Door speakers work for a few seconds when the stereo is turned on, but the door volume is just a bit lower than the front speakers. Then the door speakers stop sounding while the other car speakers continue. How can the intermittent door speaker function be corrected?
View 3 RepliesSo I just replaced the stock head unit in my 2005 ford f150 with a brand new Sony one. Install went pretty smooth and I had every thing working pretty quick. So about an hour after the install I got in my truck to drive home and everything was working fine until about 5 minutes into driving all the door speakers just stopped working.
(Music was not blaring). Sub still works but that's it. No sound from the door speakers what so ever. I checked the fuse and the head unit. And all the fuses related to audio in the fuse box. Everything looks normal. Head unit powers on fine. Just no sound from any door speakers. The only thing that plays sound is the sub.
The stock stereo doesn't use the full range of speakers unless I use XM or my ipod. I'd love to listen to the radio with the same range of sound. Is there a code fix from the dealer?
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've waited 5+ years to try and fix it.

2007 3.5L xle... I have the JBL stereo ( no gps ), and the lcd screen works, I can change from am, fm, aux, cd.. BUT I have no sound coming from the speakers. Every function on the stereo itself works, BUT I have two knobs at the top of the stereo ( one on the left, volume/power ) & the right side ( bass, treble, balance and fade ) .
Left knob push to power on and off = works
Left knob volume control = no and does not display volume level on lcd screen either
Right knob = nothing works
I have a 2.4L 2003 Camry. No modifications other than a new HU that's been in place for years. I do also have a Sirius radio that plugs into 12v socket.
About a year ago, the only speed that will work for my windshield wipers is the high speed. Every now and then, i can use the other speeds, but they will only work for a few seconds. Recently, I was driving the highway, and out of nowhere, with the wiper switch in the OFF position, my wipers started working. I had to switch it to the fast speed a few times then OFF to get them to stop.
Thinking it was a motor issue, i first took both arms off, then ran the wipers. They work perfectly. It's as if as soon as I put the arms back on, they become "too heavy" for the motor, and won't work in any of the other settings (I guess that's the best way that my mind makes sense of it.
I also experience the door lock issue (sometimes using the key fob will only lock/unlock 3 out of the 4 doors)...
I have a 2009 corolla XRS with the JBL speaker package and recently received a new stereo GPS unit from eonon, the GM5169.[URL] Their website says its suppose to work with the model car and year, but did not say anything about not working with the JBL speakers.
When I went to install it yesterday the wiring harness did not match up with the set up that was already in the original stereo. The only one that did connect was the controls for the steering wheel.
My P is partly laid up with a battery conditioner permanently attached and is used only every few weeks. Once the ignition is turned on, any music is damped and a distinct rapid 'chirping' noise is heard, for about 3 seconds. The music then ramps back up and all is well. No warnings, lights or other indications whatsoever. The battery voltage seems fine and she starts beautifully. My suspicion is that it may be battery or immobiliser related. My primitive VCDS gives no codes.
View 2 RepliesSo as of last night my radio is not cooperating. I had the battery disconnected due to other work on the Ex and now I am having radio problems. When the key is turned the radio "buzzes", from the unit itself, not the speakers. It seems as though as soon as power is applied it is trying to eject a disc but no buttons are pressed. It lasts about 15 seconds and then stops. I also have CD error showing on the display. I have read the multitude of issues with the factory head unit but hoping I can fix it, maybe CD is just stuck?
View 8 RepliesI have a 2006 Saab 9-3. Whenever I come to a stop and press the accelerator it is slow to accelerate. The check engine light is on, too. The rpm's do not rev up and the car slowly creeps by then eventually will start to get going. I took it in to the mechanic and they told me I need a new throttle body which they just put in. The car worked when I drove it home. Then after a couple of days it is doing the same thing.
View 6 RepliesI HAVE A 2005 f-150 LARIET 5.4 lt. I have been having a problem with my battery being drained. My stereo has been staying on once the truck has been turned off. It has also been coming on when the truck is parked all by itself and draining the battery. Sometimes when i am driving in the truck and turn the stereo on it wont come on, ten minutes down the road the stereo will all of a sudden come on. I have tried removing the relay for the stereo, no difference. I have also removed all fuses for the stereo and entertainment system, yet the draining of the battery is still occurring. What the problem could be?

