So I had my son on the 26th and everyone has been telling me to switch to formula because I have flat nipples and the only way to get my son to latch is with a nipple shield. My doctor said that as long as I'm feeding him I'm doing great but my boyfriends mother is under the assumption that because I'm using a nipple shield I'm going to give my son bad teeth. Is this true?

Any advice on how to make them better? I have that lanolin cream, I've only used it once so far. Has anyone had good experience with this cream? I'm was told colostrum is also good to use.
What are my cans and cants? Foods, beverages, medicines. Obviously no drugs or alcohol or cigarettes -of course.
I had my little man on March 17, and since then I've been trying to breastfeed. It was going okay until I got a cracked nipple. All it does now is extremely stress me out. It seem like my little man is trying to eat more and more, and it just hurts so bad. I started him on formula, and he seems so much more happy. He's willing to actually be awake now without needing to eat, he also sleeps much better. I have pumped three bags of milk, but even the pumping is starting to be uncomfortable now. Are any mother not breastfeeding? Do you feel guilty?

I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experiences with it and what kind of side effects they experienced. I'm terrible at remember to take the pills, so they just weren't practical for me, but I want to make sure I'm not making a mistake as I have heard horror stories of women losing fertility after using Implanon.
View 1 RepliesI'm 37 weeks and have been putting palmers lotion on my tummy since I found out I was pregnant. It wasn't till about 28 weeks I started to get stretch marks and now they're so awful. My tummy looks like a train wreck. I'm still continuing with the lotion although it clearly isn't doing much. I was wondering is there anything I can do from now till baby comes or after to make them not look so horrible?
View 3 RepliesI have had Hidradenitis suppurativa for almost 4 years. After much trial and error I have been able to control and rarely have breakouts. At one point it was so bad and was in so much pain I thought I would have to have surgery to remove the glands. My best and only advice is remove all gluten. GLUTEN IS YOUR ENEMY. It is an inflammatory and will cause you to have break outs. Look at your diet and see how much you eat. It is not only bread and flour its also malt, barely and rye. Gluten is in so many processed foods. It is a challenge to change your eating habits and it will take a few months to notice a difference. But I guarantee that if you omit gluten completely you will see results in just a few weeks. You can not cheat everything in your diet must be gluten free at all times. You will be able to control and almost completely rid yourself of the painful cysts. I also quit smoking which seems to be part of the cause as well. Do your research on what gluten is and read all labels on the products you buy. You will be shocked at how much your food is contaminated with the stuff. Its in Chinese food, beer, most sauces, taco bell even has it in their products. I can not tell you how much better I feel and relived that there was a solution to this painful disease.

Then Monday afternoon I realized my nipples were very tender and they hurt to squeeze or touch. Today is Friday and they still hurt. I do not have any other pregnancy symptoms. But I would just like to make sure im not pregnant. And what other cause is there? My boobs have been growing so is it possible my nipples are growing too?

View 1 RepliesDec. 25 me and My boyfriend had unprotected sex, we were using the pullout method but I don't think he pulled out well about a week later we had sex again on the 27, 29, 30, and 31 we still used the same method. on the 27 we used a condom but it ended up coming off inside me (I got it out). And around the first of January I got a really small out of light pink discharge then later on that day it turned brown then stopped , this was weird because I don't spot before My period. the next day (jan. 2) I started bleeding really light and it lasted for about 5 days (My period was suppose to start around the 10) and I always have real bad pms symptoms but I didn't. couple days go by and I start getting real tired than before and I keep getting light headaches. My stomach begins to feel nauseous, and I get small cramps in My lower abdominal area right above My vagina. these feelings last for almost a week or two, and yesterday I happened to notice the area near My uterus (between the vagina and belly button) to look a little swollen My nipples darker (or I'm Just seeing stuff) I got diarrhea for about a day and now I keep getting little cramps in abdominal area. so I was wondering could I possibly be pregnant?

The discharge controlled but now one of my right breast is still having a drop of green discharge when i squeeze. since, a week or so i'm feeling slight pain under my breast. i want to ask that what this exactly is? Is this the indication of some cyst or tumor in my breast?
View 2 RepliesI had this weird feeling for a while in my left breast just felt odd. I was feeling it the other night wondering what it was and felt a large disk shape under my nipple. I freaked out got really worried and then looked online and realised it could be puberty. But the symptoms are much more like the cancer ones. It's only in one breast and doesn't really hurt, doesn't look really much different but sometimes goes in, in the middle. I felt it tonight and it's a different shape, it's like a large oval shape just larger than my nipple a few inches maybe. It's hard very hard and really worrying me and upsetting me. Please help. Can't sleep or be happy. I have definitely started puberty but don't think finished. I'm quite small and skinny too.

