Bladder Is Falling After Cystocele Surgery - Colpocleisis And MiniArc Sling
Jan 23, 2016
i was never told not to squat, and so I bent my knees when picking up something from the floor...because I was told not to bend. Do you think that is why my bladder is coming down? I had a Colpocleisis and MiniArc Sling Placement. The only instruction I was given was not to lift over 5 pounds, no bending, no baths, no pulling or pushing for 3 months. That was all! I wonder if bending my knees when picking up items I dropped on the floor was considered squatting...and that's why my bladder fell.

I had the bladder sling done and hysterectomy this past june. The doctor told me he did pull the sling tight since I am just 41. I keep having bladder infections every couples weeks or months. What the heck. I don't have insurance now. The scientific method was used on me (sling). I am scared , don't wanna have no more surgeries. Gotta go see the doc tomorrow or Thursday.

Anyone have a cystocele (prolapsed bladder) and still have intercourse? My husband passed away two years ago and I have been attracted to someone. My husband and I had no problems, but I am concerned about the size of the penis perhaps causing problems. I have had the cystocele repaired once but it occurred again. Has not caused any problems so far, however I have not had sex since my husband passed away.

I had a cystocele 3 1/2 weeks ago. It seemed I was healing well with some mild tenderness in the lower abdomen. Which I felt was normal. But a little over a week ago I suddenly began to experience excruciating (level 8-10) pain in my right hip area. The surgeon said it is the tendon/ligament (?) where the sling was attached to that is hurting so bad. Has anyone else experienced this after cystocele surgery? And if so, how long did it last?

I have rectal & vagina vault prolapse - Rectocele & Cystocele( lower 1/3rd) and sex is quite painful and difficult. I have 3 choices at the moment ;
1/ do nothing until the prolapse gets much worst but this means having uncomfortable & sometimes painful sex ..I am coping with bladder & bowel problems with kegal exercises but hate the look and feeling of it down there.
2nd... try a pressery? If I pressary works my Gyna would preform a much simple perinuem repair to fix the tight skin problem. This still involves stiches so I wonder if pressary is the way to go and I have heard that can affect sex too? or have the surgery. I had huge cuts to deliver my first child as she was stuck in my birth channel and then they figure I didn't had the width to deliver here???!!!. So many stiches and at least 2 further opreations to try and correct the terrible job the first surgeon had done on me. I have literally a thin area of skin in my perinium that is only about a 1 cm wide which is treched so tightly it hurts when touched. Sex has been uncomfortable for the past 30 years and several positions are out of the question. As I have grown older 58 now and the symptoms of menopause have raised their ugly heads. This area has lost its elasticity and has become hard and very taut.
3/ Do the surgery for the rectocelle & cystocele .. I really worry especially after reading this forum that it won't fix the problem and could make it heaps worst.
Does anyone have any stats on % of successful operations? This site is full of bad experiences.

Three months ago I had a Cystocele and hysterocele surgery, It was done by a good dr here in Spain, he promised everything was going to be fine and the sick leave was of 40 days. The surgery was through the vagina, he removed the uterus, left the ovaries and lifted the bladder with a "net". I was happy the following day: no pain, no feeling something was dropping out from my vagina... I had repose for one month and a half, then I Started to have stings inside, I came back to dr and told me I refused the stitches, he had to cauterize. Now the stings have gone but for one month I have felt the same sensations I had before the surgery! It's like someone were pulling from my top of the deep vagina, I feel again something dropping and feel as if I had something inside the vagina. My dr said everything is ok, nothing out of normal. Then I started to visit a pelvic floor physiotherapist last week and said that everything is ok the net is being absorbed by my vaginal tissues, but I'm still healing, the scars inside are tight and my pelvic floor is too weak. Besides she has found out that I have a little rectocele! And my gyne didn't tell me anything about that! I am so sad, I can't stop crying, too worried... I have not tried sex yet... I feel sad about my kid and my husband cos I am all day obsessed with this and I don't feel like going out... I used to be a sportive person but I am not anymore... By the way, I began work three weeks ago and feel too weak and depressed, Very hard for me get up in the morning, I went yesterday to the social security dr who is the dr that gives you the sick leaves and she prescribed tranquilizer and told me I can work. I feel I can't go on with my life... I feel that I'm starting depression, I know that if I felt a bit better I would cheer up but I feel worse. Please anyone can help me with any piece of advice? Will I ever be happy?

two years ago I had a partial hysterectomy and 10 days post op I had to have a vaginal cuff repair and 5 units of blood. Two weeks after that I started having issues with my bladder and not being able to void without using a straight cath. I then had my bladder stuck on my bowel and had to have surgery. Now here I am having the exact same pain that I had prior to the bladder/bowel surgery, and my gyn says it is just cysts on my ovaries.

I had a prolapsed cervix and bladder a year after my hysterectomy. It is now going on two years post surgery. I am still having stitches break thru at the top of my vagina where my cervix was removed. It hurts! I'm going to the Doctor Monday, but very scared. I have moved and this will be the first time seeing him. Do any of you know what I will have to look forward too? What might he do?