I noticed there are three wire connector(besides antenna) connects to original audio system, I unplugged all of them, I plugged two of them to the new audio system, should I plugging in the other one back to it, does that work?
I recenty was having some problems with my 2003 6.0 liter. My FICM connection was not seated all of the way which casued my truck to just die without warning....... AFter I had fixed that, my stereo died. Just dead??? Nothing...EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS???
So, after I had messed with everything I could think of, I thought, OK new DVD/Stereo time.
I checked fuse #32 which was the fuse to my stereo. The fuse is fine...BUT...There's no friggen power to the fuse via my test light. Test light works on other fuse spots so I know i"m not getting power to the fuse #32.
Since I don't have any power to this fuse....WHAT NOW???? How to trouble shoot this problem?
I've bought 2011 prius and found out that the front speakers (in the doors) don't work and all the other speakers work perfect. I took the radio out (without nav and without jbl) and checked if everything is connected. Everything was fine. I checked if the speakers were connected and removed the door panels to check it. Everything was fine again. What could be wrong? Are there any other connections I should check?

View 4 Replies2003 camry 2.4 ... This is what is happening, cooling fans will not come on except when the AC is turned on and they will stop working when the AC is turned off, otherwise the car will over heat.
This is what I have done...Replaced the fans (because the radiator fan was bad, after hooking them up directly to the battery). I checked all the grounds, including the one under the intake, checked the fuses, checked relays using 12vots to the relay and used a ohm meter to see if it made contact when activated, on the three fan relays. Replaced and tested the new radiator sensor using a pot of water on the cooking stove with a cooking temperature gauge and ohm meter. It tested ok.
Unplug the radiator sensor while the car is running, the fans will come on, but go off as soon as it is plug back in, even when the motor is over heating. Also replaced the thermostat.
What can I do next, before I burn the motor up trying to fix it? Motor just started running rough. Just now pulled up a code of the number three cylinder miss firing
I have a 2014 f250 with the my ford touch radio. In February I had to have the audio control module replaced because it was shorting out internally. Since then I've had a crackling noise in my speakers when the radio is turned up over half way. I'm about to drop it off at the dealer for the 3rd time and I'm going crazy!

I would like to know why I am not hearing the two bottom speakers in the back-passenger sides.-Is that supposed to be only the subwoofer?
So I was driving as usual and out of nowhere my front speakers stopped working. Everything started playing out of the rear speakers and my fade was still centered. I tried the hard reset with the pin and all, shuts the touchscreen and radio off, hit the power button, and nothing changed. Well, my setting were all changed but nothing changed with the front speakers. If I push the fade all the way up to the front, the radio is just silent. Can't figure out what I should do since it seems like a thousand people had this problem and it was fixed by resetting.
View 4 RepliesToyota corolla 2013 automatic gear reverse lights don't work after I installed new stereo it's my fault i shorted 12v positive backup (reverse) light trigger camera stereo v12+ cable to ground while backup (gear R) in place. As a result reserve lights don't work beside gear indicator doesn't show on main screen. I can drive without problem but problem still intact.
I checked all fuses and they are all okay I need to identify problem or possible repair too I only find 2 fuses behind glove box i think they call "instrument panel" there are bunch of cable and underneath of cables there is only 2 rectangle shape fuses I could not see anything else, the other fuse box is in engine compartment i thoroughly tested each small fuses they are all okay is there anything else i forgot to check ?

In both my 1998 and 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport the speakers in the LF door went dead. In both cases I found a factory splice that went bad. The splice was in the wiring harness that passes through the "boot" from the door to the body. Who ever heard of a splice in an area where the wires flex? I ran a new wire to fix it. I have a copy of the wiring diagram.
