I have always had problems with spotting on the pill, but never like this. I am on the nuvaring and have been for about a year. I have been trying to go 3 month continuously, and have always had spotting. However, last time it worked perfectly! I went through 3 rings with no spotting. I then got my period and began spotting just 3 days after my period had ending. the spotting has since turned into constant bleeding and clotting. I have contacted my doctor and they said to just go about my normal routine and see if it ends. however, it's been 1.5 months! Is my body doing this because I just can't skip cycles? And how protected am I now that I have this constant bleeding?

I started Nuvaring in August, on the first day of my period as instructed, I continued to bleed for the week, then it got lighter and continued for the week after that. I took it out after three weeks, had my "period" but did not continue Nuvaring as I had no need for birth control. I started again two weeks ago, on the first day of my period again, and have been bleeding since, though it has gotten lighter.
I'm to take it out this coming Monday, but I'm wondering if it would be safe to just replace the ring, and if that would help stop the bleeding that I have right now.

so I had sex 2 days ago for the first time. it was more painful than it was enjoyable, but his package was rather large. we used a condom without any lubricant, and an hour after intercourse, I bled. it was more than spotting, but not the amount you would get while on your period. it's been 2 days and I'm still bleeding the same amount, and it's still aching. I checked with a mirror to see if anything thing was wrong, and right on the inside of my vagina, it's a bluish color. does that mean somethings really wrong? I don't know if I should be bleeding this long either. I'm slightly worried and don't want any crazy diseases or infections happening inside me that I don't know about.

During a recent bowel operation the surgeon noticed that my mirena IUD was perforating my uterus.
He took pictures and phoned a gynaecologist during the operation to see if he should repair it. She advised him not to and to tell me to visit a gyny when feeling able to. I had experienced pinching and soreness on the right side prior to the bowel operation but a cause had not been found until the perforation had been noticed by the surgeon. I still feel this pain/pinching.
I have an appointment with a gyny in a few weeks and have requested my medical records showing the perforated uterus from the hospital. Everything is moving slowly (cannot get a quicker appointment and it takes weeks to get the medical records from the hospital).
My concern is whether I am at risk of an organ perforation while I'm waiting for this appointment? Should I be going to A&E?

This is my third month on Microgynon 30, and I ran two packets back to back because of a party I was going to, but a few days after I started taking the second pack I had some slight bleeding. I didn't think anything of it because I was told this can happen for a few days. It's a few weeks later now and it's still happening. It's only very light bleeding (it does vary a bit, sometimes there's nothing, but it's never been enough to have to wear a pad). I think I've learnt my lesson that my body just doesn't accept two back-to-back so I probably won't do it again, I just wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about!
Apart from this everything has worked fine for me on it so I really don't want to swap to another pill!

My doctor has me on the nuvaring to skip periods altogether. I was having 2-3 of them a month. For the first 4 month of the nuvaring it was a godsend. Zero periods to speak of, and finally I had a sense of freedom. The pill didn't he'll regulate them at all and this was the first time I felt comfortable just leaving my house. Last month I had some breakthrough bleeding, which I was expecting, I had read then happened, but now I'm on my FOURTH week of a period that just won't stop!! Some days it's bright red, some days brown and clotty. Some days its very light and not very noticeable but he cramps are ever present!! It started halfway through the end of one ring and now we are 1 week away from the next new ring.

I had the Nexplanon put in Dec.2015. Everything's been great except for the fact that EVERY TIME I have sex with my partner of 10 years I end up bleeding. It never fails. Sometimes it lasts a day sometimes a few days there's never any knowing. I have an appt with my GYN to find some answers but I'm update on all my paps which have always been normal and no STDs. I figured before my appointment Id see if anyone else has this problem or had and does it ever go away?

I've had the Nexplanon implant for about 2 months. So far the only issue I've experienced is some light bleeding. It's not a lot, more of a nuisance than anything. The kind where it's not enough for a tampon. I've heard bleeding can go on for months. My question is...should I wait it out and it out and see if it passes or call my Dr? It is a listed side effect, but it's been 2 weeks.

I started birth control pills almost three months ago. As soon as I started taking them I bled and bled for the whole time I was on them, so almost three months. I recently decided in the middle of my third pack that I would stop taking them and get off of the pill. I am still bleeding two days after but it is heavier than the usual bleed I had on the pill. Is this my period starting? If not how long will the bleeding last until it stops?

I'm on my 2nd Mirena coil. I had my 1st one placed 5 years ago. I had a solid 6 month period widen my first was placed and have not had one since. My 2nd one was placed a little less than a year ago. I didn't even spot.
Today out of nowhere with no warnings, I started bleeding rather heavy and it's bright red. It's nothing like my cycles were prior to Mirena.
I did take a pregnancy test and ruled that out.

I've had the implanon for about a year and a half now. When it was first put in, my periods occurred every few months or so and when they did appear, they were very light with mild to moderate cramps. In the past 10 months or so, I find myself on my period for 1-2 months at a time. I experience moderate to severe cramps, headaches, bloating, lower back pain, and restlessness. Typically, I only have about 2 weeks interval until I'm bleeding again. I was just curious as to if anyone else has had the implanon and experienced the same problems. I want to just ride out the year, year and a half until it needs to be taken out but not if I'm going to continuously be miserable.

Okay so I was on the depo shot since feb. Of last year (2013). I've been getting it every three months. Well I was suppose to get it on feb. 28 but I decided to stop. I was bleeding lightly before I was suppose to get the shot. After the day I didn't get it my period got heavier and now it hasn't stop. Is it normal or should I be concerned?

Okay so I'm 20 years old and been on depo for 5 years. I'll usually start spotting a bit a couple days before my next shot is due, I think they said that's normal because it's wearing off. Well my next shot isn't due for about 17 days and I bled a little the other day but it stopped right away. Well today I went to use the bathroom and it looked like I was on my period baaaad (ruined my white VS undies too ) so any ideas of why this is or what I should do?

I had my implanon removed the beginning of October and immediately started taking the pill. I have now been non stop bleeding for 16 days. Should this be happening even while taking the pill? I would think the bleeding would be stopping or at least slowing down at this point, but it's not!

This month I bled on the first day of the pack and it stopped, I am now on day 4 and started bleeding again, is this normal?