View 3 RepliesAt first my breast was really itchy so I scratched a lot and that caused the skin around my nipple to Peel. After that I noticed some liquid coming out of that area so I put a napkin inside my bra. Later, when I was trying to pull the napkin off, I noticed it's stuck to the part where it was watering. So I pulled on the napkin and it did come off. But that again caused the skin to peel and i saw yellow dry stuff on the napkin. At night instead of sticking to my bra or the napkin, it would get stuck to my shirt and it would look just like the napkin. So after a few months I visited my family doctor and he gave me a special cream to put on twice a day and if it doesn't get better I should see him again in two weeks. After 3 days, my breast was completely normal again so I stopped using the cream. But it came back again. It would start itching then the skin around my nipple would tighten and crumble. I would pull on my skin and there would be cracks on the skin. During the day, the skin would Peel and the same thing would happen all over again.
Please note that this only happens to my left breast.
I am a little concerned about a pain i've been having in my left breast beneath/under my nipple area? ...ive not banged it its not itchy it just hurts (stabbing pain )when touched...iveits not during menstruastion its all the time...the actual look of my boob has changed my 32d bra on the left feels fuller and quite tender...milk seemed to be leaking from them but it was a tiny amount but has happened a few ti.es (my daughters nearly 7!)..i feel tired all the time as sleeping is uncomfortable...i also came out in spots/a few weeks ago which are still healing ..not sure if thats related but thought id mention it...any advice or help would be gratefully accepted ...i have 'rang' my male dr who said it sounds like chicke pox/shingles?
View 4 RepliesI use to have irregular periods, but they have become regular over time. I normally have light the first day or two then it becomes heavy and lasts a week. Last month my period was due April 26th, and I ended up getting it on April 30th, I woke up and my stomach was VERY tight, I had hardness under my belly button for a few weeks before period, it was VERY light at first, light pink, and in some mucus. The next day I did not have normal clots like I get which are darker red and heavy. I got these very small light pink clots that lasted a day, and only showed up when I wiped. I had normal clots show up in toilet twice and that is it. The next few days it got lighter, and it stopped on May 4th, I stopped wearing pads on the 3rd day it was so light. I never have periods that light and that short. My nipples are still sore, my stomach still hurts and is a little tight still, have horrible acid reflux, and gas. What could this be? My friend and boyfriend both think I am pregnant, but I don't think I am. I took a test over a week ago and it was a BFN.
View 1 RepliesI'm 25, I have these very small red spots on my penile shaft that are not painful and do not itch. I kept picking at them and I couldn't tell if I "popped" them but one slightly bled and they are still there. They don't look like blisters or crusty. I know what herpes feels/looks like bc I got it on my face from wrestling in college. I also have what appeared to be chiggers around my ankles and knees and that has also spread throughout other places on my body such as my butt/waistline, bellybutton, and parts of my arm. Most of these have itch pretty bad, but some have not at all. My lymph nodes in the left side of my groin are slightly swollen and sore. I also had sort of a congestion thing too with a sore throat, but that seems to have subsided. However, I still feel pretty tired at times. I was freaking out about an STD, but when I went to the doctor he immediately said it looked nothing like an STD when he saw the spots and I was fine. They are spread out at least a half an inch and don't look clustered. He said it could be scabies or some kind of mite so he prescribed me antibiotics and prednisone which I started yesterday. The last time I was sexually active was about 6 wks ago with my girlfriend at the time, and she had been tested for STD's while we were together which came back negative. Does the doctor sound right on all of this and it's not something to worry about? I've been having other personal issues going on with family so this stuff is just kind of compounding on top of all that.2 hours ago-4 days left to answer. I also forgot to mention that my doc said it could also be folliculitis. The red dots on my penis have been there for about 3 days now. As far as the lymph nodes in the groin, I stay very active in sports and thought I might've stretched a muscle around there this past Saturday- not sure if that's the cause for them to be like they are.
