03 vue 3.0. Oil is dripping onto front manifold. Why is there so much buildup on front surface of cover? Oil does not flow uphill. The manifold is directly below this spot. Could it be oil vapors/condensation somehow collecting on this surface? If PCV was bad would oil seep out a bit around fill port opening?

I spent a grand on new suspension from cary and got the "correctly valved bilsteins". The truck is my wife's daily driver and we treat the thing like a baby, yet one of the front bilsteins has enough oil dripping from it that the bottom of the shock mount and the metal below has a drip on it at all times.

Recently I've been losing a decent amount of coolant, and I noticed a puddle of water forming up right in front of my front right tire. I've inspected the engine bay, and the water seems to be coming from beneath the coolant reservoir itself, and forming a puddle under the windshield washer bottle. Which ends up dripping under the bumper in front of the right tire.
I didn't have any time to do more inspection, not even to take pics. The car is left at home as i don't want to drive it while it's leaking. Where to inspect or which parts to take off in order to spot the leak... No overheating has occurred, yet.
My 1.2 54plate Corsa has been dropping a very small amount of fluid its dropping from the front left hand side but not sure on exact location the fluid is to watery to be oil I think but is worrying me it seems to be covering a fairly large area under the car but it doesn't drop only in very small quantities?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius. I came home the other day and parked the car in the garage. I came back out the next morning to find a large puddle of water in the garage and the car still dripping. The drip is from the PS front bumper area just ahead of the front PS wheel. This is not the typical AC water puddle; we have two Prius so I am familiar with that one. I searched here and found a few threads on water pump issue but the description did not quite match what I have going on.
View 7 RepliesApparently, VW assumes that if you have a sunroof, you must be willing to tolerate rainwater dripping on your front seats and running inside the headliner. I can accept almost anything, but this is beyond belief.
I have seen a mention or two of water on the floor (and I didn't even check for that), maybe a leaking sunroof before, but I never thought it would happen to me.
Ok so I bought this 2012 f250 and I had a couple questions.
1. I checked the Frame for rust n it was fine. I didn't look at the other parts until I got it home. It does have some light to moderate rusting on other areas under the engine compartment. Ex axle, drive shaft, some of the steering components. Exhaust Manifold is pretty rusty though. What can I do about that?
2. I noticed a little bit of oil, not dripping, on the underside of the front of the engine. I do have an extended warranty so i hope it will cover that. It's pretty extensive of a warranty. I took some pics of the area where there is oil. What could it be?

Stopped after a hard pull and noticed I had coolant dripping off the front sensor on the Brake Master cylinder. Coolant level was down in the Degas bottle. Searched everywhere for the source of the leak, and couldn't see anything. Today the drip had stopped, but when I squeezed the rear heater return hose under the Degas bottle it appeared to have a wet spot form.
I'm thinking I have a very tiny pin hole, and plan on pressurizing the system to see if I can determine for sure this is where it is. Before I do though, where this high pressure leak might be coming from? Degas bottle and cap is less than a year old. Doesn't appear to be any signs of leaks around the clamps. That rear heater hose.
OK, so a friend's F150 just went up in flames in his driveway and he told me that the problem was the hot link behind a plastic/ rubber barrier at the main brake cylinder. I had a recall notice on my old truck but since I left the US and took the truck I never paid much attention to it, thinking typical overkill. Now I already heard from another buddy who caught lit brake fluid dripping onto the front tire and got the fire out before it spread and looked up the info today. Looks like our trucks are affected. Best to unplug the harness that goes into the brake master cylinder will prevent this problem from occurring? I never use cruise where I am, the roads are too small and slow.
View 6 Replies2003 F250 7.3... I noticed a water leak dripping down onto passenger side front leaf spring. I saw this before but attributed it to the AC (which kicks butt) but haven't used the AC. No scent to the clear fluid, temps all look good. Running fine. Where does the AC discharge go? Could AC be on (not on AC but set in blue zone on dial)? Reservoir looks ok but could e small volume of drips.
View 12 RepliesI was working with a friend for his 2002 Camry with a 3.0 and while looking at it he said the front exhaust manifold was clogged (The dealer told him) So I change it and tried starting it and it sounded like it was going to start then nothing. He had a timing belt put on a year ago by a dealer and it has been sitting since January. Mean while the Mice have been making themselves home and I am wondering if they got into the timing cover and did something to the teeth on the belt to make it back fire. I just put new spark plugs in and it still back fired.. Or is it coil packs.. You definitely see gas on the old plugs and smell it to..
View 2 RepliesSeveral months ago already, when I am driving up any type of slight incline, usually it happens between 2 and third gear shifting, It is an automatic, I can feel a vibration that comes through the pedal , and floor board. It actually makes the whole front end of the car shake, almost like a tremor. Over time it has gotten worse. Now when I'm sitting at a light it has a noise it makes and also rattles. It sounds somewhat like I'm grinding on the muffler, or transmission. I don't know what it is.

