Okay, so I'm 13 years old and I have severe constipation problems. I have had them most of my life, actually. At times it is worse than others, like right now. In the past, I have seen gastroenterologists who just told me they didn't know what was causing my constipation and that I should just drink two glasses of juice a day with MiraLAX. It didn't really help.I have showed up at emergency rooms several times because of this and they always run a few tests, a scan and an x-ray, which always comes back normal, so they tell me to drink some of that gross lemon-fizzy stuff (you know what I'm talking about) and send me home. I have been taking laxatives because my mom tells me to, as well as fiber supplements, and mineral oil. Still very bad pain. The constipation started to get worse when I started taking an anti-anxiety medication, but I HAVE to take it because I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and the doctors tell me I have to take it. I have chest pain, and very other terrible anxiety symptoms, but it's the constipation that is currently the worst. I'm so worried I have Crohn's Disease, but my mom won't take me back to a doctor because I have already seen so many and they always tell me I'm fine. But being a hypochondriac with anxiety issues REALLY bad, I am afraid. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm scared that this problem will only get worse in the future and that it might lead to an early death. I'm afraid I have an underdiagnosed serious problem, even though everyone says it's because I have had an anxiety disorder most of my life.

I'm 21 year old female college student and have to get my feelings out there. Since someone very close to me was diagnosed with cancer almost 3 years ago I have developed severe undiagnosed health anxiety, and every time I bring up the fact that I have bad anxiety to my Dr. we kinda just laugh it off/it isn't taken seriously. I have had physical symptoms (constipation, headaches, heart palpitations, indigestion, difficulty focusing my eyes, neck pain, TMJ, fatigue, overall anxiety about everything, and i feel lightheaded when standing up too fast) and I'm here to ask if you think these symptoms are caused by my anxiety or an actual health issue. I always feel every little pain or "off" feeling in my body, and immediately attribute it to some sort of cancer or disease. I think seeing all of these stories on social media of sick people etc. hasn't helped. i've had blood work, a CAT scan of my digestive tract, a holter monitor twice, and an ECHO since these things have happened, and they've all said things were normal. I would really appreciate any input as this is causing real stress.

So I started a new job in December. It's an hour away and is a desk job, so for 10 hours (basically), I am sitting. I do stand when I can, but I don't have a desk that allows me to stay that way. I wish I had one, but they're too expensive for the work budget. Before this job, I was constantly walking around or standing at the very least.
About three weeks into this new job, there was one day where I felt horribly bloated and gassy. I was wearing a belt and felt like I needed to take it off and unbutton my pants immediately, but I couldn't until I went to my car. After that, I noticed I was constipated and gassy once I made it home.
I figured it was okay since that has happened before (but for only two days). Over the weeks, I realized that whenever I DID pass stool, it was flattened and very difficult unless my morning coffee was able to dislodge it. There has never been any blood or mucus. It has just been really hard to pass bowels over the last month. My stomach hurts a little after straining, but the frustrating thing is that I feel like I need to go sometimes and feel like I could pass a stool if I stood up and did it. That just isn't possible...
At any rate, I don't know what the problem is... I'm in my late 20s. I drink lots of water. My diet depends on my time...
Flat stool
Constipation
No blood
No mucus
Only felt bloated twice (including the initial bloating)
Stomach pain only after straining
No nausea

I am a female in my early 20s. I lead a very active lifestyle, drink water exclusively, and have a very healthy diet (no processes foods, lots of fruits and vegetables). However, I'll go days without a bowel movement. It's so uncomfortable that I can sometimes barely get my pants buttoned in the morning.

I am suffering from long term constipation. Everyday I have to move bowels at least 4-5 times a day. My bowels just won't empty in 1 go in morning. The stools I could not pass in one go then become harder. Now I got piles because of this. I try to eat 2 carrots per meal and an apple after meal. But the condition does not improve. I get immediate relief with a laxative - laxido. However I cannot use that forever. And when i leave the laxative, the constipation and piles returns in a week's time. Please has anyone seen such a case of constipation?

