Bowel Disorders :: Undigested Food In My Stool

I am a generally healthy, 22 year old male. However, I have a persistent problem with my digestion, particularly my stomach.
The issue began when I was 16. I would often have to do a poo multiple times a day, and I had some cramps. My stool was often undigested food. My doctor diagnosed IBS.
This continued off and on until I was 20, when I went to India and got two intestinal infections: one was a bacterial infection, which cleared up after a week of antibiotics (although I continued to have bloody diarrhea), the other was a parasite, which also went away after a week of an amebicide. However I continued to have issues with my bowels, with a black stool.
This has continued up till now. I find I often have pain in what I assume is the stomach area (the area of my top two abdominal muscles). I have frequent bloating, I burp a lot, and discomfort after I eat. I have a lot of trouble digesting vegetables, and if I eat them raw I can see them in my poo undigested.

I got diagnosed about 5 years ago although i don't get the typical d or c its just soft... anyway i get pains in my lower left and lower right sort of opposite my hip bone, i got period like pain and the feeling of needing to go alot i feel nauseous alot too... i used to eat very unhealthy since i've changed to a healthy diet about 2 weeks ago i've been suffering more?? i've noticed sorry if tmi but i get undigested food in my stool, seeds leafy greens mushrooms and these black bits probably food too. its really draining i have 2 young children and i'm 27 8 1/2 st i feel like i'm wasting my life i suffer with health anxiety too. i've not been feeling to bad but this last week i've really suffered im sat here at work feeling panicky.

My husband has been suffering from lower left pain and tenderness in his abdominal area. He also has loose stool and a lot of the time feels like he needs to go, but can't. Cramping included. He randomly feels nauseous. His pain is also cause with eating, so he avoids eating big portions. He does eat yogurt, one cup a night. It sometimes helps. He has had a colonoscopy done and it was clean. Heartburn is also included, he takes rolaids every night. I just wish I could help him. I hate seeing him in pain! What is wrong with him?

I'm 17 female and I know it's gross but I'm worried today and yesterday I had light brown stool with black in it the black piece was long I'm scared I have been taken vitamins the past two days but my stomach hurts and nobody will take me to the Dr should I be worried

The stools are usually of diarrhea consistency yet kind of tar like + they are nearly solid black.

So I have been bleeding on and off and passing mucus with my stool for 5/6 Years I'm 24 years of age and have did 6 stool tests in the last 3 months.
3 weeks ago I did a stool test where the inflammation level was 77.5 so doctor who thought it was ibs was not worried as I didn't have a high enough inflammation level for it to be anything serious but me being me wanted a colonoscopy just to be sure there is nothing sinister going on. So he persuaded me to do one more stool test this time my inflammation level went up to 255 am now Booked in to the gastroenterology department at the hospital I think for a colonoscopy!
Now ow I have only had bright blood in stools never dark or congested blood and often pass mucus in/on the stool too,I have no real abdominal pain in the tummy but I do pass wind quite regularly so the main worry is what diseases/conditions will a colonoscopy look for?.. Obviously Colon Cancer but what else....when the doctor told me the results over the phone she mentioned see if the inflammation it due to gastroenteritis or piles..

I recently broke up with my girlfriend and had a few days of pretty heavy drinking, 12+ beers throughout the day and night each day. I have always been somewhat of a heavy drinker and shortly after those 3 rough days of being down and in a dark place, I started to notice my stool was very dark brown or on the verge of black. It doesn't stink though. I read up on reasons why this would happen and the bleeding obviously scared me because of the drinking. Although I also had been taking some Chlorella supplements that contain iron off and on but they never gave me this color stool before. Sometimes green. Along with some Pepto Bismol the day before but only 2 doses, which is another cause. Some purple flavored sports drinks and even prune juice. So all of this can add up to the dark colored stool from what I read but I am still very worried. My stomach has been uneasy and makes me feel like I don't want to eat anything. Not sure if it's an upset stomach or still from the hangover. I'm into day 2 now, and it is still there and unsure when it should go away if it was from something other than bleeding? It doesn't seem to be dark black like tar or stink so I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am 27 and have always been very healthy other than my drinking habit which I am obviously going to drop because this has scared the poop out of me
Its Friday now and have dropped all the supplements and juices to see if it goes away. Just not sure how long it would take to go back to normal since I took multiple things that could cause it. I guess otherwise I will be calling the doctor on Monday.

