I still have this gnawing pain under the skin on my collar bone, cheek near the ear, behind the ear, and neck and there's some swelling too.
Can somebody explain and what are the natural remedies?
I'm having a pain in my chest on left side near my collar bone stings when I move my arm it burns a little in that spot I'm scared its heart related

Is this dry sockets & possibly arthritis. It hurts @ times when I eat. I remember many years ago I think my Dentist said I have TMJ would this be connected as beginning to get on my nerves now, thank you.
View 2 RepliesI have a large bump on my upper, right cheekbone. It started the night before last with just a little swelling. When I woke up yesterday AM, it was almost swollen shut. Throughout the day yesterday, the swelling expanded to the entire left side of my face. I've messed with it a little so now there is a little break in the skin. I kept ice on it last night which seems to have reduced the swelling. The knot itself is not round but long.... a little longer that the size of a quarter. It hurts and is very sensitive to the touch. Over night, it's like it moved up a little bit. I can now see it out of the corner of my eye. I feel like Shrek. The knot is hard and seems much deeper than a pimple. What the heck could this be and how do I get rid of it? I'm really concerned.
View 4 RepliesIt started with a swelling on my eyelid which I thought was a stye. Then I had a red swelling around a kind of cold-sore on my cheek, then others on the left side of my face, also in there are bumps on my scalp .... they look and feel like cold sores and itch a lot.
Happily had already made an appointment at the docs for another matter, so I'm waiting for that to come up ... hopefully she'll be sympathetic about dealing with two different ailments.
If it is shingles - can I go swimming tomorrow? And what about work - I have a little job in a grocery shop?
I am 21 now, I had gotten shingles when I was 20. I only had it for a week luckily but, it was on my face...around my left eye and cheek area. While I had it, I had a lymph node swollen behind my ear that was pretty large also a couple lymph nodes on my head that were swollen as well. Both with piercing, constant pain. Then with the Shingles, the marks on my face and near my eye also hurt BAD. I got through all of that, no scarring.VERY lucky on that one. But now about 8 months later I have the same lymph node behind my ear swollen, my cheek actually filled up with fluid one day and when I opened my mouth something popped, all the fluid was released and the trash can became my best friend that night. NASTY. I thought it may have been a abscessed tooth causing the swelling and fluid build up, but after the fluid left my body my tooth stopped hurting. Now I'm just kinda lost and looking for some help on what may be going on.
View 1 RepliesI had surgery on June 14, 2011 to remove a bone spur on my left clavicle and to remove arthritis near (but not in) my shoulder joint. It was the worse experience of my life. I was in constant agonizing pain for 2.5 months. Just for the record, I've had two ulnar nerve surgeries on my left AND right elbows and never even needed pain medication. This shoulder surgery apparently did not relieve any of my pain. I still have a dull aching pain through out the day starting in my neck (left side) to my shoulder, and down my bicep to my elbow. I still can not sleep at night, and through out the day while working my shoulder/arm/ neck is killing me. I continue to take an Naproxin and continue to rotate heat and ice. I did physical therapy for the first two months after surgery. My concern is that had arthroscopic surgery, and there was NO rotator damage so why is my shoulder still in pain? My shoulder pops when I do try to rotate it.. and often when I simply reach outward for something..I'm in excruciating pain. I'm a baker, so I am constantly lifting a 34-50lb metal mixing bowl and have to reach many times through out the day. There really is no way to not do my job duties and still retain my job. Any ideas why I'm still having this problem?
View 14 RepliesThere is a red bump that came up on my butt cheek it looked like a mosquito bite but got a few more around it thought it might of been ringworm bc it looked like a circle I scrubbed the area with bleach, I know that wasn't smart but it went away and let a slight dark spot on the area well the bump comes back from time to time in the same spot what is it? It's a Lil itchy only when I think about it but it's the same as before except it just had a few Little bumps around the middle bump.

I've had a CT scan and blood tests done and everything came back normal other than an elevated WBC in the urinalysis. I can't get in to see my doctor for a few days and just want some peace of mind. I'm having bad sharp upper abdominal pain. It started on the left side originally but is now happening all over my stomach and I'm ridiculously bloated. I started having weird bone pain a few weeks afterward--there is no pattern. My hands will hurt, then my left leg will hurt, then my right hip, etc. Today I started noticing a metallic taste in my mouth as well. Anyone know what this could be? I've researched everything from hemochromatosis (my mom carries the gene) to H Pylori but nothing fits perfectly.

