View 8 RepliesSo my main issue when dealing with my PTSD is the really vivid terrifying nightmares. I was controlling them for a while with trazodone, which I will admit I did not have a prescription for and received from a friend, but as I really don't feel like becoming addicted to medications, I've stopped taking it for the time being. Most of the other symptoms of my PTSD have so far not affected my day to day life but I cannot get a good night's sleep to save my life right and I was wondering if there was any type of meditation or something that you might recommend? I don't have the time or money right now to see a therapist or trauma expert.
View 2 RepliesIts been almost two months since i had a good night sleep..Since then, i'm lucky if i can have 2 to 3 continous hrs of sleep..I tried relaxing myself, followed some techniques and even meditate. but with no help..my mind is so hyped up thinking about almost everything..i need to have a good night sleep because i'm working as a senior lecturer, how can i perform well in front of my class if i'm like this?? I just had this bad experience recently, something personal.. Is there any over the counter meds for at least makes me relax?
View 3 RepliesI've been having magnesium baths for a while (epsom salts). I do get anxiety and not only do the baths calm me, it really helps with a good night sleep, aching muscles but the next morning helps with going to the loo too!
it is thought to be a natural detox too, help rid of toxins from your body (deodorant chemicals etc)
I buy a 25kg bag as its significantly cheaper but you can get smaller bags just to try.
i have 3 a week and add about 300-400g per bath and submerge as much of my body as i can for at least 20mins.
magnesium is a natural mineral which our body needs. You can make a drink with it apparently which is a VERY effective laxative (I haven't done this)
I've suffered with chronic pain in groin area for over 2years now after a few tests and Mri exam my specialist Dr Chawla told me there's no cure for Neuropathy besides help with medication and pain clinic. None of the painkillers have worked, bad time with side effects! I recently had Acupuncture with Gp only for the pain to spread all over body.
I have had no help and as single parent to 2 children this puts a strain on my depression. I don't want this to take over my life.
Whenever i go jogging, within 5-10 minutes, the calf muscles near my shin starts cramping/tightening up, I think it's the soleus. Usually one leg cramps up a lot more than the other but not tired one bit. I run on asic gel 1100, got them about 3 weeks ago and i run on a trail in a park. Also sometimes my calves don't cramp up but instead my hips hurt. Is it my running form or something else?

View 2 RepliesI'm 14 years old and yesterday school started after two weeks of holidays. I went to bed at 11 PM and woke up at 4 AM. I tried to go back to sleep but I just couldn't. At 6 AM I got up and got ready for school. After school I was really tired and took an hour long nap, but I was still extremely tired. I went to bed at 9 PM and fell asleep in a second. I woke up at 2:30 AM and tried my best to fall asleep, but it didn't work. Its 6 AM right now and Ive done some homework, as I couldnt do them yesterday because I was so tired. The thing is, this didn't happen in my holiday, and I get really cranky when I don't get enough sleep. Do I have insomnia?
View 3 RepliesIts almost five am and I cant even lay down because of how much pain im in. I cant go to the dr until 2 pm tomorrow. I know this is a uti because ive had them before but never this bad. Im so worried about the baby and if I can even take any antibiotics to make this go away. Is there anything I can do to make the pain go away.
