I am 22 years old. Five years ago, when I had to go through our national examinations to go to University, a problem appeared. I started farting at an unusual rate. I thought it was anxiety, so I did not visit a doctor asap. Instead, I waited for my examination period to end before I get an expert's opinion. I was then given some pills. "Ibutin" and "Silicates" are the ones I remember after all those years. I think I've taken other medication as well, but unfortunately I don't remember their names. Nothing helped. In addition, when the air does not find a way out from "the bottom side", it goes up and gets out from the mouth (aka burping). Over the years I've managed to somehow control it, but it still is painful. Most doctors say it's actually Irritable Bowel Syndrome, which is magnified by anxiety.Or anxiety which CAUSED the IBS.

I'm 31, male, and up until monday i hadn't had the urge to poop. Finally when it came on monday night it was much to big and was hurting very badly when trying to push it out.
Since then i have tried everything. Suppositories, stool softener in pill form, miralax, and now my anus is extremely sore and hurts and im getting stomach pain and it hurts to sit down because of all the pressure in my colon.
I also did try using a medical glove and vaseline and breaking it apart. Got some out but it's still in there.
At this point i don't know what else there is to do. Should i go to the er? I'm feeling that's the only option left.

For over two years she has been experiencing an excessive amount of flatulence. She works at a baking company and gets harassed because of her farting problems. She gets called stinky and other names pretty much by everyone at work on a daily basis and I feel completely depressed because I can't do anything to help her. I feel angry at these people because my mother doesn't even speak much English and I am disappointed that people would do this to my powerless mother. She is single and have been battling to work everyday to make money for us. I have tried taking her to family doctors but no one has found a cure to this type of disease yet, and we have been changing doctors. She refuses to eat anything now in fear that she's going to fart again at work. Please help me I am desperate, I fear that one day my mother will leave us to commit suicide because of the bullying she receives at work. It is sad to me because my mother is the greatest mother anyone could have. She doesn't want this and I want to help her stop the cruelty at work.
For further information about my mother, she is 47 years old. I took her to a Gastroenterologist before and I think he tried everything, but it never worked. The first doctor gave us all the gas medications to try out and none of them work. I also went as far as buying her flatulence underwear from UK and they were 100$ each from myshreddies.com. I brought her two of them for Christmas. It took them 3 months to deliver it, and they don't even work. We switched doctors several times in hopes of finding a miracle..... Please help my mother, she deserves this. She really is a great mother. If there are anyone out there that could give me some tips to help her with her farting problem I will be forever in your debt. You will save a life Because at this point my mother is so embarrassed that she would do anything at all in order to stop farting. Almost everyday she comes home crying to my grandma about work and we are powerless to help her. Once I heard her say "I'd rather die than keep farting like this and letting them make fun of me. Im 22 and have suffered from severe constipation since puberty. I've been to doctors and tried metamucil, coloxyl, movicol, oral laxatives etc etc etc i have a high fibre diet, I'm active and i drink enough water. my constipation comes with the typical bloating and pain but also a feeling as though I am trying to digest hundreds of little needles. The only thing i have found to offer some reprieve is dulcolax suppositories. As unpleasant as they are they do soften enough so I can pass the initial blockage but nothing else. my first doctor refused to believe me until he sent me for an X-ray and seen that I was blocked up the wazoo. My second doctor handed me a referral to a dietician even tho I wanted to see a gastro specialist. I'm aware I'll have to see a specialist in the near future I was just wondering if anyone else has/is experiencing the same problem. when I say sever constipation I'm talking 3 weeks usually before I start to lose my marbles and opt for a suppository.

Am I the only person that can't fully break wind unless I'm sitting on a Toilet?
I'll get horrible Gut Cramps and feel like I've definitely got to fart and then even if I DO fart it's not enough and the pressure just keeps building till I sit on a Toilet and fart hard enough that it hurts. Sometimes I'll be in there for several minutes just farting and it feels like razors are slicing me open.
I know that I've got significant prolapsing Internal Hemorrhoids that I'm going to take care of in the near future. I'm wondering if they are large enough now that the only way anything can really leave my rectum is if they are already out. I know it's getting harder and harder to shove them back inside.
I'm also thinking that the razor pain could be from fissures but don't fissures bleed? All I ever do sometimes is spot on the Toilet Paper. Like there will be a few dabs of blood not like a streak or anything and none on the stool or in the toilet bowl.
The Doctors have also diagnosed me with IBS but I've never heard of this happening with somebody that has IBS. Even with me, I take Laxatives at night so I can go during the day. If I can have Bowel Movements why can't I just fart like a normal person and why does it have to hurt?

