I have a 2001 saab 95 se and half of the cars heat works the other doesnt only cold are comes out and its not a good feeling in the winter. Only the drivers side vents push cold air all others work fine even in the back.
View 30 RepliesLately, in my 2004, with the climate control OFF, and recirculate setting OFF (outside air selection), I seem to still be getting cold air in thru the vents. The air flow selections are all working appropriately between defroster, feet, vent. When I select the OFF button, the fan stops but the last selected air flow stays highlighted - and the OFF button is still black (or, unselected).
QUESTION - I swear I remember the OFF button highlighting when turning the climate control OFF. Am I just imagining this or could it be the source of my air leak? Is your climate control OFF button highlighted when you turn your climate control off. I need a reality check.
So in the past week only on certain days I have lost my ability to change zones for where my nice refreshing cold air blows on me from. It only blows out of the defrost vents. I here a fluttering noise under the dash when this happens. Also under the hood where all the AC hoses and such are located I feel cold air coming from inside the black box just next to what looks like the blower fan assembly. I don't believe I should be feeling that.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2000 yukon and the climate control stopped working. The defrost works just fine but the heater/ac stopped working nothing blows out from my vents when ac/heater setting is on. I checked all fuses and wires and everything is ok and connected. I just replaced my cd player and the next day climate control stopped working. I went back and checked the wireing of the cd player as well, everything is fine. Would i need a new climate control, or senser or is there a fuse on the heater itself.
View 1 RepliesRecently my Climate Control System on Gen 3 has been misbehaving. A few weeks ago, I could not get cold air out of the AC, and then just as quickly as it stopped working, it started working again. Then yesterday, I started noticing coolant temps on the Scan Gauge rising to 215 - 220 F, which seemed quite a bit higher than the 195 limit I had set for operating with grill blocking, so I turned on the Heater and brought it down to 195, and when I got home, I checked and the coolant level seems OK, and it was under pressure.
View 6 RepliesI have a 05 Avalon XLS and I've just discovered an issue with my climate control. It's that time of year that things are warming up so we started using A/C and found that driver's side vents are blowing warm air while passenger side vents are blowing cold. I've tried varied temps and dual mode on and off as well as auto and manual control. Nothing makes a difference. I suspect some sort of thermostat for the driver's side, but I really have no clue.
View 1 RepliesI have a SAAB 2000 95, and the heat isn't working. I was told by a local shop that the blend door motor isn't opening to allow the system to switch from air to heat. He said that the heating system was working, but that the hot air can't exit the dash. He said it would have to be repaired at a dealership.
View 3 RepliesWhen I turn on the heat, I only get hot air through the drivers side vent,the passenger side vent is very cold. I had it in to be worked on (at a Non-Toyota shop)and they tore it completely apart and could not diagnose the problem. It affects the entire system,meaning the air going to defrost is also hot on the drivers side and cold on the passenger side.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2008 Toyota sienna XLE and just recently I have been unable to change the heating/cooling zones. For instance I can't change it to defrost even if I press the defrost button. Right now it is stuck on vents. It's all electronic controls on my model and even if the display is showing feet or defrost it is still coming from the vents. I live in New Hampshire and on cold snowy days I've got to be able to change which zone I want heat.

View 7 RepliesI just bought a very nice Lexus 2007 with a extend warranty from Toyota. This car is a dream to drive but one problem I have encountered, how to fix is the Climate control feature.
Sometimes my unit works properly then it stops responding. The problem I'm having is that the climate control button when pressed wont stay on the control setting on the Nav screen and goes back to the radio station screen.
I also can't control the temp up or down on either driver or passenger side. The only way it works is by using voice commands. I can't turn it off at all. I m going to take to the dealer but they said they never heard so a thing. But I showed the dealer today and he said there is a problem.
The climate control can be completely off (fan, everything)... and my vents will commonly continue to blow (room temp) air. Don't know if I'm missing something here. This is while in motion or stopped.
View 1 RepliesI have a 97 E-150 with A/C. When I turn on the climate control unit to either heat or a/c and the blower motor fan control switch to any setting I do not feel anything coming from any vents above or below the dash. However every once in awhile I can hear that it is putting a small strain on the motor as the motor tends to bog down a little like it normally does when the a/c is on. When the heater control unit is turned off there is no strain on the motor.
I don't want to go replacing things and blowing money that isn't necessary on parts that aren't bad. I would like to get this fixed before the cold weather actually gets here.
Why my 1995 740i only blows out cold on the drivers side and warm on the pass side? this happens when i put the a/c on.
View 3 RepliesThe AC works, but just not well enough on a really hot day. On a day in the 90s I have to put it on Max AC and even then it does not cool down for a while and the air out of the vents is not ice cold.
So, it works, but I cannot tell if there is something wrong or not. I recently put in a can of AC Pro and it did not change anything.
I have a 77 ford f100 I am restoring. I have two factory am/fm radios. I bench test both with antenna male plug all the way in, and the fm works fine on both radios. The only way to get am to work, is to slide the male antenna plug all the way out till it is just touching, then if I jiggle it, the radio plays.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2006 F-250 Super Cab with climate control. The last three years when the temp exceeds about 85 degrees outside it acts up. It will switch from the AC vents to defrost and blow normal air through, not ac cold. Then it will switch back, when doing so I can hear the internal deflector shudder. It will do this every few minutes. It is extremely annoying. All other times of the year it works fine. My local dealer had the truck last year, but could not find anything wrong. I have used the search and also Googled and while I find similar problems nothing exactly the same.

View 4 RepliesThere is an intermittent buzz coming from the center console of my 2010 Prius trim level 2. It seems to be coming from the climate control system. It lasts for about three seconds, and it sounds like a fan with a bad bearing or rubbing against something else.
The buzz occurs when starting the vehicle after it has been off for several hours, and intermittently while driving (maybe once every couple of days), and exactly one minute after powering off. It began occurring a few months ago.
I've got a 2004 Silverado 2500, crewcab, longbed with a 8100cc gas engine. The truck has 80,000 miles and is in great condition. There's just one little problem - the climate cntrol system will occassionally go to completely hot. When it started a couple years ago, it was weeks between occurences. Now it's about every day and can be multiple times a day. When the system goes to hot, the only way to get back to the proper setting is to turn off the ignition and then restart.
It was happening on both the driver and passenger sides, but the first attempt to repair this issue was to change the envirenmental control computer - now the heat only happens on the driver side. The passenger side remains as set.
