View 1 RepliesI'm 22 years old, normally had heavy menstrual period, often had irregular discharge (varied in color, thickness, and smell depending on weather, amount of stress, and the amount of chemical I interact with - I'm a nail technician).
I began to be involved in sexual activities and birth control pill in February. I also had a pap test in February. Everything was normal. No irregular discharge between periods anymore, but did have brown discharge for days after period.
Two weeks ago, I changed to a new pill (from Reclipsen to Microgestin Fe 1/20) due to rashes side effect. I had intercourse on Friday of the first week of the new pill. On Sunday, I began to have dark brown color discharge (no odor, itch, burn, or discomfort). The heaviest discharge was on Tuesday with watery, dark brown, dark blood color, with some light/bright blood cloth. It is Thursday now (day 5) and I'm still having discharge, although lighter color (orangy-brownish). There are still no odor, burning, or itching feeling except for a small pimple on the labia majora - which might due to the fact I've been wearing mini pads for several days, making it too moist.
I went to see an Ob/Gyn doctor for a test and consultation today. The doctor looked at the color and say it might be infection due to its orangey-cloudy color. She also said it might be completely normal.
I'm very worry but the result won't come in until next week. My questions are:
1/ Is this really vaginitis infection?
2/ If yes, can it spread during intercourse? In other words, will it affect my partner?
3/ Can I rule out STD since the first pap test (in February) returned normal?
4/ I had worse symptoms before (with color and odor) but it was before I have a partner. Most of them last a week or more, but all went away on their own. This time, is the discharge the same - due to my irregular menstrual cycle?
Additional information:
-I'm in my final exams week, with lots of stress recently
-I've been engaging in a diet, which caused me to lose weight drastically (2.5 pounds/week)
--> Can this also be a cause?
Since last 01 year, I am suffering from acute pain around the vagina. MRI explained that Fibroid over uterus, sigmoid colon and uterus are cohesive with each other. Doctors have different opinion. Help me to diagnose the problem and find out the actual reason of pain.
View 1 RepliesWeekly blood removal was ordered by my hematologist. Being needle phobic I knew it wasn't going to be fun. Since being misdiagnosed since 2007 my iron levels were greatly increased. After going for my first blood removal, I was concerned since after trying both arms, they were unable to get the 500 ml due to the thickness of the blood and the small veins, I believe they were only able to get 50 ml Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone have any recommendations on how to get more blood out?
View 6 RepliesWhen I went in for my appointment a couple weeks ago my doctor was trying to listen to my baby's heartbeat on the doppler and he couldn't find it. So he felt my uterus and told me that it was tilted backwards. He then sent me for an ultrasound and the baby was alright and they were able to hear the heartbeat. The doctor told me that my uterus wouldn't cause any problems and would not harm the baby, but I'm still kinda worried about it. Does anyone have this and is farther along having a normal pregnancy? Just wondering because I am only 10 weeks.
View 6 RepliesWorried. Going in next week for D&C and hysteroscopy. (Whatever that is)
Had a biopsy 2 years ago and came out ok. I am 60 years old with prolapse
level 3 cystocele. Was getting bladder infections every 3 months and seems like I was always on antibiotics which I am starting to get immune to. Not sure if I should be getting a D&C or just another biopsy. No bleeding at all. Also they are giving me General ANESthesia which don't know if this is the right choice. Also how long do you need to stay home after before returning to work? REally appreciate your help. Scared!!! May need repair lift or hysterectomy. Not sure which one or if should take out ovaries of leave in and just do lift. Just don't know what to do. Don't like pessaries
I am going to the doctor in a week but I wanted some possible ideas of what it could be on here.
I am a 19 year old girl, I've been with my boyfriend for 3 months. STD free. I am on the birth control Implanon. But its gone now. We have sex about every other day. He is bigger than the previous guys I've been with.
The last two weeks have been a bit of an issue. Sex feels fine, but right after we're done I have this pretty bad pain in my lower abdomen, where my uterus and cervix is. It just feels exactly like very bad period cramps. I have no other symptoms. I am supposed to be getting my period in about a week. The only change I can think of is he has been lasting longer lately, to where he's inside of me for 45 minutes straight. The pain only lasts for about 10 minutes after we have sex.
Is it possible he is being too rough and too long in me which is causing pain? I am a petite girl. Or is it something else? Sorry, I'm a bit of a hypochondriac. Could it be an infection?
I'm 17 years old and my gynecologist has told me I have no uterus and that i have cyst on both of my ovaries. What does this actually affect, is my question? Can I have children? Are my periods suppose to feel like any other girls ?
View 1 RepliesFor a while now (today I'm 35 weeks) when I stand longer than 20/30mins, the top of my uterus hurts. I don't know why. And past 2 days I've had a sharp pain that lasts seconds on the top of my uterus when I sit or stand or try to stand up. Why?
View 1 RepliesI have noticed a 'bulge' in my lower region, made an appointment with the gp who was very unsympathetic, she told me i was really at the wrong place (possibly because i made an emergency appointment?) wasn't sure what else to do, she asked me if i wanted her to examine me? to which i replied yes, when she did it hurt very much even after having children, she said i had a prolapsed uterus but to do some pelvic floor exercises, as a gynae would say the same and to go back in 4 weeks, she made it seem like it's very mild, it is however lying along the floor of my vagina (is the only way to describe it) there is also some of it bulging out, i can feel my coil strings when i wipe. I feel like i have just 'been left' and am very distressed about the whole thing. i can't see that pve would help when it seems my muscles must have already gone? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

View 1 RepliesMy doctor had me get a sonogram because she thought I may have endometriosis. While this wasn't true, I do have fluid in my uterus, and on top of that, my thyroid levels have dropped just over the past month. I think I may be pregnant, and my doctor seems to agree with me, but I'm not sure. I'm only nineteen. Are there any other reasons this stuff is happening or could it be that I'm pregnant?
View 1 RepliesI am receiving conflicting information regarding treatment for hrt. I have a uterus intact I was prescribed combined hrt progesterone and estrogen estalis patches. Then I went to another gyno who said that recent studies have proved that estrogen only with uterus in tact is safer that in fact it's the progesterone that is toxic.
Is anyone receiving the same advice? I am going to another gyno tomorrow to get another opinion

View 2 RepliesDoes anyone know if a thick endometrial wall can thin out even if you don't get any bleeding? Like a mentioned in a past post, my endometrium thickness is 15mm, it's been almost a month since it was last seen on the US. Is it possible it could have shrunk?
