car shimmies on highway at 60 mph or higher. Can feel it in steering wheel. Could it be a wheel balance problem?

Volvo :: Idling High (1500 RPM And Higher) And Throwing 7 Codes

The car is a 1994 volvo 960, it has a rough idle, and its idling high (1500 rpm and higher) its throwing 7 codes, we just replaced the O2 sensor, we reset the computer, and still have issues, (though its no longer running rich!!!)

Here are the codes

1-1-3 injector group 1
1-1-5 injector group 2
2-1-2 O2 signal
2-3-2 long term fuel trip idle
2-1-4 rpm signal
3-1-4 cmp signal
2-3-3 long term ilde air trim

We also checked the idle control valve points 1-2 read 15 ohms and specs say 10-14, for the harness side port 1 read battery voltage (12.3) and port 2 initially read 10.2 then we wiggled and played with the injector wiring harness and it read 11.8.

We also poured fuel system cleaner right into the fuel filter and started it up, and just dumped the rest in the tank
I'm heading out to check those other sensors but what else could be causing these issues, also the temp gauge is reading cold all the time, but the fan kicks on when the car gets warm.

Touareg :: Air Suspension - Significant Sway At Higher Highway Speed

I recently had compressor for air suspension replaced on my '04 Touareg due to faulty equipment. VW replaced with new compressor. However, when the vehicle was returned to me it drove much rougher. There was significant sway at higher highway speed and you can feel every dip and pebble in the highway after the compressor was replaced Even in the "comfort" mode the ride was ridiculously stiff. I returned the vehicle to VW 3days later with the complaint about the ride roughness and asked if they could adjust the specs to improve the ride and handling. They stated that the vehicle is within "spec" for the ride control. Therefore, they can do nothing about the problem. How to remedy this problem??

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Vibrations At Highway Speeds 55 MPH Or Higher

Lifting 09-13 F-150 with the two piece drive shaft. I am getting a lot of vibrations at highway speeds(55mph or higher). I have a Pro Comp 6 inch lift that was installed while I was stationed in Alaska. I have the drive shaft spacer that goes on the drive shaft at the pinion. I also have a carrier bearing drop kit from BDS that I am currently experimenting with (trying to find the sweet spot). I am at a loss though because my truck is no longer fun to drive. I drive an hour to work one way and it blows that my truck feels as though it will rattle apart. I have tried doing all the research that I can find about this issue.

Volvo :: 95 / 96 850 2.0 T5 Engine Lose Power During Full Acceleration And At Higher Revs

In the past month for 3 times I've experienced problems with engine start (starter turned properly and I could hear fuel pump working). Yesterday however, I noticed that during full acceleration - at higher revs, engine suddenly loses a bit of power and at the same time you can feel kind of rattling or vibration in the engine. After letting off the gas pedal everything goes back to normal ... Besides, everything seems to be normal. Lambda control light does not light up indicating any errors. However I get a faulty knock sensor code 1-4-3. To my intuition the problem is with the ignition (but approx. 2 years ago I replaced distributor cap + rotor and the plugs + ignition wires were replaced about 3 years ago) or the amount of fuel in the mixture, but that could be caused by many things.

Volvo :: 1995 / 850 Died On Highway And Won't Start Only Cranks

95 850 died on the highway - now it cranks and won't start. I had it towed to a mechanic who later told me he didn't work on Volvos. He did however check for spark - good. Timing belt- good. I replaced fuel pump and relay - no go. One possible hint is the lights on the Sport/Econ switch no longer light up and the first light I saw when it died was the up arrow light on the dash. Last winter I cleaned and regreased the PNP switch. Would that have anything to do with it?.

Volvo :: 1981 240 Wagon - Loud Humming At 45-55 Mph On Highway

I have a 1981 240 Wagon with 182K miles on it. When I reach 45-55 MPH on the highway the car starts to hum and roar. It is not horrible by any means but it has gotten louder over time and now the car kind of vibrates. At 60mph it stops and quiets down. Now I am unsure if I have a turbo or not and I feel like that could just be the turbo mechanism kicking in but I am not sure.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Shimmies Back And Forth Under Load

Under load, the car shimmies back and forth. Left to right. But only under load. It will even do it in 5th gear at 1500 rpm. The problem goes away when foot off the gas, or in neutral.

Already did a drivers side axle, passenger side axle, and dog bone mount.

I removed the intake to inspect the transmission mount and this is what I found below. Should it be able to wiggle this much? I imagine the mount is original to the car. Which has 156,000 on it currently.

I have a 1994 Automatic Ford Crown Victoria with apx. 120,000 miles (the odometer stopped working about 20k miles ago, what can ya' do).

Recently it has started doing a subtle vibration/shake/shimmy when accelerating from (I believe) 1st to second gear at about 35 mph. It doesn't happen when decelerating, and i think it might happen the same way at around 65 mph...not always though. It isn't a rough vibration, but it lasts for about 3 seconds. it is definitely coming from the engine, it isn't the tires or brakes

Passat (B6) :: Higher Pitch Of Faster Turning Engine / Car Idling At Higher RPM At Stop

Sometimes I will stop at a light and my idling rpm will go from 600 (usual rate she idles at) to about 950. While this may seem inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, it's noticeable enough that it seems like the car wants to go. It'll lead me to depress the brake more. You can also hear the higher pitch of the faster turning engine (it is a 50% increase in speed). This will happen at random times so I have not been able to pinpoint if it is caused by a particular driving style. ECM for this?

Dodge - Ram :: Cannot Rev Higher Than 3000 RPM

Its a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.9 gas engine w/ 115K miles.

The truck started running really rough and I was 60 miles from home. The issue was bad plug wires, dist cap, rotor. These items were heavily corroded. I was able to get the truck home and then replaced the typical tune up items. Truck was running good as new. I drove it around and everything seemed fine until I took it out to the highway. Runs great at low RPM but cuts out and cannot accelerate above ~3,000-3300 RPM depending on the gear. When I get to ~ 3K rpm it starts cutting out and surging and feels like I am riding a bucking bronco.

The CEL has been on the truck for a couple of years and I have not checked it due to mice chewing up my wires a couple years ago (the joys of country living). I never rewired up the OBD2 port. It has run great and gas mileage has been normal until last weekend. Funny part is when it started running bad, the CEL went off.

I have had suspicion that the catalytic converter has been partially blocked because it has made noise before it gets warmed up. My thought is that when the engine was running rough, my gas mileage went really low for that trip home. My thought is all the extra gas that ended up in the exhaust has finally killed the cat and now i have a significantly restricted exhaust.

My next step is to install a test pipe and see if that solves the problem.

My Dad's R32 is revving at a higher rpm than it should at idle. It happens randomly for about a minute and then goes away only to return later. He took it to the stealership, but they will not facilitate because they could not replicate the problem. I'm thinking it is some kind of vacuum leak.
