing or walking (approximately 110 bpm). Sometimes the vibration is triggered by a PAC.
I have done the following tests
- 24 hour ecg (normal)
- Echocardiogram (normal)
- Blood test to check electrolytes and thyroid (normal)
I am 31 years old and Male. I am currently taking medication for hypertension but have been assured this is not a side effect of the med.
I went to urgent care for chest pains I was having the night before. The doctor did an EKG, blood test, and chest X-ray. He went over all the results and said everything was okay. He went over the chest x ray and said my heart was a little bit above average size and said it was no big deal. But I went home and looked that up and it seems like a pretty big deal. Now I can't stop stressing about it and my anxiety has been awful all night and day.
View 4 RepliesHello, I am only in my 20s but I have been experiencing a dull chest pain on the left side of my chest, I have had it for about 2 months.
I am worried that something might be wrong with my heart as my resting heart rate is about 86-105, which of course is very high, I am a light smoker (10 a day) and after having a cigarette it can jump up to 140bpm+
If I do something like run up the stairs, or maybe do a fast walk it can jump up to 110 easily, if I check my heart rate after I get out of bed it will range from 65-75.
This all started a few months ago when I felt really weak one day and fell on my bet, and I couldn't move and had a great chest pain that felt like I was going to die, I was also shaking uncontrollably... I would have rang an ambulance but I couldn't get up...
I have been to the doctors a few time, and they either refuse to do anything because of my age and say that I am fine, or another time they said it might be indigestion (I took some tablets and my heart rate hasn't lowered or the chest pain hasn't stopped)
After begging the doctors to give me an ECG, it came back fine... But I feel they missed something as when they did it I wasn't feeling any chest pain (My heart rate was 90 at the time)
I wish they would give me a full checkup as something is clearly wrong... I am thinking heart failure, why can't they make me run on the spot or put me on a treadmill for 30 seconds so they can see how fast my heart is pumping.
This isn't anxiety, and I have never had a panic attack before... I am just worried that something might be wrong... And no doctor will check me out because of my age, I mean I think I had a heart attack a couple of months ago and now my heart is failing me!
What do I do!!! Where do I go for someone to give me a full checkup, all of the doctors I go to say something different (Some say indigestion, some say anxiety)
Would you guys say I had a heart attack and am now having heart failure? Or am I worrying about nothing, I just wish the doctors would give me a full physical!
Edit My heart rate as of now is 108, and I am having chest pains on the left side as always (Dull ones), my heart rate used to be in the 60s-low 70s... And this is what is making me think I am having heart failure, but the doctors won't take me seriously and won't give me proper checkups. Can it be something other than a problem with my heart?
