View 2 RepliesI want to use lemon juice to lose weight,so I was wondering if that will interfere with the birth control pills that I'm currently taking?
View 1 RepliesI'm 17 and I've been on birth control for an entire year. I've tried every type of birth control but me and my boyfriend have always used condoms. On September 18, the second day of my period, I had implanon inserted. We still used condoms for two weeks to be safe. We just started having unprotected sex. I've done the research and stuff but I could use some reassurance as to how effective it is. Have any of you been pregnant on it? I'm just a little unsure as to how good it is because I'm 17 and really am NOT ready for a baby. Also my period is expected October 16-ish, I'm not overweight and my rod implant was inserted correctly if this helps.
View 2 RepliesI would like to know if taking birth control pill and whitening pills is safe.. or make the bcp less effective.
View 1 RepliesI'm 15 years old, and have been prescribed NuvaRing as birth control. I have been on the ring since June 2013. My usage has been perfectly consistent, until last month when I took the ring out during sex and never put it back in. Unfortunately I didn't remember until almost a week later, when I got my period.
I would have immediately put a new ring in during my period, and used backup protection for the following seven days, per the NuvaRing pamphlet, but I couldn't get my prescription refill until today, and my period is long gone.
Obviously the only option is to restart my whole cycle with the ring, like i'm using it again for the first* time. The issue with that is my period. It is extremely irregular-- one time I didn't get my period for six whole months! (That was before I was sexually active, so I knew I wasn't pregnant).
So since my period just ended a couple weeks ago, it could be months until I get my next one and am able to put the ring in on the first day like the pamphlet says to. And that whole time, I'd be unprotected.
Would it be okay to just put the ring in now, and not expect it to be effective for a certain period of time?
Because waiting two weeks for it to be effective since I didn't put it in during my period would beat waiting possibly months until my period for it to be immediately effective.
Sorry for the long explanation.. I guess you deserve a summary. I more than likely won't get my period for a while. The ring has been out for a month or so. Can I insert a new ring while I am not on my period? Would that be at all effective?
I was supposed to start my new pack at 6 pm on Sunday. It is now 730 am on Tuesday.

View 1 RepliesI've never been on birth control pills before and I just started taking them 4 days ago. I wanted to know if I can change the time I take it from 12:30 pm to like 7 or 8 at night? 12:30 just isn't too convenient for me anymore.
View 1 RepliesI forgot to take the pill tuesday and wednesday on the third week of my pack, and then took all 3 on thursday. I started spotting on thursday friday and saturday. I am not having sex so i am not at risk of getting pregnant. Should i still finish my packet till sunday and start a completely new pack? or can i just continue on and finish this packet?

View 1 RepliesI've had a lot of breakthrough bleeding the last few weeks and am looking into changing my pill. However I'm going to a spa weekend this weekend and read online that to help with break through bleeding you can take two pills on one day and then carry on as normal. I have done this and hope to carry on with my normal pack tomorrow however all day I have felt very nauseous and have had a dodgy tummy constantly on the toilet. Is this because of the extra hormones my body isn't taking it very well? I did take them on an empty stomach stupidly as it was early and I didn't really think. Just worried I'm going to be really ill.
View 1 RepliesI am currently taking Trinessa and I missed two pills in my second week (light blue) and I caught up & took two the next day but after that I started spotting then I started my period. I've been taking one pill a day since then. I was wondering when will the bleeding end? And what should I do with the pills now?

View 2 RepliesI would like some help (Because deciding whether or not I will take Plan B pill) Anyways. I have been on birth control for about almost 2 years now. I have always been good about it, but I have been stressed this month so I messed up a bit. First I missed it on the very first white pill that you start (I didn't double up, I took regularly) then I missed it this week once (the third week pills) which was a few days ago (again I didn't double up, I just took regularly after) then today I had unprotected sex. I have plan b and am contemplating on taking it in order to be safe. My questions are:
If I didn't take the Plan b, would I be okay?
If I do take the plan B, will it make me super sick? and should I take my birth control regular since I have took Plan B?
i am sexual active and last time i was active was feb. 14,2014 unprotected and before that it was feb.4,2014 unprotected also and my last period was january 22 ,2014 and i'm on birth control pills but i missed so many this month and my period is late. i took a pregnancy test today and it was negative. could it be me not taking the pills that is causing my period to be late?
View 1 RepliesI've been on dinette for my acne and bcp for 5 months now. Although last last week I've only stopped my antibiotic(lymecycline) . I was then on my 7 days break after I had unprotected sex today, which is the 6th day of taking new pack of pills. Is it possible I'm pregnant?
View 1 RepliesAbout a month into my first shot of Depo I began to bleed. After about 10 days of it I went to the doctor and they gave me estrogen pills to take for 10 days. They slowed down the bleeding, but didn't stop it. After I was done with the pills, the bleeding became heavier and I started getting really bad cramps. I went back in yesterday and they gave me Birth control pills to try to regulate it. It's been 2 days, but the bleeding and cramps are still there. it's just really bringing me down. I use to have a really active lifestyle, but all I want to do now is just stay home in bed. I've also lost about 4 lbs since the bleeding started. It has totally killed my sex life as well. My partner wants to have sex and so do I but the bleeding is just too embarrassing that I'd rather just make up some excuse to not do it. I don't know what else to try.
View 1 RepliesI delayed taking 2 birth control pills in a row (the first delay was of 11 hours and the second of 7 hours). Worried that the efficacy was compromised, I took a morning after pill 30 hours after unprotected intercourse. I continued taking my pills normally. Now, a week after taking the ECP I had a light bleeding. I know it is common, but I thought I wouldn't have it because I am on the pills. So, can I still bleed from the ECP withdrawal even taking birth-control pills? Or is it an implantation bleeding?
View 1 RepliesI have been taking Birth control pills for 7 days now. Today my boyfriend and I had sex without a condom and he came inside of me. Since I haven't been on birth control for very long should I take Plan B? I was told by my doctor that it will be fine to have sex with no condom after 7 days of taking the pill, but I was reading that sometimes it takes more than 7 days for the pull to fully kick-in.