I had irregular bowel movements for months and i finally became regular the last two weeks but something is terribly wrong because my stool is dark/black and smells like rotten eggs every time, my nutrition is in check because i am a bodybuilder and i consume 30-35 grams of fiber every day and eat all the micro nutrients I need, my macro nutrients are roughly 80 grams of fat and 180 grams of protein and rest of the calories are carbs ( i eat around 3000 calories every day.
Note: I was eating the right amounts of nutrients even while constipated.
is there any health issue i could be facing?
BTW I am 18 years old.

I had this stool with bright red blood yesterday and today. I couldn't tell how much blood there is but the water became bright red with 50% visibility (I looked at the stool ). I don't feel any pain and I feel nothing at all on my body. The day before I had the stool with blood, I drank four cups of green tea. I know tea is acidic but I am not sure if this is the cause of it. My urine is fine and without blood.

I am a 63 yr. old woman that has had five back surgeries, eight wrist surgeries. A hysterectomy And gallbladder surgery plus several serious stomach surgeries. These are over the past 20 yrs. Back surgeries most recent and gallbladder plus hysterectomy in last couple years. Anyway, that's not why I'm posting. I am posting because in the past week I started having Dark green bowel movements. I'm kind of constipated, but that's the norm for me. I can't think of anything different I'v done . I ate a couple pieces of cake last weekend with green frosting. I had an incident a few days ago where I bent over and had excruciating pain on my left , lower back. But I have a huge bolt there so I contributed it to that. It's a pinching feeling now. I am full of metal from my sacral to my neck. (Huge surgery) like I said, I just started the very dark green(almost black with green in it) stools. Any suggestions as to what can cause this? Thanks in advance for any input on this subject.

I am 24 years old and for the past month I have been experiencing increased gasses and watery stools. I have scheduled a check up with a doctor, but have to wait a bit since I am abroad. Naturally, I have googled quite a bit to see what can it be. Today I had a weird stool. I had a not so firm brown stool while it was surrounded with black toilet water. Is this blood? On internet I found that released blood should be red, while if it is upper in the body it should be combined with feces so I am puzzled.

So it all started roughly 4 weeks ago where suddenly one day I was getting really bad stomach cramps, bloating, a lot of gas especially after eating (my stomach would literally rumble all the time, eating or not eating), had very little appetite. Went to the doctors a few days later and they said I had a stomach infection, I wasn't having diarrhea or vomiting at the time.
I started to worry a lot during the next week or so as I suffer from pretty bad anxiety and the symptoms weren't changing at all. I lost about a stone of weight in a week and a half which I assume was down to not eating (I could only manage a few bananas a day)
About a week later my stomach cramps seemed to stop and a pain developed just under my right set of ribs, which seemed to get worse and worse as the days went by. I started to get really loose BMs of a weird green dark orange colour which seemed to reduce the pain and would find myself going 3+ times a day and not feel empty after the first. I find myself needing to urinate a lot more frequently too, maybe cause I'm drinking a load of water?
In my stools are these weird black dry bits of varying length (they were purple today but I'm not sure if that was kidney beans I ate last night) They are dry and kinda look like the bits of popcorn shell that come off the corns before you put them in the microwave, but not as hard if that makes sense?
I went to the doctors a few more times and got shrugged off saying it was all down to my anxiety which was causing the issues?
Finally I got to see a good doctor who gave me a blood test which came back with nothing and said I had IBS which was developed as a post-infection mixed with my anxiety levels. I kept asking if any other tests were required and he kept saying there is no point.
Now I usually have a constant pain under my right ribcage, which comes and goes through the day, usually worse after eating, sometimes under my left ribcage is a feint pain too and sometimes it'll rise into upper abdomen.
So what the hell is going on here? Sorry for the massive essay. I'm just really worried about these black bits in my stool, are they blood?!

