We just bought a 2014 camry with 4000 miles on it. i deleted the previous phones from the previous owner and then the bluetooth was turned off. one can see that on the screen unlit and OFF. How to turn it back on? There is no option to turn on. tried to set to default and nothing.
View 8 RepliesFor 2 years I've had no issues connecting my bluetooth to my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. All of a sudden the screen on the Camry shows that it's not paired with my phone anymore. I go into Bluetooth setup and the area where you add a new bluetooth device isn't even allowed. The only option on the Bluetooth screen that's allowed to be touched is the "paired devises" line. My son's iphone still shows up and my old phone shows up. I wondered if it wasn't my phone but then when I go back to install a new bluetooth device it won't even let me.
View 7 RepliesI just got a new 2013 Camry SE with the basic (non-nav) touch display and the Galaxy S3 registers and will play music and display the artist and track name most of the time.However, I have no option of looking at the artists or selecting albums. The right and left buttons on the wheel controls do nothing, and I can only skip forward and backward one track.
On page 54 of the display manual, it shows a browse button that is not there on my screen. I cannot get track lists of any kind. I should also note that the song progress bar is not displayed as it is in the picture.
Is there a certain app that I can use that would make the phone more compatible? I'm a bit shocked that a phone as commercially successful as the S3 is not working properly with a 2013 vehicle.
2012 Camry LE. When I am already talking to someone using the Bluetooth and another call comes in, I get a Caller ID pop-up on the screen along with a green phone and a red phone. Neither button does anything. There doesn't seem to be any way to switch to the second call. I can't even end the first call. It's as if that second call has disabled all functionality of the screen and steering wheel buttons.
View 12 RepliesLately, I've noticed what appears to be water coming from underneath my engine. It is located at the rear-centre of the engine, near the firewall, and quite enough leaks that I can see the puddle draining near to the sidewalk where I park. I have not been using the AC (that is, the green light is not on) but the air is still cool so perhaps the AC is still working though. It appears to be water, has no odour, nor does it appear to have any colour - so I am sure it is water. Could it be the water pump? Or just part of the AC condenser? More accurately, does the AC still work (even minutely) even though the green "AC" light remains unlit?

My 2011 Toyota Camry LE doesn't have a GPS system. I want to buy a portable, 3rd party GPS system. I have heard that my car has Bluetooth capability, although I'm not certain this is true. I have the following questions:
1. Does my car really have Bluetooth capability?
2. Is Bluetooth the only relevant technology for my needs?
3. Do I plug the GPS unit into the car's data port? Where IS the car's data port?
4. Do I need a GPS service provider?
5. What about a power source - do these things run on batteries, or can I plug it into the thing that used to be for the cigarette lighter?
6. Are these 3rd party products reliable?
7. Could I get the kind of GPS unit that actually talks to you inexpensively?
8. Is there anything else I need to know about 3rd party GPS systems?
I just bought a 2013 Totyota Camry LE. Everything is great so far besides the bluetooth. I do not have problem connecting but when I connect my phone via bluetooth while streaming radio like pandora or iheartradio or even local files, I cannot skip tracks using the controls on the steering wheel. Also there is no next/previous track button on the touch panel. Am I doing something wrong or was it how this system was designed.
View 1 RepliesThe navigation screen on my recently went blank, while I was driving to my little brother's graduation. I can still see a faint outline of the screen, but other than that, it is hard to see. Have this problem with their navigation screen? I've tried look in the manual for a solution, but it doesn't have anything useful in it. I've googled for the solution as well, but most people said that if I were to bring it into the dealership, they would just replace my whole unit and that would cost $2000 or more, which is a no-go. I've tried to see if it was a fuse, but I got no idea what I'm looking at when I looked at the fuse box. I'm thinking it is maybe the backlight and that it maybe just died. By the way, the screen still works, I can still press on it and select my preset radio stations, but just can't see.
View 3 RepliesHow to change the Toyota Logo that appears on the screen when you start the car? I know there is an option for that in the Settings menu toward the bottom. There is a preset Toyota logo and the user may add more or modify the current one. There is an option to extract from USB, but when I do it says failed.
My usb flash drive is formatted properly, and I do have pictures in there that I would like to put. However, it says to refer to the Toyota User Guide for picture information, but I cannot find it anywhere.
Perhaps my pictures are too big for the screen, so that is why?
How to exit out of the bluetooth screen when i don't have the phone sync'd up?? I want to get back to the regular screen that has all the other options like the digital speedometer, trip time...etc. It eventually resets back to that screen, but it takes a few days for it to happen and annoys the crap out of me.