Because of a genetic illness, I'm chronic constipated. (for 3 years)
Probably because of a coordination issue in my bowels and reduced muscle strength.
I take Molaxole every day but it's not enough, I often have to take 8 Molaxole-doses in 6 hours to empty my bowels.
Is there something else that can help me have a good bowel movement?
Is there something that improves the movement of the muscle tissue in my bowel wall?

I am 22 years old and for about the past 6 months Ive been getting REALLY bloated/constipated the week before my and during my period and it just keeps getting worse and worse as the months go on. I have not had a bowel movement for a week now. My stomach is twice the size it normally is and I weigh seven more pounds than normal. It is so uncomfortable and it has gotten to the point where I am scared to eat or drink anything else because I just do not think it will fit in my stomach; I think I might literally throw up if I try. My stomach feels like it is going to explode
I've tried taking a laxative in the past but that didn't help much (possibly because I only took one does of it?) and yesterday I tried taking a diuretic. The diuretic also did not help. I've been eating fiber one cereal for the past 2 weeks because I though that may prevent it but it did not.
Has this happened to anyone else before? Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do for a long term fix? I was thinking maybe try eating activia or taking Metamucil?

I went to the doctor two days ago for what may have been one of the worst pains of my life, turns out I have an external haemorrhoid and the blood inside it has clotted. I was given scheriproct ointment which is removing some of the pain but hasn't reduced the hemorrhoids size yet. I really need to go to the bathroom (apologies for the tmi) but every time I try I get a blinding pain like something may tear or the hemorrhoid may burst. It's really uncomfortable now I haven't been to the bathroom in a week since this problem started. I'm aware of laxatives and stool softeners etc but stool softeners can only work so far down my colon, which doesn't really help me right now. My doctors surgery isn't open for another two days, is their anything I can do?

Me and my partner have had unprotected sex since we have been together, however this isn't a problem (so I Thought) because I have the implant and so far had it for 2 years .. I've never had a problem before but recently I haven't come on my period for two months, which I know is a side effect of the implant but i've always been regular with it anyway Hoyt I've been experiencing bloating, constipation, headaches, nausea gas sand and shortness of breathe, all of which I'm told are signs of pregnancy.
I did a wilkos own pregnancy test and it showed to be negative so why am I experiencing all these problems? Would it be best to try another one?
I've talked to my doctor and he believes there is no way of me being pregnant because of the implant however I've heard of people who have been pregnant while having it.
Im very confused and wondering if anyone could help? I'm also having my implant taken out on Monday!! Very undecided whether I wasn't that done now or not...... I don't have other signs like darker areolas or tender breasts however have had pains as though I was about to come on my period but I haven't and that was two days ago!

I am a 20 year old female who has been losing weight these past two months with the help of a South African weight loss company which specializes in healthy eating and life changes.
For the past two weeks the scale's numbers have increased rapidly without me changing any of my eating habits. I thought that my period might be the culprit, but the weight gain has persisted and my period is almost a month late.
During the past eight days I have experienced severe bloating (my stomach is three times as large as normal), excess gas, constipation, dull and aching abdominal pain and swelling around my vulva and vaginal entrance.
I am experiencing fatigue and my shoulders as well as legs feel stiff and painful. I drank something to help with the constipation but barely anything happened except for the fact that my body secreted a lot of mucus.
I went to the clinic to test my urine (I have a history of bad bladder infections - Was treated for it earlier this year). The test came back clean except for having high levels of protein in my urine. I do experience a burning sensation when I need to urinate.
I am currently trying to get a medical aid but it won't be activated before the first half of next month. I haven't had any other examinations done professionally except for blood tests 3 years ago. These showed that I have high levels of iron, was insulin resistant and that a few cysts were detected on my ovaries.
I would like to know what may be wrong with me and if there is anything I can do to relieve my symptoms until my medical aid can be used.