I've been getting some anxiety over red bits in my stool. I think It's tomato and red pepper skins as I've read these are hard to digest and I had some red bits in my stool this morning and I did have tomatoes and peppers last night but I'm worried it could be blood. I've had a rectal examination and she said it was all normal. Has anyone experienced this?

I have had IBS for 20 years, and have been treating it with fiber therapy pretty successfully. In the last few months, i've had some odd bowel movements. the first one i noticed was long and thin and tough, like an elastic. i thought tapeworm, but my stool tested negative for worms. i can't explain it, but after wiping and checking it flings itself off the toilet paper a fair distance. I'm afraid to ask my doctor because he scoffed at me when i told him that i thought i had worms. i had a colonoscopy for my 50th birthday in august and everything checked out. Any idea as to what's happening?

I can't stand my weight, I hate having showers because I can see how fat I am, i once cried in the shower because of my weight,i know stupid, but it happened. I do eat but no more than 1,000 calories or just a tiny bit over and that's a bad day, I like to keep it down to under 900 but I have had a week of eating because I was so hungry but nothing more than the calories I should be eating for my age. I am very tired of always counting calories worry about food, when I have to pick my tea in the night I am there for ages trying to work out what to eat and the calories I do eat junk food but still nothing more than 1,000 calories, we barely had fruit or veg here so I do eat 'bad' foods. Food and weight is always on my mind, it's starting to affect me in school,I think if I'm gunna est in school and it's all the time. I am actually sick of it now but I can't stop, my kind tells me I'm fat but I don't no if it's a voice or me saying it to myself, I am giving up on myself because I think this is going to be my life, I don't see a future in me not worrying and fearing of gaining weight, it has taking me mentally you could say. I hate seeing really skinny people because Ino I'm not like that and it kills me, I worry about clothes fitting me if I have to try something in in front if someone. I am a 16 year old girl, 5'2 and 99pounds I've lost 10 pounds since Nov I had a week of eating and went up to 103 pounds I was just disgusted with myself.

I have hypothyroidism too which doesn't help, but when I'm low, bored or alone, I tend to binge eat junk food and my weight is getting to be a serious concern.
The problem is I'm a 31yr old male and I don't think anyone will take me seriously. I'm not sure weight watchers classes, self-help groups and that kind of thing are really going to benefit me, but I'm just not sure what help I can get or who will listen.

For a while now I've been struggling to eat. I think it's been about 6 months. I won't eat any cooked food and will only eat chocolates and sweets! I spend a massive portion of my time in the bathroom trying to get the food I do manage to eat out my system. I am really emotional lately as well and I don't know why?

So I'm really not sure why I've been having this issue but I've been having a lot of problems eating lately. Basically unless I'm really really hungry like, completely empty stomach, growling stomach, hours on end without eating, I simply can't eat. The mere smell of food makes my stomach twirl and feel repugnant/disgust towards eating. If I so much as eat one spoon, my stomach instantly feels like I'm about to throw up and in many occasions where I did force more to try and eat, I ended up actually vomiting, and after that not feeling hungry for another few hours again. So unless I'm actually hungry hungry (which happens twice a day, sometimes only once) I can't eat, or I'll throw it all up, and continue not being able to eat for another few hours. I'm 178cm tall and in the past few months I lost weight, going from 61 kg down to 53kg because of this and I really need help.

I have ulcerative colitis and for the past 3 months I've been having streaks of blood on the outside of the stool. Sometimes I wouldn't even notice it if I wasn't looking for it. Then I went through a period where I was having mucus on the outside of the stool as well. I also feel like the amount of times I go to the bathroom started to increase. My doctor thought I had a fissure so he had me take miralax for awhile. When my stool wasn't formed I couldn't see any blood but I'm not sure if there really was any or not. I've also started have stools that were thinner since January. Not every time but a lot. I started Rowasa enemas in the end of December which did seem to stop the mucus for the most part and the stomach aches but not the blood. About a week and half ago I called my doctor because I had two days in a row that I went to the bathroom ten times (for me this isn't normal) so he decided that I need to schedule a colonoscopy which I will have done in about two weeks. But since I've spoken with him i haven't had another day of ten times but still having thin stools and streaks of blood. Should I still have a colonoscopy? I just don't want to do it for nothing.....
