View 1 RepliesI am 19 years old and have been with my boyfriend for nearly three years now. I am also dealing with some MASSIVE anxiety issues and really cannot have a child right now. Because I know this, my boyfriend and I are always extremely careful to use a condom in addition to me taking my birth control pill every day at a consistent time.
When I was 16 and became sexually active, I started Loestrin 24/Fe. This pill worked extremely well for me. However it has been discontinued and my doctor put me on Microgestin 1/20 Fe. I was on Microgestin 1/20 Fe for one cycle, and she then put me on Gildess 1/20 Fe. I have been told by my pharmacist and doctors that Loestrin 24/Fe, Microgestin 1/20 Fe, and Gildess 1/20 Fe all have the same ingredients and hormones. So I was not expecting any problems.
When I started Gildess 1/20 Fe, I randomly got my period very early on in the cycle when I was not supposed to. This obviously concerned me. I talked to my doctor and continued taking the pills and got my period again when I was supposed to. I also took two pregnancy tests just to be sure (they came back negative obviously).
So I started my next pack of Gildess 1/20 Fe. This is only my second pack of Gildess 1/20 Fe and I am about a week in. On the last week of my FIRST pack of Gildess 1/20 Fe (the placebo pill week), my boyfriend and I had intercourse (this occurred about a week ago). However we ALWAYS use a condom without fail as a backup method in addition to me taking my birth control pills and from what I can tell, we use to the condom correctly to our very best ability. He typically puts the condom on himself but I also try to make sure he puts it on correctly, and that it has not broken, etc.
However, two nights ago I noticed my breasts felt sore and now I am completely freaking out. I have experienced breast soreness before but this is really scaring me because of the problems I experienced with my period on my first month of Gildess and because this is a new pill to me in general. I know that breast tenderness is sometimes an early pregnancy symptom. I grew so comfortable with Loesterin 24/Fe and now I feel so scared all the time that I may be pregnant.
I take my birth control as consistently as possible. It's one of the very first things I do when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I worry though because I wake up later on the weekends than I do on the weekdays and I know it's also very important to take your pill at the same time everyday :/
I am honestly so scared all the time that I may be pregnant because I really cannot handle that right now. So I am wondering, if I take my birth control pills as consistently as I can and use a condom every time I have sex, what are my chances of getting pregnant? From what I can tell and research I have done I am being almost as safe as I possibly can without abstaining from sex altogether. But still, I have this constant nagging fear, especially since I am experiencing the breast tenderness. But I have also read that breast soreness is a side effect of some birth control pills, especially when you start a new one. Should I be scared? I just don't know if I have reason to be scared, or if it's my anxiety kicking in, or if I should possibly talk to my doctor about being put on a different birth control pill, or what
I am just so worried that maybe something went wrong with both the pill and the condom. Like what if my pill wasn't effective because I do not take it at the EXACT same time every single day (although I take it as close to the same time as I can and I try really really hard, it's just that sometimes my schedule varies because I wake up at different times for class, appointments, etc) and something happened to the condom, like it got snagged or we didn't check it properly or what not. Ugh I don't know, I'm just really really scared and I do not like it
it's been 1 month and 1 weeks since i had my baby i went Dr on my 1 month check up for birth control started taking Viorele birth control 2 days after Dr checkup and I took 2 pills on tuesday afternoon since I missed Monday continued taking 1 pill at 7am for Wednesday ,Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday had unprotected sex Sunday afternoon and took the pill in the morning at 7 am can it protected me from being pregnant or not.

View 2 RepliesI have had nexplanon since July 2012 as soon as I got it inserted my menstrual cycle completely went away. I had no cramping, or symptoms what so ever. I never have had to purchase feminine products as well. My nexplanon is coming up on its expiration date July 2016. Five weeks ago I started spotting and by the end of the week I was on an actual period. It will not go away I'm going on my sixth week. It's not easing away at all. I get an occasional cramping but nothing like before. I told my doctor and she mentioned to take at home pregnancy test but it came back negative. I'm not sure why she would have me What can I do for my cycle to end? Is my birth control still effective? Is this normal?
View 1 RepliesI'm 18 and have 6 weeks left of my implanon before I have to get it changed. I'm fatigue , sore nipples for the past week, sharp pain in the left lower side of abdomen especially when I sit down and have put on a lot of weight and a slight appetite loss. My periods are irregular I could have it for one day then 2 weeks later I'll have it for 8 days and not have a period for weeks. Also get headaches a lot. I heard that you could take pregnancy tests and they come out negative when you are pregnant? I wonder what pregnancy symptoms are on the implanon..
View 1 RepliesI have had the implanon since January 2011.
