My doctors told me i cant take anything for headaches unless they were really bad and today my headache has just gotten worse by every hour and I cant deal with it anymore. What can I take?

In my line of work I can't afford to be any less than my best and have only heard of Tylenol that I can take. View 6 RepliesOkay so I keep hearing that contractions with girls are a lot worse then they are with boys. With my son I had contractions in my back none in the front. But now everyone keeps saying oh girls are a lot worse you feel the contractions all in the front. Is this true or is it just another old wives tale? I'm 32+4 weeks.

View 4 RepliesFor the last three or four days I have been having headaches. Called my doc and she didn't seem too concerned. Just said to take some Tylenol but to let her know if that didn't help. I plan to call tomorrow. No other symptoms except just feeling sort of run down. But I have three kids so I am not surprised there!! I am 15 weeks along. Anyone with similar issue?

View 6 RepliesI am 19 weeks and for over a week i have woke up every morning with a headache and sore neck. My headache lasts all day. I dont like to take meds especially when pregnant although i have had to take tylenol once this week. I am wondering if it is from the way i am sleeping or something. I usually sleep on my stomach but about 2 months ago i switched to sleeping on my sides with a body pillow between my knees and tucked under my lil belly. I drink lots of water and cut waaay back on coffee when trying to conceive. I am considering getting a massage if i can find someone local who treats pregnant women. Never had a massage!! Anyone have any suggestions? My stress level is the same as normal.

View 3 RepliesI've been having migraine headaches, pressure headaches, dizziness and nausea. I kept chalking it all up to menopause. Because as most of you know, so many of these symptoms are menopause.
Last Friday, Jan 2nd at around 7:30PM my boyfriend and I were leaving a restaurant, suddenly I started getting shocks in my right leg like my leg was falling asleep, while I was walking to the car. This shocking feeling quickly radiated up my arm and into my head, all on the right side. My boyfriend quickly started toward the hospital. On the way I lost the ability to formulate sentences and words. I would say one sentence and a totally different sentence would come out. I would try to say one word and a totally different word came out. Being a former medic the only word I wanted to relay was "stroke". It felt like someone had tasted my right side. It was the most frightening thing I'd ever experienced and I was awake for the entire ride. After getting to the hospital I was in the ER for about 3 hours. Then sent to Neurology/Stroke ward. For the next few days I had a battery of MRI's, EEG, EKG's, CT Scans, Blood Work, Ultrasounds and a Spinal (Lumbar Punch). Within 6 or so hours I was able to formulate sentences and say words again. I forced myself the entire time. My right side started getting feeling back within a few days. I still have some numbness in my right hand and am experiencing peripheral neuropathy symptoms in my right leg and foot.
The neurologist found a mass in my brain. Thanks be to God that it is benign. I just found out yesterday that I am cancer free. However, they still don't know what the mass is. It could be a tumor or a jelly bean I stuffed in my nose as a child. (joking) But we won't know for a while.Also it might be inoperable too. I will be seeing the Dr on the 13th for an MRI Rx. In a month we'll do the MRI and see what has happened with this mass. Is the edema gone, has it shrunk or grown? Things like that.
Started getting tinnitus about 3 or more years ago and it has fluctuated a lot but constantly been an issue. Sometimes it gets better only to then get worse. I have tried to keep a positive attitude about this and had succeeded for awhile. Then my hands started to hurt from too many video games and about 4 months ago i got what i believe to be rheumatoid arthritis. Haven't seen a doctor yet for either, my insurance is complicated. I know i have tinnitus and also have had sinus pressure and allergies making it worse. I am in pain most days because of tinnitus and pressure in my ears and at least slight if not worse pain from arthritis all the time. It only seems to get worse. I cant exercise as this makes the arthritis worse in my elbows. Here's the kicker, i am only 24 years old and my philosophy towards pain has always been ignore it til it goes away. Mind over matter. Years of ignoring these symptoms have made living my life very difficult. Every time i adapt, the symptoms get worse and honestly both of these things though medically treatable, cannot be cured and honestly i don't think much can be done. Any advice other than see a doctor would be appreciated. I will see a doctor as soon as my insurance has been changed which i am working on now.
