Cancer :: Mole Getting Bumpier - Melanoma? Opinions?
Aug 16, 2015
I have noticed this mole getting bumpier over the past few months. Could anybody who has been diagnosed with melanoma give their opinion? I understand that only a dermatologist can make a proper diagnosis, but I would appreciate any feedback.
ps: I am a 24 year old Caucasian female.

I have noticed that I have a mole on my putter labia. I noticed it about 6 months ago. Never thought anything about it til now. I noticed that it made a V shape. It is dark brown. The size of a normal mole. It is also flat. No strange border yet. I'm just very concerned about the the V shape of it.

A few years ago I noticed 3 relatively small moles on my pubic area and didn't think much of it. But it grew much bigger and there are another 2 new moles in that area. I'm worried that it could be melanoma as the size is rather big and it's black but I'm too embarrassed to go to a doctor because the mole is at my inner vagina lip while the other 4 are beside the anus. I'm so worried, please can any doctor here help to see if this seem like melanoma, from the pictures attached?

I've got a small mole in my head. when I wash my hair, I always scratch it and sometimes it bleeds. I read the acticle about melanoma. Should I visit oncologist or everything is ok with me?

I am a girl, I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and my skin isn't pale but more "golden" colored. I generally tan pretty well in the sun and usually only get burned on my face and shoulders. I have never used a tanning bed before. however, I have a mole that's about a centimeter away from where my arm pit meets my chest that's concerning. It's much larger and darker than my other moles, it's a little bigger than a pencil eraser and is very dark brown and a teeny bit raised. The edges are chestnut colored and a little blurry, but it is still shaped like a circle (symmetrical). I am noticing it more often now than it the past, which makes me wonder if it has grown. I would get it looked at by a doctor, however the mole has always been covered by a swimsuit and to my knowledge, has never seen the sunlight. Does this mean that it couldn't be skin cancer?

I'm a 23 year old female with light skin. I have had this mole on my lower back for many years and it has always been slightly raised. Upon examining it recently after not looking at it for many years I feel it might be more raised then it was before. Its about 5-6mm in diameter, does not itch or bleed or anything. I'm not entirely sure if its changed but I think it might have. Is it possible for a mole to grow naturally? Should I be concerned about this, could it be nodular melanoma? I read nodular melanoma occurs in a new skin growth 97% of the time I'm not sure if this was true. I have a picture posted....

I was diagnosed with melanoma in 2006 and had to have my toe amputated. I have been fine since, however I have been worried about a lump in my groin. The thing is....this morning it's now a bit smaller. Should I assume it's nothing serious since it has reduced in size, and no need to get it checked by dermatologist?

Awaiting biopsy results, trying not to go crazy. Probably shouldn't be on the Internet.
I've had these spreading brown spots, about 1cm diameter on my lower belly. Several months ago, a crusty little tower rose up out of one of them, which itched and bled. I went to my dr, and he set up referral to derm. But then the crusty little tower turned into a smooth brown bump on one side of the spread-flat-mile. I figured I'd over-reacted, and cancelled the derm appt.
Next time I saw dr, he said I still need to see derm, so I reluctantly called derm and they were booking 3-4 months out. But, they had a cancellation in 2 days! I took it, but then forgot about it. Called to apologize, and lo, they had another cancellation in another 2 days! That time I didn't forget! My daughter said, mom, God must really want you to see the dermatologist. Maybe she was right.
At the appt, he ended up doing a full-body scan, to my relief, because I have many moles and can't see them all. He wants to remove the one I went in about, but he was really alarmed by a mole on my inner thigh that was completely off my radar. It was a dark brown dome, smaller than pencil eraser. He asked a lot of questions about it, and was able to get me back in for its removal last Friday. He said, I don't like the look of this at all! He said he was so glad to remove it. Now I wish I'd taken a picture of it!
My next appt is two weeks from last, where he'll remove stitches and the original mole of concern - which he said was often the case where a different mole at least brought you in, but wasn't the real bad one.
I don't think he was trying to scare me, and I'm not scared. I just want to know already. It's hard to take cancer seriously, in the form of a little mole.
On the other hand, I've been feeling really tired the past year, and especially lately. So now my mind says what if it's NM and in lymph nodes. But I haven't read anything to back that up.

About 6 months ago It 'appeared as a dark line on my right thumb.
I went to the dermatologist and he told me that when in doubt I'll have to 'do a biopsy. between 45 days. It's not 'too much time to wait in your opinion?

I am not overly concerned about the length and girth of my penis, but I have always had a curve that bends to the left, and have always been a self-conscious about it. I should say that I have had the curve for as long as I can remember (i'm 30 now), and it bends to the left when erect and flaccid. As such, I’m fairly sure that it is not Peyronie’s disease.
I have looked at how penis extenders work, and it appears that they exert tension on the penis and consequently promote cell growth within the three parts of the penis that fill with blood and form an erection. These are called the corpora cavernosa (right and left) and the corpus spongiosum (smaller and running along the bottom of the penis). My thinking is that the corpora cavernosa on the left side of my penis did not develop as much as the corpora cavernosa on the right when I was young, hence the left curve. I'm thinking/ hoping that using a penis extender would promote more cell growth in the left corpora cavernosa than right, as it will be under a greater degree of tension due to it being shorter; this should result in a reduction in the curve. My major concern is that somehow, no idea how, it makes the curve worse.
I am really looking for either a second opinion on my assumptions or some personal experiences from guys with curves in their penises who have used penis extenders.

I am looking for input as far as the Implanon birth control implant. I have read pages upon pages about this and how it works. However, I'd like to hear a few personal experiences if possible. My insurance covers 100% of the cost, so that is not an issue.
A little about me: I'm going to be 24 in a few short days. My fiance' and I do not have any interest in having children in the next five to eight years. We have a number of long-term goals, and are just not ready for a child any time in the near future.
Thanks in advance!

I had my iud removed and I switched to a new birth control the depo shot. I had one period the day I got the shot and it's been a month and two weeks since I got the shot and no period still. Am I not getting it because of the shot? It's a new birth control for me and I read about it but when I had the iud I got my period so i'm just confused and concerned I'm not getting it.

I would like to ask a question re Physio. Some of you seem to think your PT has been superb. Can I ask what he/she does with you. I feel that mine has been a total waste of space and I'm not sure what to do yo try to improve the angle of the bend in my knee.
I go back on Thursday to see my surgeon, it will be 7.5 weeks since the op. I want to be able to speak honestly to him about my experience.
Today I went into town with my daughter and 5 year old granddaughter. Hitchin is an old market town with cobble streets and lots of steps up and down on and off pavements. I went without a stick, big big regret. I am almost 7 weeks post-TKR. My leg was in agony and I couldn't wait to get home. That was really depressing as I thought I was doing so much better.

Is is necessary to shave your hair for a surgical excision mole removal on the scalp? I'm a 29 year old female with long hair and my dermatologist says she must shave off a section of my hair so hair doesn't grow into the wound. The mole is about the size of an eraser and located near the crown of my head.
I'm very worried about the aesthetic result. Is this usually necessary or should I get an opinion from another doctor? I really don't want to lose my hair. Also, is it likely that the mole removal itself will leave a bald patch?

I have found that there is a black mole thing on my vagina flap or something like that and it wasn't there before what should I do? By the way I'm only 13 haven't had my period and am still a virgin!

I have been having this for a while, not really sure when it came about considering I don't look down there too often. Thought it was normal until I took sex ed and saw that girls do not have this. It will sometimes irritate me and itch. I am a virgin, and its highly unlikely this is an STD. I know moles are associated with cancer, and I'm kind of freaking myself out.