I recently have been feeling some symptoms that could be considered pregnancy symptoms, such as breast tenderness, cramps and feeling more emotional than usual. These have been going on now for almost 2 weeks.
I was just wondering if it is possible for me to be pregnant? I would normally ask my GP but they always just assume if you have the implant you aren't.
I last had sex 4 weeks ago, would signs of pregnancy show this soon, or am I just worrying over nothing?
I haven't had a period since July last year except one random in June this year, so I can't even use that to tell.
I took a pregnancy test on tuesday and they came out negative but it wasn't a two weeks after we had sex. I still took my birth control but it wasn't always on time. I stopped taking it last night and now I feel so different and im having sickness/constipation and my breasts are tender and you can see my veins. I've been noticing my sleeping patterns have changed too and even when i sleep for a long time im still tired. What does this mean? Should i take another test? Do you think im pregnant? It has now been two weeks and plus two days since the last time i had sex.
View 2 RepliesI am a twenty five years old pregnant woman. I found out that I am pregnant only few days ago. But now there is a problem. I have cystic fibrosis. This concerns me very much. I heard that women with this kind of illness have small chances for a long life after giving birth. Is this true? Also I am very worried about my baby. Will there be any problems with it?
View 1 RepliesI consider myself to still be new to taking the pill as a form of birth control. Just when I think I have it figured out, something new would happen which would make me doubt it's effectiveness.
I am currently using Chateal, which contains 21 active pills and 7 placebo pills. After 6 months of taking it as directed, I assume my body should be used to the side effects. I would get nausea from taking it so I switched to taking it at night. I have been taking it that way for 3 months now.
But I have noticed since first started taking it, I would get severe cramps and backaches during the second week of the pack for a few days. I assumed I was ovulating while on the pill because I noticed my cervical mucus changes throughout the month. My understanding though is the pill is to prevent ovulation thus preventing pregnancy.
Can you ovulate while on the pill? Is my birth control pill type too low of a dose for me? Could it be something else?
I have started on orlistat today. I took one with my breakfast (bran flakes and semi skimmed milk) I went to a buffet this afternoon so didn't take one at lunch time ( I had weight watchers soup). I had a small piece of quiche, some weight watchers crisps and a tomato at the do!
I'm about to take one before my dinner of pasta and veg in chopped tomatoes, followed by low fat yogurt. I have also had a couple of biscuits, I've written it all down and estimate I will have had about 30g of fat. It's made me really look at what fat is in what I am eating as I am worried about the famous side effects.
I read on another site that some recommend just taking the tablets with lunch and dinner until you know what you know what you doing regarding the amount of fat you are consuming - has anyone on here done that?
I have quite a lot of weight to lose so I'm hoping this will work for me. I've been "dieting" for thirty years and more - always losing it and then putting even more back on.
I've read about some inspirational weight loss on this site so I'm keeping my fingers crossed (and some toilet paper in my knickers just in case) that I will lose well too!!
Highly likely, possible, or possible but unlikely?.. getting pregnant 2 days after period ends from precum when cycle is every 28 days..
View 9 RepliesWhat are the chances of pre-ejaculate causing pregnancy? To be more specific; what are the CHANCES of wiping off precum and then fingering, getting a woman pregnant.
Sometimes, I get precum on my fingers when I'm aroused and then finger my girlfriend. I always wipe it off before I touch my girlfriend of course, usually on my bedsheets or a towel, and most of the time I urinate before hand, even all day before this happens.
Yes, I know precum CAN cause pregnancy. The answers I have gotten vary between "Next to impossible" to "Yeah most likely it will!".
I've been on birth control pill (Yasminelle to be exact) for more than a year. A few days ago I started a new pack. I took the first pill like normal. The same day I had sex with someone, without a condom but he didn't ejaculate. The next day I forgot to take my pill for a little longer than 12 hours and I took it as soon as I remembered and had access to it. The following day I took the pill at the normal time.
Reading the instructions for the pill, about forgetting to take it for longer than 12 hours during the first week of the new pack, it said that if there was sexual intercourse a few days before forgetting to take the pill, there's still a chance of pregnancy. I suppose that is, if there is ejaculation, which in my case, didn't happen. I know I probably shouldn't worry but I still wanted a second opinion.
I had extreme preeclampsia with my daughter 6 years ago, so I took precaution on this pregnancy. I was watching my diet and trying to take it easy. But yet it seems the condition had not eluded me. I thought it wouldn't be quite so scary this time, since I knew more about it, but I was wrong. I'm not sure if it is because it was caught so much earlier since we were watching for it, I'm only 31 1/2 weeks, or what. Today I did the 24 hr urine test and tomorrow we'll get the results and then we go from there. Other than the preeclampsia, baby and I are doing great, which is why I'm hoping for the best tomorrow.