The problem starts 6 years ago and it was accompanied with severe gastric problem. The problem with my gastric is better after taking H-pylori. But I feel severe pain if I eat beans specifically lentil and drink any fraction of alcohol. I also made check up for ulcer through endoscopy and the result indicates that I don’t have any ulcer in my gastric.
This time I am feeling more tired and weak throughout the day. I am also having the feeling to go to the toilet frequently but most of the time nothing is going out except farting.

For the past month I've experienced stomach problems. It started with diarrhea and severe cramps that caused bleeding(I'm assuming hemorrhoids). So I went to the hospital and they said they think it's diverticulitis but never got back to me but sent me home with antibiotics. Its been a few weeks and the pain is awful and it is effecting my life and work. It happens whenever I eat or lift things. I can't sleep right now because the pain. Luckily I only have diarrhea sometimes now but still I feel weak and the stomach pain is too much.

Hi friends, I am taking metformin 500mg at bedtime from 11 days for type 2 diabetes, although my aic is 5.8 but on strip and lab test I was getting like 140 mg/dl (7.76 mmol/l) so my doc suggested this along with norvasc 10mg and zocor 10 mg for BP and lipids.
Long story short after taking for 11 days, my appetite vanished and I started feeling that my stomach is distended, and gases are blocked and severely constipated may due to small portion I was eating, almost half of my 1900 calories requirement. I have stopped metformin 500 mg from yesterday night, because the lack of appetite, nausea, gas block, severe constipation were making sick. Does stopping metformin would create any problem? I have tested glucose level at home gadget and its not bad morning fasting 118 mg dl and after moderate breakfast it was 140 after one hour. Still discontinuation after 36 hrs I feel bitter taste and slightly distended stomach but little gas out. Further I am also scared if this is not lactic acidosis ie severe nausea and little palpitation (may be due to anxiety)
let me add further, just checked my random (two hour after meal ) and its saying 245 mg/dl so I immediately took one tab of 500mg

so I've had an ongoing stomach problem caused by a bug for a few months earlier in the year which now with the right treatment seems to be going/gone.
however the tablets I take have caused me to be severely constipated.
i'm 26, have never suffered with constipation, or piles for that matter but for the last 6 months - 1 year I have had an itchy bottom.
basically when I went to the toilet 3 days ago I was pushing too hard to pass a stool. Afterwards when I wiped I noticed some bright red blood in the tissue.
i went to see my doctor yesterday who said it's probably piles, hasn't given me anything for it except some high fibre drinks to help with the constipation.
i'm worried now that with the previous stomach problems it's something to do with that. My dr never examined me. But Surely I would have pain if a pile had popped and I don't have my, there's also nothing around my anus so I'm presuming they must be inside

I have had IBS for 20 years, and have been treating it with fiber therapy pretty successfully. In the last few months, i've had some odd bowel movements. the first one i noticed was long and thin and tough, like an elastic. i thought tapeworm, but my stool tested negative for worms. i can't explain it, but after wiping and checking it flings itself off the toilet paper a fair distance. I'm afraid to ask my doctor because he scoffed at me when i told him that i thought i had worms. i had a colonoscopy for my 50th birthday in august and everything checked out. Any idea as to what's happening?

I'm experiencing some pretty intense abdominal pain and cramping. It began on Sunday, I woke up to these intense cramps (which I can only compare to what I assume contractions feel like), they are bad enough to make me stop whatever I'm doing and have to keel over. They last maybe 30 seconds and they go away. Yesterday, I woke up with the cold sweats, I was clammy, a fever, body aches, still had those cramps, I had pretty bad diarrhea, although I felt like I wasn't...getting it all out. I also don't have much of an appetite.
Is it possible to have diarrhea and constipation at the same time? It's also worth mentioning that a few weeks ago, I decided to continue taking my birth control rather than stopping for the week to get my period, so that I would not have it on a trip I was going on. Could that affect my body this way?
Today I'm feeling a little better, still getting the cramps, I'm trying to drink as much water as possible. I still have diarrhea every time I go to the bathroom, but still I get the sensation that I'm not getting everything out of there. I'm not as clammy and sweaty as yesterday, but I still am a little bit. No body aches though.
