Water is leaking into my Sienna van from the side curtain airbag emblem. I called Toyota and was told they've never encountered this issue.

View 1 RepliesMy 2002 Sienna has water pooling in the front passenger side. We pulled up some of the front carpet and it's soaking beyond the passenger side. We need to find out where the water is coming from. It correlates to rain, but we tried hosing the passenger door and front windshield but didn't see any water coming in.
View 30 RepliesI looked up the service history of a Sienna 2006 (have been planing to buy the minivan) and found that it had a few incidents with AIR BAG ON. When I initially searched for 2006 Sienna I mostly hit the door latch problems. Looks like the airbag issue has been reported on several blogs and there is no recall yet on this issue.
My question is, if I buy extended warranty, whether this would cover the repair cost or not. Or, should I stay away from 2006 Siennas? If so, which models/years should I avoid?
I was cleaning out the back seat of my car when I noticed the panel that covers the right rear seat belt and goes up to cover the curtain airbag has somehow come loose. I dropped by the VW dealership and they said that a clip broke off from inside causing this and they were asking me how it happened! How I occupy only the drivers seat in my car.
View 4 RepliesI am attempting to replace my antenna base and while removing the headliner I noticed the airbag curtain on the side posts. They are taped up and folded up like an accordion, but I was concerned that they might deployed if disturbed. Need to know whether or not they will release.
View 2 RepliesOne vent on drivers side does not put out cold air. 2010 Toyota Sienna....
View 7 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Sienna and the passenger sliding door will not slide on its own. You have to tug on the door to get it to engage. The repair shop said the door needs a new actuator. How hard is replacing the actuator on sliding passenger door?? My brother thinks he might be able to do it???
View 6 RepliesWhen I turn on the heat, I only get hot air through the drivers side vent, the passenger side vent is very cold. I had it in to be worked on (at a Non-Toyota shop)and they tore it completely apart and could not diagnose the problem. It affects the entire system, meaning the air going to defrost is also hot on the drivers side and cold on the passenger side.
View 7 RepliesThumping noise in rear passenger side. I removed pads and rotors, inspected and found nothing wrong. I decided to replace the new rotor with same and the thumping is still there, but only with the brakes being used. Nothing felt in the brake pedel and the the van stops fine. So why the thumping noise?
View 4 RepliesI have a Toyota Sienna 2008 mini-van. I need to replace my broken passenger side rear view mirror.
View 5 RepliesJust noticed a puddle of water around the adblue tank in the right side of the trunk, I popped the cover off where you would fill the adblue tank and there was more water around that area too...
View 9 RepliesThe wife's 2008 Prius has apparently been collecting water on the driver side (front and back) floors for some time. Allegedly, it doesn't have to be raining, or even wet outdoors at all for it to accumulate. The fluid is not engine coolant or windshield washer fluid; clear, colorless, and tasteless (yeah, I did taste it) liquid, totally saturating, and partially filling the floor pans on the left side, while leaving the area directly under the driver seat dry. There seems to be some dampness on the passenger rear carpet, but it's nothing like the driver's side. The undercarriage has plastic shielding of some sort covering the areas of the floor where the water has built up, so I can't immediately see any drain plugs, or holes where water may be coming in. Before I start tearing things apart, I thought I would run the strange problems through the forum, and see what you all might come up with. I've seen some reports of possible A/C drain issues in the passenger front floor, but this is definitely left side. Oh, yeah....there's a stink along with it, but I'm assuming that may be mold caused by the standing water, or something totally unrelated; but I thought it bore mentioning.
View 19 RepliesI have a 2013 Elantra and yesterday all this water came into the car underneath the glove box / under the dash. When making right or left hand turns you can hear the water sloshing around behind the dash. Its definitely water. What is causing water to leak into the car?
View 7 RepliesWhat could possibly be leaking water on my drivers side floorboard below my dash? I could understand if it was on the passenger side but driver?
View 5 RepliesThe other day, I was sitting in the just the right place with the light shining in the passenger window just right to notice a glistening liquid in the bottom crack of the line that runs around the passenger side air bag panel. (Hope I explained it well enough)
I was concerned about a water leak of course, but I have no water traces anywhere else behind the dash or the kick panel. I spread the crack apart far enough to get the edge of a paper towel in the crack to wipe up whatever it was. Low and behold, it is some kind of really slick, silicone type oil.
If the safety air bag should be leaking oil? Is my family in danger? Do safety air bags "degrade" and start decomposing in time? Could that oil be coming from some other source?
Can I pull that front panel off without making the bag explode?
I have a 2005 Prius and there is water coming into the drivers side floor. We believe this may have been going on for awhile and didn't realize it. My son drove the car and there was a "smell" that started about a year ago and I thought he spilled something inside the car.
View 7 RepliesWe have had 6-8 inches of rain in the last month. the last several days I have notice a lot of water in the passenger side floorboard as well as behind the seat. the headliner around the sunroof is also saturated on that side of the car. After several hours investigating and reading posts on this forum it is safe to say that the drain on that side is clogged. I am a new VW owner and am ignorant as to where the drains are at??? also, how to "rod" or unclog the drain line that runs down a or c pillar?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 dodge caravan that leaks water on the passenger side floor board when the a.c is on. I have had it to three mechanics and each has said they fixed it by cleaning the tube that on the left side of the firewall. one even put a sealer around the tube and firewall saying it was leaking through the factory sealant. but like old faithful the van leaks still what can I do?
View 2 RepliesI have a 05 gli and leaking water from drive side visor towards the sun roof. Would the drain be clogged from the sunroof. My seat is getting wet....
View 7 RepliesMy area has been hammered by rain for the past several weeks and I've noticed water leaking in around my driver's side headliner and down my column. I suspect it is the moonroof drain hole that is causing the problem, but when I pour water into the hole it drains out of the bottom of the car like it should be.
I want to check the drain nipple under the column trim to see if the hose is damaged there and leaking, but I'm not sure how to remove it. I've read about the Sante Fe trim removal and it sounds like you should just be able to pull on it from the top and work your way down, but I want to check as I don't want to start breaking clips to "test" out if it works.
Is the column held in by friction clips that should come loose if I pull with enough pressure toward the rear-view mirror?

Wife was driving in heavy rain and noticed water dripping from above the parking brake.
When she got home took a quick look and noticed moisture around the fuse box that sits just above the parking brake.
Assume a seal somewhere is bad. Did some searching but only got hits for passenger side leaks and AC drain hose.
Next step is a trip to the dealer to diagnose.