View 1 RepliesI hear strange sound of rubbing/howling at the front while driving. The frequency increases with the speed.I also feel little pulsation in the gas pedal. The sound goes off when the car stops rolling. The sound also get less or almost goes away when I turn steering a little bit left while driving.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2004 Saturn Vue, V6, FWD with ~170K miles. It has a rotational noise coming from the front end that I can't find/fix. My regular mechanic has replaced both front wheel bearings, the rotors and brake pads. Tires have ~35K on them and no noticeable uneven wear. They were rotated and the noise didn't go away. Mechanic thought it might be transmission, but transmission shop disagreed, but couldn't suggest an alternative. The noise is speed dependent. Initially you had to be at highway speeds to detect it, but now you can hear it at 25 - 40 mph as well. Best description is a "whoop-whoop" sound. You cannot hear the noise if the car is parked and you rev the engine.

View 1 Repliesrecently I replaced the front rotors and pads on my 02 Saturn SL2. I did this because there was a grinding sound coming from the front left wheel well and I had noticed a band around the rotor that looked gouged. All in all, about 30 minutes of work, following the Hanes manual. In the course of disassembling the front left caliper, I realized that the cause of the gouge in the rotor was from one of the tensioning clips on the caliper bracket. One of the flaps on the clip had bent back and was causing both the grinding sound and the gouge in the rotor. So naturally, I replaced all the tensioning clips as well. After putting everything back together, I took the car on a quick test drive around the block. The noise, while lessened, was still present. Furthermore, after I got to work this morning, I noticed that that there is the start of the same wear pattern on my brand new rotor.
What could be causing this problem to reassert itself?
Right Front Tire has excessive wear on Right INSIDE and car was pulling to the left. I rotated (or is it revolved?) my tires, and now the pulling has stopped......
OPINION: Bad tire that just wore poorly? Slight alignment issue that caused tire wear that then caused car pull? Wheel bearing issue causing tire wear? Or something else?
I have a 95 SL1, 175,000 miles. Both front doors and the right rear door have water leaks. Leak is at the top edge of doors. Seals look ok. During heavy rain it is bad, soaking the seats and floor boards. Would adjusting the door lock striker by pulling the door in tighter to make a more positive seal or should I replace the door seals. I have friends you own Saturns and they have similar problems with door water leaks.
View 5 RepliesSince my first service, I have had a clicking type noise in my front end of the car when I am driving slowly (parking, pulling into my driveway). The dealer first said that it could be the brakes setting up after the car sat for a while. They "could not duplicate" the sound when the car was dropped off, but I still hear when I drive.
View 30 RepliesMy drivers front signal does not work. its not the bulb. took headlight assembly out and then the passanger side did not work and the drivers side did. check passenger side. now it switched again. now drivers side is out and passenger side works. both parking lights work fine. no clue what's going on