I have a rectocele and I am getting it repaired next month. When I saw the surgeon she said I also had some stress incontinence based on the urodynamics study that she did. I know I do, but it isn't bad. Sometimes a drop when I sneeze but it's not awful. She said it might get worse after the rectocele repair and suggested a mid-urethral sling. It is made of a synthetic mesh.
Any suggestions on resources for information about this procedure? Right now I don't feel like the symptoms are bad enough to risk side effects but I don't have enough information to decide.

Four weeks back I fell with my bike and seemed to hit my heel to the ground. I stil cant put much pressure on it, I can walk on my heel but I can feel the pain. It's better than 4 weeks back but not all good. Is there maybe something I can do to speed up recovery? When I press on my heel from the bottom there is not pain but on the sides an back of the calcaneus there is a lot of pain when I press, it's all around the edges of the calcaneus.

About two days ago I had a pretty hard fall where I caught myself with my hands. My hands were completely fine with the exception of my middle finger. The tip felt very sensitive almost like it was raw. Even the most gentle touch bothered it. I thought maybe there was a splinter in it, but no. The skin wasn't broken. Today the fingertip pain is gone, but is replaced by a tender bump that is in the dead center of the top joint right beneath my finger tip. It is very faintly blue also where the knot it. Never experienced this before. Anyone have an idea what it is?

I am not pregnant and I am still single. I am going to be 22 years old this year. I have some nightmare dreams. I am going to tell you one. In this dream I was climbing on a building at first. Then a guy pushed me from behind and I started to fall. I can feel myself falling even though I am on my own bed. Most of the time I am dreaming of me singing on the stage. Other times I become one of the characters in my dream and at the end I get killed. Or I dream nothing at all. What does this mean? Am I seeing the future or Is it just my dreams have gone wild?

I am a 65 year old female with a grade 3 or 4 cystocele. In the past few days I am having extreme difficulty emptying my bladder. I am freaking out because the issue of surgery rears its ugly head. I do not want surgery in as much as the failure rate if as high as 50% and I would never have mesh because of the ugly hideous complications of using it. Does anybody with this problem have any other ideas? I may try a pessary. I was wondering if there are ways of emptying ones bladder by utilizing certain positions to facilitate urination ( like standing for example). I have had this cystocele for 10 years but not it has obviously gotten worse.

I am 7 weeks along and experiencing insomnia, I'm having a very hard time falling asleep and when I do rest I wake up about once an hour, is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I'm curious if anyone else experiences this. Just as I cross the line from being awake to falling asleep, it seems like my body just forgets to breathe. I jolt myself awake and just get right back to sleeping. I don't notice it every night but sometimes it happens a few times before I'm fully asleep.
I'm otherwise a healthy 32 year old male. I go to the gym multiple times a week and don't have any other major health issues other than occasional teeth-grinding at night. I don't snore heavily and I typically wake up rested when I do get to sleep early enough.

I am a 14 year old male and for the past 1-2 weeks, i have been experiencing strange feelings suddenly after falling asleep. Most of the time (In regards to religion) devilish. It started one night when I suddenly go to sleep and feel a rush go up my body, then a tap on my left knee. I disregarded it thinking i was just about to have a nightmare. About 5 minutes after that, i go to sleep again and feel another sudden rush up my body and a tap on my right bicep. This time i heard a slurred voice (I cannot recall what it said but i do believe there was laughing.) I finally got sleep and told my mom the next morning. These things had not happened again until 4-5 days later when I went to sleep and i get a sudden rush up my body but instead of a tap, I have no control over my body. After 30 seconds of not being able to move myself (Note, this was not sleep paralysis because I gained control over my body.) I regain control but then I feel another sudden rush through my body and a tap on my left leg again with another slurred voice. I want to know what is going on with me, am I being possessed? Or am I just hallucinating? I want to know your guys's thoughts and what I should do.

My dad has been struggling with on and off slurring speech, lack of coordination (which is getting worse) he falls over if he gets up too fast or turns too quickly and feel dizzy. And his speech is slurred.
Some days his speech can be fine, one day for an hour it will be ok, the next terrible, where you can't understand him, then in the next couple of hour it can go back to normal.

This is driving me crazy for the last year! Most nights I don't get a lot of sleep so I am often overtired. When I am about to fall asleep I will have lots of sudden episodes of rapid nonsensical utterances. My husband calls them AbbaDabbaDoo episodes, lol. The sounds are always different and often very loud. Sometimes I will even yell out. This all happens before I start to fall asleep or even feel I am drifting off. Often I am awake reading, on the computer or watching TV. Even when absorbed in a fast hockey game I can emit these sounds. There is no denying I am awake but, I am still tired. I was tested for Myoclonic Epilepsy but, it was negative. I do have Sleep Apnea and use C-Pap. I also have Myoclonus mostly with leg jerking but sometimes worse. The sudden blurting out episodes often co-inside with the leg jerks. Has anyone ever had this or even heard of it. I can get no answers from my ENT or Neurologist. I don't know where to go next in trying to get an answer. Is this just merely another version of sleep starts?
