I tried to pull out my sun visor one day to get more sun protection and ended up yanking it out. I put the sun visor back on and my seat heaters, interior mirror/compass, cigarette lighter, exterior mirrors, and mirror heaters don't work. I guess What do I do about these small annoying issues??
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 Subaru Outback with inside mirror with compass. Problem - the compass is unreadable because the light is too dim to read the direction showing. Does the mirror have to be replaced or is there a way of fixing the problem?
View 3 RepliesI'm one month into a new '12 Outback, after previously purchasing a '12 Forester and trading up to the OB. Both cars have proven (to me at least) to have the worst front seats I've ever encountered in any car I've driven in nearly 30 years of driving. The adjustments on the Forester were limited to forward and backward, but even with the power adjustment on the OB, I'm having all kinds of back problems (including likely sciatica problems) that I've never experienced before. No amount of seat adjusting, or extra cushions or pillows, does anything to fix the problem. I'm facing a visit to the chiropractor to investigate the cause, but everything seems to point to the dang Subaru seats. I'm not at all unusual in my body type/frame/weight, so this is incredibly frustrating, especially since the OB, and even the Forester, are otherwise good vehicles and had everything I need at a good price.
View 21 RepliesI don't know when it happened, but the compass does not show on my MFD anymore. I have been through all of the menus in the mfd and can't find anything about turning it on. Oddly enough, I can't find the menu for setting the area for the compass either. I do have a Vag-com but where to look using it.
View 10 RepliesMy hight beam went off and doesn't work anymore ..my fuse box is the problem and i dont want to replace it cuz its too expensive maybe a chip inside not work right and in my car when i switch the gear to d the hight beam turns on On 6 volts day and night . Now its doesn't work ether the 6 or 12 volts .. How to fix it?
View 2 RepliesMy 99 Subaru Legacy Outback has an issue w/ the air/vent/defroster selections. The lights sometimes don't lite up and when that happens, the selection doesn't work. It sounds like the fan is working but the air is not coming out. If it's a vacuum leak, can I fix it by finding a leaky hose or is it an involved process?
View 1 RepliesI had my car in the shop to have the seat-back recline motor replaced several weeks ago and just noticed that the seat no longer reclines (again) and now neither of the seat heaters work anymore. The seat did recline when I left the dealer but I didn't check the seat heaters. Is it possible a fuse for the seating heat unit blew? Unfortunately I can't find my owner's manual to look up the fuse schematics.

View 3 RepliesTruck is 08 f350 lariat with minor issues. Both seat heaters don't get hot. Click is heard under driver seat. Both dash lights come on. No heat. Steering wheel fan control won't turn fan up. Turns it down fine.
PO put aftermarket HID with ballasts and bulbs and factory light housings. Factory housings scatter light and they are waaayyy bright. Can't drive anywhere with out blinding someone. What aftermarket projectors will work with HID set up I already have?
Both front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter
View 3 RepliesIn some areas, the internal PTC cabin heaters were missing the relays and didn't work. They mentioned that the relays were in the glove box and that they easily installed them manually. There were no relays in my glove box, but I couldn't be sure if they were installed. So I took a picture of my "relays and fuses box" for someone with experience to examine. Are the PTC heater relays installed in my car?

I've been dealing with an A/C issue for a while, ever since last summer. A black on black car is hot enough as it is and with no A/C, it sucks. I took it to the local specialist, not the stealership, Anyway, he looked over it and found that one component wasnt even wired up so he wired it up and fixed it and put some freon in it and it seemed to work fine.... until the freon escaped.
View 4 RepliesSo my ac stopped working, well actually I bought the car in the winter and never realized it didn't work until the summer rolled around. The clutched pulley won't engage and I don't know why. I checked all the fuses and checked the the pressure in the system and its all good.
Here's the weird part through. I put my multimeter on the connector for the compressor and it reads 12v whether I have the ac on or not.
AC on a R32 TURBO with fmic is working and cold. blowing around 55* in the shop, idling outside for a long time. everything works great.
drive it about 20 minutes or so.... get hot and doesn't work anymore. pressures are good, fans both work, car doesn't heat up past where it should be.
When I turn the Car on the factory Key Fob Doesn't work anymore. How can I change this? The reason I ask is that I want to install a remote start add on from Avital (4003), so I can use the factory remote to start the car, keep car locked while its running, then uses remote to unlock the car, get in and drive away. I don't want an extra remote hanging around since i am forced to carry the toyota key anyway. How to fix this or break this so it does what i want?
