What's the easiest and most affordable way to treat acne and oily skin? I wash my face all the time, but it's so hard to prevent this acne.

View 1 Repliescoming up to three years ago I had the Nexplanon implant fitted and until now it has being amazing ... no periods or side effects. But recently I have been feeling really groggy, with awful oily skin and acne, anxiety, irregular bleeding, ibs symptoms, headaches etc. Does anyone know if this could be because my implant is running out and I am having hormonal changes?
View 1 Replieshad a red patch of skin under my eye for at least 3 months now.
i think it gradually appeared and has slowly been getting bigger ever since it does not itch and is not sore it goes dry and flaky after a shower and sometimes gets white head spots
I am now 30 years old. I did not have serious acne problem on my face until the age of 27. Since the age of 27, my face started to have acne as shown in the images as attached. They usually start with little lumps under the skin. If I apply pressure to it, luckily there will be some grease in white color coming out from the pore, but more often the grease fails to come out, and the area becomes darker and darker, water starts to diffuse out of the area. Then the area starts to become painful ....
View 5 RepliesI'm having trouble with one side of my face. I have these tiny pimples underneath the skin and there's a lot of them. They don't pop and nothing I'm doing is working. Is there any facial treatment that can get rid of them? They're on my left cheek bone area and can only be seen in certain light but it's gross and I don't know what to do for it! HELP!
View 2 RepliesHi, I have read that really dry skin actually helps acne get worse. I used this cream to exfoliate and the next day my face was real dry, so i applied aloe vera gel to my face to stop my skin from being so dry. Does aloe vera gel help the skin on your face from being so dry and does that in result help acne from breaking out?
View 3 RepliesI have had persistent acne on my chin for over a year now, but has worsened in last 6 months since my periods stopped, and all my other menopausal symptoms have flared up - all the typical ones.
It's driving me crazy and I am desperate for a cure! My diet is very good, and the rest of my skin is clear. I have tried every over the counter product, 2 courses of prescription antibiotics, and lots of different natural supplements.
I know most make-up clogs your pores and it makes your acne worst. But what happens to me is: I get a bad spot breakout, it goes away after a week or so and I'm left with red/purple scars. So I cover these up with make-up. But I think that makes me breakout all over again, so what types/brands have make-up that is slightly better for skin?
View 4 RepliesI have heard that there is a test that dermatologists can perform on your skin, and let you know what food is not good for you.
Has anyone try that?
My age is 26 and i am suffering from big pimples on shoulder and on chest from 6 months, may i know the reason why they are getting only on shoulders and on chest, what is the best treatment to cure.
View 2 RepliesI am 29 Years old. I was having problem on my face skin. So i visited a Doctor who prescribed me Adalen and Glycolic 6. After using that, it was better.
Now I had a function to attend so i used tan pack and have done facial.
After that the affected area got swollen and red. I applied ice cubes and Lacto Calamine. Now the swelling up is not there but the red patch mark is still there.
The affected area got very dry and..when i stretch the skin and leave it. The skin gets lines and squeezed type.
I'm having real problems with the skin on my face. I've never had brilliantly clear skin (the odd spot here and there) but since early December I've experienced lots of dry skin and acne around my mouth, on my nose and a small part of my forehead.
I went to the GP mid-December and she said I had cold sores which seemed infected, so she prescribed me antibiotics and a 10-day course of aciclovir tablets. However, at that time the sores were localised to around my mouth and over the past few weeks I've broken out with more spots all over my face. The red sores at the edges of my mouth are still there too.
My skin is itchy and sore, when I apply moisturiser it is very sore and the spots appear redder. Also if I apply face cleanser the spots become more aggravated and show no signs of clearing. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is very dry.
It's really bothering me at the moment, I don't want people to see me in this way and it's affecting my self esteem; I had to cancel a date last week. Can I/Should I asked to be referred to a dermatologist?
I'm 25 years old so don't believe this is usual pubertal acne. I believe there's a chance the spots all over my face are linked to the cold sores, but they didn't improve after I was on aciclovir. Is it possible for cold sores to affect your whole face and not just around your mouth?
I suffer from Atopic Eczema and have used an expensive Cosmedico GH8 full length floor standing Narrow Band UVB lamp with good effect for some time.
At age 75 I have now been advised to desist. I believe the GH8 is also used for Vitiligo and Psoriasis treatment it is standing there unused.
Okay, so for a few years I have had this patch of skin on my leg. I'm seventeen and I swear I can remember it being there for quite a while now. It has not changed in size, or color --- and it is not raised around the edges. I have had no other patches like this pop up. It has stayed in the same place since I can remember.
View 1 RepliesI have dry flaky areas all over with often acne breakouts. I use moisturizer and cleanser, but they don't help. I'm considering to try exfoliating but I'm not sure if it will make acne worse or better. Also I'm worried that my skin may become more drier. What do you think? Is exfoliating good idea?
View 2 RepliesOkay, so what is exactly is this? I've had it for a year and a half and it's really getting on my nerves. I have problems with dry skin, so maybe this is the result of me not getting enough moisture? Could it be melasma? Anyway here are some pictures :I'm pretty sure it's not melasma, but then again that's coming from the person that doesn't know what's going on with her face. Can someone please tell me what this brown anathema occupying my face is?! Or the cause of it?
View 12 RepliesI'm 16 years old and I recently discovered just a little area of brown colored skin on my neck. I reverently finished a 7 month course of accutane and I know it can affect your pigmentation in many ways.
View 1 RepliesI am 31 female and have IBS with constipation. This plus childbirth has given me some nasty hemorrhoids. This is the first really painful ones I have ever had so I went to urgent care and was sent home with Lidocaine ointment and hydrocortisone suppositories. Last night in a nice soaking bath I farted. I thought "wow that didn't hurt. This stuff works wonders". Then I smelt an awful smell and looked to see orange oil floating in the tub. My whole body smelt awful. It was so greasy and hard to wash off in the shower I took.
Today it. Happened again. Can it be the suppository? I don't eat fish or cashews (allergic to cashew) all that is all the internet had to offer.
I'm looking for advice. My 60 year old father (who has had HCV for more than 10 years; previously treated with Interferon but bad side effects) finished his 12 week Sofosbuvir+Daclatasvir (considered same as Harvoni) treatment a month ago. Already first tests after 2 weeks showed virus was Undetected, but yesterday he received his most recent results and he has a relapse of the virus. He is genotype 1, fibroscan result 4 (close to final stage). He is based in Poland and I'm not sure if our doctors are fully informed of the new generation medications and HCV itself.
Is anyone able to give us any advice? We are pretty desperate and my dad is just so depressed as he thought he finally got rid of the virus (he got infected while on an operation in a public hospital) and now it is back...
Are there any specialists that you are aware of I could possibly get in contact with?
A few weeks ago my bf noticed some bumps in his pubic area. He went to the dermatologist and was diagnosed with molluscum contagiosum, which is thankfully not that big of a deal! He got his treated with cryotherapy. Around this time I noticed a few bumps and because of the area they were in, went to an OBGYN for treatment so my bf and I don't keep spreading it to each other. The OB GYN agreed that they were also MC bumps and lightly scraped each one, then applied an acid treatment. That was a few days ago and while the bumps are mostly gone, the skin surrounding each one is dark and almost looks like a scab in color. Is this normal post acid treatment?