View 13 RepliesI just got some work done on my Camry (CEL P0440 and P0446). The lights have been taken care of after the Charcoal Canister and hoses above the gas tank were replaced. Since then, I've noticed that I'm getting a gas smell in the cabin when the AC is turned on and when I turn the AC off and roll the windows down. No CEL is on, and I was able to pass emissions.
View 9 RepliesI bought a used 2007 Toyota Camry LE a couple of years ago and every time I turn on the AC it smells like cigarettes. The interior of the car doesn't have an odor when the AC is off. Is there anything I can do to eliminate the smell?
View 3 RepliesMy 2003 Toyota Camry LE has been running fine. Recently I parked the car somewhere for about 5 minutes and when I returned the car would not start, i.e. when I turned the key in the ignition the engine would not engage. I called the tow truck. The tow truck driver takes a look and tells me that she can hear the engine trying to kick in. She thinks the battery is fine, the alternator is fine etc. etc. So she pops the hood, takes a long metal rod, places it on the starter and gives it a couple of gentle taps. Then she asks me to start the car. I do and it works. She tells me that the starter was stuck and that what she did freed it up.
The car runs okay now but I am concerned as to whether this could be a sign of things to come. Should I take my car in the get the starter looked at or maybe replaced? The dealer says that a new starter will run me 350 bucks but also said that I don't need to come in unless it happens again. What does the community think? Do I have a problem or was it a one off thing that I can ignore for now? And I don't know if its important or not but the weather here has been starting to get colder lately. Could that be responsible in any way? I have about 81000 miles on this car.
I have a 1998 Camry. My directional light and click correctly when I tun them on. When I GENTLY turn off the directional signal, I hear the relay continue to click, however the dash lights do not blink, nor do the outside lights. If I let the directional lever jump back into place, the problem does not occur. Is it the switch in the column, or the relay?
View 1 RepliesWhen I turn off the wiper blades on my 1997 Toyota Camry they do not return to the home or lowest position. They stop at whatever spot they happen to be. The wipers work OK on both slow speed and fast speed. Also the intermittent function is no longer working. In this position the wiper blades operate cintinually in the slow speed. What could be the causing this problem? Could it be the wiper switch on the steering column, the wiper motor, or some other component such as a fuse or relay?
View 5 RepliesJust took delivery of my 2005 SC430 (Egyptian Sand, white leather, 55k miles. Lovely vehicle.) which I thought came with Bluetooth.
However, when looking to pair my iPhone 4S the 'Phone' icon is not present on the ML Nav Info display screen, suggesting that maybe Bluetooth is missing? I confirmed it's a 2005 from the VIN.
When I depress the little button below and behind the steering wheel volume buttons (left side - this is a US car) I get a voice saying 'No cassette inserted' or words to that effect, suggesting it's a cassette control button, not a Bluetooth one. The Nav instruction book which came with the car specifically refers to the presence of Bluetooth.
How to find if I have Bluetooth or not? My iPhone cannot 'discover' anything.
I have a 2015 Plug in Prius and a Samsung Galaxy S5. I am having terrible bluetooth issues. It connects fine then after a minute or two the bluetooth on the cars gets turned off. I can turn of engine and turn it back on and it connects again for couple of minutes after that the bluetooth on prius shows turned off. It is terrible.

At first I thought it was just a fluke, but then several more times I tried it and every time it turns off.
