May 8, 2015
Diagnos w/ Fybro myalgia, 2012.
NORCO-ADDICTION- MAKES ME FEEL INVINCIBLE
LYRICA-TURNING MY MIND INTO HAMBURGER , ATIVAN- WORKS GREAT-I WILL KEEP IT
I desire to get off the NORCO, LYRICA. and manage my fybro thru CHIRO, ACUPUNCTURE ,MASSAGE.
Did the herbs work with detox? Anyone else go this route after deciding to get off the mind altering drugs? I started detox today, I have only had 5, NORCO today! That's real big for me.. usually by now 8 hours into my day I'm on 10. Loving a chance at my life again without the drugs.

it has been several weeks now, although I did have 2.5mg 3 weeks ago as I had a severe panic attack and 1.25mg last Friday for the same reason. However, I only took diazepam for 8 weeks and no more than 2.5 mg per day. Apart from above 2 small, doses far apart, I have been off them for 7 weeks.
I have sinking feelings, cannot get anything together, weepy, and also have been diagnosed with Hemiplegic migraine. I am usually very together and was only, put on the pills due to TGA. I hope someone can just reassure me I am not going mad and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. So many of you have had worse than me.

I've only been on lyrica for 6 days now. Im finding the 75mg dose to strong 1 a day is what i am taking.I was wondering if the capsule can be split in half so i take half of that per day .then was wondering how long does it take to wean off completely if i decide to come off completely off the lyrica. And is it safe to take half of the 75mg has i've noticed that dose is not listed on the patient sheet etc.

I got to see my RA again this Friday , he decided that I am in pain because tramadol is not enough during the day. So he wants me to take Lyrica during the day. I have been and it might be helping 10 percent but makes me want sleep and makes it hard to think. I have even stuttered a few times. My husband is sick of it , I am suppose to be ready to intern this Wednesday ,everyday til December 12th . I barely can walk for a few minutes, before I do the 90 year old walk. My husband is taking me to a pain management clinic, to help me out of pain. I would love to be out of pain and normal, but lets face it I am not too excited on treating the pain and not the problem. I don't take medicine, until now and everything I try I have the low percent chance of the side effects. I DON'T want a pain clinic, but I want to be done with this misery.
Update from yesterday , I woke up and my rear felt as if I had fallen . It felt bruised , it's not. Then I noticed my underarms are sore too. My hubby says that I didn't fall. However, I have been found to up in the middle of the night cleaning, my husband putting me back to sleep. I don't recall any of it in the morning. What can I DO ?

If you are addicted to painkillers you can get off fluidly with no side effects by taking lyrica! I promise you, I don't give a damn what anyone tells you or what a dr tells you it works! I was taking 16 Norco 10 a day. Was scared of being out and suffered when I was out. I started by accident because I was out and haven't felt as good and focused. They last all day and I started with only 2 a day. I haven't been so happy in my life! Pain free also

Started on the above 10 days ago. First capsule i took i was asleep not long after, woke up feeling in a daze, doctor advised me to have one a day for few days. I have been taking two a day for 8 days. In this time, i have fell downstairs twice, developed a rash, past two days have had an intense pain above my right eye, not as bad as a migraine, but definitely more than a headache, im not due to see Dr until another two weeks.. Hopefully the side effects will go as time goes on. I am also taking sertaline with these, i must admit i feel more like a zombie than alive lol.

I've been taking pregabalin/Lyrica for roughly 5yrs at 300mg a day. Today I find out that my rheumatologist wants me to start on gabapentin as well as the pregabalin, starting on 300mg eventually getting up to 900 mg a day. Has anyone else taken both these meds and have they worked? What are your experiences?

does anyone take both Tegretol and Lyrica together for TN?
My Neurologist does not want me to take more Tegretol because it does not go well with the Warfarin i have to take for my artificial heart valve. He has suggested that if i get pain breakthroughs consistently i can add Lyrica. GP seems sceptical but i am sure that's what he said to me.
I dont think Lyrica alone would be a good idea as it seems to have a lot of nasty side effects.

I was prescribed Zoloft + Lyrica for my social anxiety/depression and was wondering if any of you guys has had any experience with one of them or both. but it would also be interesting to know your experience with other medication as well, so i know this is the right route to go to, i have gone to counselling and it hasn't helped so i thought i should go through the medication route.

I have been on 3 pills a day of norco 10/325, I want to slowly taper off. I need a plan that would be with no W/D's. I thought about starting a reduction of 1/2 a pill every week until I am free of the pills.
I also need to stop taking celexa, I am going to cut back 1/4 a week to iam off.
Will this work?
Or do I need to get suboxone and is that addicting.
Once off the pills, I don't know what I will do about my chronic pain.