i am suffering from spinal stenosis, and will undergo surgery in a few weeks.
can it be radicular pain caused by the spinal stenosis? if so, is there a physical test to help verify that?
My vagina opening is wide enough to fit a tampon, which i've done on many occasions however, anything larger than this and it doesn't seem to stretch anymore. The actual skin can stretch fine and does but at the opening is a small ridge of bone. Once you reach past this bit of bone, inside the vagina it can stretch fine, it's just that one ridge, i can put my finger round it and hook it but I can't actually move the bone (obviously)So my problem is just that when I come to having sex, nothing will fit. I think this bone is the pubic bone which is just sunk down too far. I can also feel it right behind my clitoris and urethra opening like everything has been squashed down into one small area. It doesnt come very far up on my front 'mound' but comes too far down underneath in my vaginal area.Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this? What should I do?
View 13 RepliesGood advice here on the subject of cervical spondylosis, apart from the wearing of a support collar maybe. I have found wearing a soft collar at night very helpful in preventing an attack of neck pain turning into a horrible headache by the time morning comes. And very occasionally, it's useful even in the day for severe flare-ups. But I completely agree that neither collars nor corsets should be worn for prolonged periods. My problem started nearly 30 years ago after a car accident, and I'm able to deal with it by the collar at night, Dihydrocodeine, and occasionally voltarol.
I'm sure it's important to keep as active as possible, but families (and GPs) need to understand that it can be a significantly disabling condition for a minority of us. It has stopped me working, and limits my ability to paint, which I love to do. If diagnosed with it, take all the physio and other help you can get as early as possible, and ensure you are not written off by the medics - badger them until you get help that works for you.
I am a 47 year old female. I had Microfracture Knee surgery on January 12, 2016 and it was not a success. My doctor said that I am still bone on bone and will need a partial knee replacement. He uses the Oxford Partial Knee and says it is the best one to go with. I was able to get a Synvisc injection on May 12, 2016. My doctor and I are both hopeful that this will give me some time to make this big decision. I have had a really hard time recovering from the microfracture surgery. I was on crutches for five weeks and my knee got stuck in a bent position. I was in therapy for three months and I still cannot walk with a straight knee. The thought of undergoing another surgery is so scary. I just want to be normal again and do all the things that I used to do before.

For the past two months I been feeling a lot of pain on my vaginas is like on the bone it feels like if am swollen when am lying down and I want to turn it hurts so bad. I told my doctor and she doesn't know what it could be I am 37weeks by the way. Does anyone have the same problem that can give me an advised on how to make it feel less painful
View 1 RepliesFour days ago I woke up with pretty bad pain on my Occipital bone one the right side.It felt bruised and hurt to touch.Then the pain was constant and throbbing.Now,four days later my neck on that side is tight and sore and have had a constant headache. Before this I was having pain on the same side in my face right near my ear as well as ear pain.I am SUPER dizzy too.I do have meniere's disease as well so I think this problem is aggravating the menieres and dizziness.
I saw my ENT for the ear and face pain and she noticed I had fluid in my ear and treated it,but said it did not look like an infection.My nose has been super stuffy as well.
Having meniere's I tend to hold my head stiff in fear of dizziness and I sleep propped on 4 pillows due to dizziness.After researching all I keep seeing is OCCIPITAL NEURALGIA 😳.I read it can be from neck issues or sometimes infection and the lymph nodes in the Occipital swell.I plan on calling the Dr tomorrow but does anyone have thoughts or similar symptoms? The pain is pretty bad. It feels just like I bumped my head.....Anyone?
I was diagnosed 10 weeks ago with shingles and unfortunately it was on my head, forehead and around my eye, which was very painful and uncomfortable, My vision is ok but I keep getting a very sore and pink eye, and have been told at the eye clinic that it is dry eye and I now have the same type of drops that I was given weeks ago. Has anyone else experienced sore itchy eyes so long after getting shingles and if so, any idea how long it lasts? my eye gets SO itchy and sometimes I have to rub it which I suppose is just making it worse!! There seems to be nothing i can put on my eyelid to stop the awful itching
View 2 RepliesFor about two weeks I was experiencing pain on my right side, around my rib area to under my breast bone. It was an odd pain, nothing like I've had before, it felt as though someone punched me really hard. I thought it was just a muscle strain from so much coughing as I had pneumonia, but the pain didn't go away when the cough did, the pain got worse, and it was constant and would not respond to over the counter pain meds. It got to the point I was crying from the pain. All I can describe it as if someone beat the s**t out of me and left me there, or a car ran over my side. I had no burning, no tingling, no rash. It is a scary pain.
Nonetheless I was still diagnosed with shingles, and given antivirals and pain meds. Within a week I felt a lot better, now the pain is mostly gone, thank God.
Shingles also makes you feel lightheaded, faint, weak, unwell in yourself, not right. Before I got the pain I had a few days of feeling really weak and not right and thought I was going to pass out. Funny that as I remember a day before I got Chicken Pox, years ago, I felt really off.
Terrible thing to get. Now fearing getting it again so will look into a vaccine.
Just wanted to post this in case there are any of you who are wondering if its possible to have shingles without the rash. Yes, it is. Not common, but possible. It is also possible for the band of pain to shift, rather than just stay in one place. In my case my pain started on my right side, then went to my left side, same area of my rib/breastbone.
Hope this helps some people - if this is you, go to your doctor, the anti virals really work fast and the pain meds make it bearable. Paracetamol is not enough for this. Neither is co-codamol. You need either a med that dulls the nerve endings, or an opiate.
for the past week I had severe joint pain and weakness, muscle weakness, bone pain in extremities ( had a blood test for lupus and RA[ no family history of either] Starting to get a bit better as long as I rest. recently sexually active with one person, now I just noticed feeling swollen like I was getting a UTI ( hurt when I urinate), but noticed it hurt in my vagina not urethra, checked and there are 4 small red bumps in my right labia minora and 1 in my left labia minora-odorless, feels inflamed and hurts now. Is this related to possible lupus or separate problem? I feel exhausted and run down.

View 1 RepliesI had bunion surgery on my feet last year, since then i have been in more pain than before i had surgery. To be honest they weren't actually painful before the surgery, just a pain to wear shoes and they were very bent. now my left foot feels weird and my right foot is extremely painful.
what to do? i regret having the surgery i want to go back to being my normal super active self. They hurt so much!
