Breastfeeding :: Painful In The Beginning
Jun 13, 2016
I'm asking Moms who breastfed more than one baby already. Is it as painful in the beginning the second time around? Or your boobs just get used to it?
It was pretty painful for me in the beginning with my son but got much better later on. I'm worried it will be as painful in the beginning with my second..

Please don't judge me. Since June I started smoking cigarettes and it got worse the more I tried to quit. I finished my last pack yesterday and I'm determined to not smoke anymore because I don't want to harm my baby that had been healthy this whole way. My question is it worse to smoke more towards the end of pregnancy than the beginning? I stopped smoking the same month I found out I was pregnant n then stress had me smoking again n june to August

I am not sure if what I have is a tension Headache or not so this may not even be the right forum but I figured I would see if anyone else has similar issues. I have been sick for some time now (brain fog, lethargy, muscle pain, stomach issues) a few months ago I started getting pain in my eyebrows (the bone) so I went to my Dr she had x-rays of sinuses done to check for polyps but nothing was found at that time she put me on doxycycline because all my symptoms pointed to lymes disease even though I didn't have the hallmark bullseye bite mark. A few weeks later I went to the eye Dr as my vision has seemed off (certain patterns were freaking my eyes out like when I was driving and shadows of trees would flicker I would start to feel weird) anyways he did a full eye exam and he said my eyes were fine so I went back to my Dr as the pain in eyebrows had grown worse. She checked my nose and said it was most likely sinus related and that the die off from the lymes was most likely causing inflammation in the sinuses and causing the pain to increase. She put me on methylprednisolone for 6 days which initially worked but a few weeks later boom the pain was back with a vengeance. She suggested I see an ENT which I did he checked everything and did a catscan of my sinuses and said there is no issue with my sinuses and I may want to see a neurologist(which I previously saw about a year ago when my symptoms started and she said she didn't think it was neurological. The pain is almost constant except in the early morning the pain starts at the beginning of the the eyebrows and travels to about the pupil it hurts to push on it and I feel like there is pressure behind my eyes.

Is anyone breastfeeding while trying to get pregnant? Or has gotten pregnant while BF? My cycles came back 3m after our baby girl was born and I've been tracking my ovulation.. My cycles are much longer now, about 35 days apart and I am ovulating. (Using test strips) we've been trying for 3 months, baby is 9m now and still breast feeding.

I'm really keen on losing weight after having had a baby 2 months ago. I've used Orlistat before and it's been with great results. I'm currently breastfeeding exclusively so not sure if it's wise to start on the tablets again or not?

Anyone know anything about pot and pregnancy? I'm not planning on smoking any during my pregnancy but is it safe (in moderation of course) when you're breast feeding? It seems like all the info out there about during or while breastfeeding is vague.

I have a 3 months old baby. I used to smoke pot and I am afraid it will effect on my baby. Can I breastfeed my baby and still smoke the pot? What does second hand smoke from pot do to a baby? Can I smoke in the same room where my baby sleeps?

So I am a breastfeeding mom. My son is 5 and 1/2 months old. I introduced formula for supplementation when he was about 4 and 1/2 months old. When I got pregnant I set a goal of exclusively breastfeeding for 6 months. I only introduced formula due to the fact that my son ate alllll the time and when I would pump I was barely getting an ounce. So he only got formula like before bedtime and when we we're out and about. Now when I pump i get like 5 ounces. Now I am trying to only breastfeed in the morning when he first wakes up and at bedtime. But the reason for this post is because I am trying to find ways to wean my son from breast feeding. I know that it's a process and I don't want to just take it away completely I enjoy the bonding time and the comfort I can give him from it.

It's so painful! o.O my daughter knows what she is doing, she is a super sucker and wants to suck everything up! Lol. But my poor nipples are so sore!
Any advice on how to make them better? I have that lanolin cream, I've only used it once so far. Has anyone had good experience with this cream? I'm was told colostrum is also good to use.
What are my cans and cants? Foods, beverages, medicines. Obviously no drugs or alcohol or cigarettes -of course.

I had my little man on March 17, and since then I've been trying to breastfeed. It was going okay until I got a cracked nipple. All it does now is extremely stress me out. It seem like my little man is trying to eat more and more, and it just hurts so bad. I started him on formula, and he seems so much more happy. He's willing to actually be awake now without needing to eat, he also sleeps much better. I have pumped three bags of milk, but even the pumping is starting to be uncomfortable now. Are any mother not breastfeeding? Do you feel guilty?
