Abnormal Pink Color Periods After Birth Control Pills
Mar 25, 2006
I have started to take birth control pills two months ago. During the first month of taking pills I was bleeding every day, it was like spotting, and it stopped after the period had ended. This month my period lasted less than before, it lasted only 3 days. I’ve noticed abnormal menstrual color, it was light, almost pink. Are these changes caused by pills or something’s wrong with me?

I'm 23 and have been trying to conceive for almost a year. I’ve had abnormal menstrual periods ever since I stopped taking birth control pills – since 4 years ago. During first 15-16 months, my periods came every 3 months, but now it got closer to normal - every month or so, and sometimes even after three weeks. Moreover, during my period I experience intense pain and heavy flow. There is a history of endometriosis in my family so I’m worried that I may never be able to conceive. I had all kinds of tests by now and the doctors told me I would become normal again within six months to a year but that did not happen and now they don't know what to do with me. Could anybody here suggest something?

My period was a week late and now I spotting like a bright orange color. It is like red orange. It isn't all the time though like only when I go to the restroom and wipe myself. I wear a pad just incase I start bleeding but nothing is on the pad. I don't know what is wrong with me I am scared. The one thing I want is a child, but I think that something is wrong with me and I won't be able to have one.

I've never been on birth control pills before and I just started taking them 4 days ago. I wanted to know if I can change the time I take it from 12:30 pm to like 7 or 8 at night? 12:30 just isn't too convenient for me anymore.

I've had a lot of breakthrough bleeding the last few weeks and am looking into changing my pill. However I'm going to a spa weekend this weekend and read online that to help with break through bleeding you can take two pills on one day and then carry on as normal. I have done this and hope to carry on with my normal pack tomorrow however all day I have felt very nauseous and have had a dodgy tummy constantly on the toilet. Is this because of the extra hormones my body isn't taking it very well? I did take them on an empty stomach stupidly as it was early and I didn't really think. Just worried I'm going to be really ill.

I am currently taking Trinessa and I missed two pills in my second week (light blue) and I caught up & took two the next day but after that I started spotting then I started my period. I've been taking one pill a day since then. I was wondering when will the bleeding end? And what should I do with the pills now?

I would like some help (Because deciding whether or not I will take Plan B pill) Anyways. I have been on birth control for about almost 2 years now. I have always been good about it, but I have been stressed this month so I messed up a bit. First I missed it on the very first white pill that you start (I didn't double up, I took regularly) then I missed it this week once (the third week pills) which was a few days ago (again I didn't double up, I just took regularly after) then today I had unprotected sex. I have plan b and am contemplating on taking it in order to be safe. My questions are:
If I didn't take the Plan b, would I be okay?
If I do take the plan B, will it make me super sick? and should I take my birth control regular since I have took Plan B?

I've been on dinette for my acne and bcp for 5 months now. Although last last week I've only stopped my antibiotic(lymecycline) . I was then on my 7 days break after I had unprotected sex today, which is the 6th day of taking new pack of pills. Is it possible I'm pregnant?

About a month into my first shot of Depo I began to bleed. After about 10 days of it I went to the doctor and they gave me estrogen pills to take for 10 days. They slowed down the bleeding, but didn't stop it. After I was done with the pills, the bleeding became heavier and I started getting really bad cramps. I went back in yesterday and they gave me Birth control pills to try to regulate it. It's been 2 days, but the bleeding and cramps are still there. it's just really bringing me down. I use to have a really active lifestyle, but all I want to do now is just stay home in bed. I've also lost about 4 lbs since the bleeding started. It has totally killed my sex life as well. My partner wants to have sex and so do I but the bleeding is just too embarrassing that I'd rather just make up some excuse to not do it. I don't know what else to try.

I delayed taking 2 birth control pills in a row (the first delay was of 11 hours and the second of 7 hours). Worried that the efficacy was compromised, I took a morning after pill 30 hours after unprotected intercourse. I continued taking my pills normally. Now, a week after taking the ECP I had a light bleeding. I know it is common, but I thought I wouldn't have it because I am on the pills. So, can I still bleed from the ECP withdrawal even taking birth-control pills? Or is it an implantation bleeding?

I have been taking Birth control pills for 7 days now. Today my boyfriend and I had sex without a condom and he came inside of me. Since I haven't been on birth control for very long should I take Plan B? I was told by my doctor that it will be fine to have sex with no condom after 7 days of taking the pill, but I was reading that sometimes it takes more than 7 days for the pull to fully kick-in.