I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) as part of MS. I must say it is the most painful condition that I have experienced. Worse than labor pain even, and frightening because you don't know how long it is going to last.
Well, I have finally found a solution to the problem! I recently started seeing a pain management specialist to discuss alternative treatment for treating MS-related pain. The doctor is extremely compassionate and easy to talk with about pain, and about MS in general. Anyway, he suggested that I start using Lyrica to treat the TN, and it has worked like a miracle!! I have had zero TN episodes in 8 months.
I'm sure many of you are familiar with Lyrica, which is very similar to Neurontin but much more effective. I no longer live in fear of a TN attack. Thank God!
If you or someone you know is suffering from TN, ask your doctor about Lyrica. You don't have to suffer!

As some of you may already know my history you will be aware that my TN has returned. I started off on 25 mg of Lyrica twice a day and I am now on 50mg twice a day.
I just started to eat my cereals when I had this nasty electric jolt, that's the only way I can explain it, I felt it right from my right lower tooth, along my lower cheek and right into my right ear. I even felt in in my lower jaw. It lasted 3 minutes and brought me to tears. It's been a long time since I had it as bad as that. It stung like hell! I was ok until I took my first mouthful of food.
I'm quite happy being on a 50mg dosage, but if this keeps up I'll have to increase to 75mg. I can't remember the full dosage, but I hope I don't have to go that far.
Did any of you find that your TN bout came on just by eating food?

Today is day 3 for me. I am prescribed 90 norco a month and found this month for the first time I finished them 9 days early. So, I guess that means I take about 6 day. I use to take 1 at a time. I soon discovered that if I take
1 1/2 at a time , not only will my back/hip pain subside, but I feel pretty "good" also. I've been known to take 2 at a time also...
I ran out and had no way of getting anymore. I found myself waking up at 5am like clockwork for the past three mornings with the "bubble guts" and having to take these weird bowl movements. Truth be told, I am not in a lot of pain. I am just anxious to get more meds to avoid having the bubble guts first thing in the morning and using the bathroom at work (which is a very small office by the way =/). I don't like the sleep deprivation either since I have a very demanding job and three kids aged 13, 8, and 4.
Bottom line is, I know I take the pills for more than the physical pain. I can admit that. I do have physical pain, but there are times where I can hold off. No other pain med will do. My body laughs at Motrin 800 and Baclofen and I am trying to find a way to get to work tomorrow with a clear head. I have Tramadol and hate it. It just makes me feel in a cloud, but not so much "good". I am seeking the "good" sensation. It's the truth. I know meds aren't good for the body, so if I'm going to take them I'd rather take the good stuff-something that will work.
I feel sort of bad for saying this as I know there are some real troopers out there who can quit cold turkey...but, as soon as I can fill my prescription (in 5 days), I will probably pick them up on my lunch break. Sad. For those of you who can quit cold turkey, I applaud you because withdrawals SUCK. I didn't mention the other symptoms: runny nose (odd), cough (something in my throat causes me to go on these brief coughing episodes), goose bumps (chills), night sweats, irritability (and feeling like a crackhead for being in this position). I can totally deal with those things, but the deal breakers for me is the insomnia and the bubble guts...I will try to taper off. Until next time.

So I'm on 10 mg norco 4 x daily. I keep telling the doctor if I can take 5 a day because 4 isn't enough and I'm in a lot of pain. he doesn't even respond I'm frustrated. Should I ask for percocet 4 x daily.
Wouldn't I have to take 10mg percocet for it to be stronger then 10 mg norco since percocet 7.5 mg is equivalent to 1o mg norco

So told doctor about fentanyl issue and he said we could give Percocet a try again. Ni was getting nausea from it before. So I said ok, now have a script for 90 Percocet 7.5mg. Just had 60 Norco filled last Saturday hoping this won't be an issue at pharmacy. He said the Percocet will be more effective for pain. Also I have a box of unopened fentanyl patches. Can I return them to the pharmacy? I don't want to have pharmacy and my insurance think I'm stocking up on meds.

I'm so ready to get off everything and I wish I could hit rewind. I want to try Suboxone. I have an appt on Tues to get a script. I am currently on 50mg Norco, 150-300 mg Tramadol (usually 150) and 1-2mg Xanax per day. I was on 450 mg Tramadol for 10 yrs (150 mg day previous five years). Norco escalated up but daily last two years (sporadic before that) hence why I dropped down Tramadol. Xanax for 3-4 years.
So..with those meds will the doctor give me Suboxone? Will he take me off both Norco and Tram at same time (my hope)?
Also..if all goes as planned and I start on Suboxone, how long before I can stop Sub? A friend was only on it two months and then just stopped. I do not want to be on anything. At this point the way I feel is worse than the pain..and actually Norco in increased doses makes me hurt more.
