Kia - Spectra :: Air In The Coolant?

Kia Spectra have a problem with coolant swishing around behind the dashboard? Any permanent repair for this? After having the coolant purged of air, it is quiet for, at best, 2 months.

Kia - Spectra :: Key Stuck In ACC Position
I just bought my kia from its first owner and love it. However, one of the first issues I came across was when I tried to turn the car off and the key stuck in the ACC position. I've had this happen nearly half the time I turn the key. My best fix for it is to turn the car back over and continue to try turning it off. Sometimes it needs a forceful turn to get it to work. I brought it to the dealership and they "couldn't duplicate it" but factored out it being an issue with the stealing deterrent the car has built in. My husband hasn't had issue with it either so now they are looking at me. I swear it happens a lot! I've tried turning the wheel, lifting the key in the process of the turn, being gentler with the turn, everything. It's still happening.

I just replaced the ignition coil as recommended by the computer and the car ran fine for a few days. Now it starts missing about a mile after starting, for a while. Then it almost never misses after it is fully warmed up. The computer does not find any issues at this time.

I have a 2004 KIA Spectra with an automatic transmission which now has slightly over 100k miles. It has been a very reliable car up until last year when it stopped shifting into third gear. It shifts easily from P to R to N to D, shifting easily to 1st and 2nd, yet when the speed is met to allow changing to 3rd it becomes neutral, slipping only back to second when the speed of the car slows. My question: Is this something electrical or mechanical?

I have a 2004 Kia Spectra (it is actually a 04/05 split year that generally takes the 05 parts) and when we turn on the car, sometimes the air conditioning/heat doesn't work. I can feel a little cold/warm coming out, but when I turn it higher nothing blows out at all. I can sometimes get it to work properly after driving for like 5 minutes on the highway with the radio off. Other times it turns on right away, but if I stop at the store and turn off the car, the next time it will stop working. What could be causing this?

Changed the slave as a start hoping that's what's causing my gf's clutch to mess up every time it warms up. We bleed it and it was working great but spongy. We tried to rebleed with no tools just the pedal pump method and now have absolutely zero pressure unless u Manually push in slave cylinder but then nothing again once u pen the bleeder. We tried a vacuum bleeder too now but that's all we can get our hands on. Is slave in the master? If so how do we get it out.

My boyfriend has a 2008 Kia Spectra that appears to have developed a mind of its own! The doors randomly lock and unlock at very odd times - usually when we are trying to enter the vehicle. We click the key fob "unlock" and the car unlocks and then immediately locks again. It has become a game of "how fast can we get the doors open"! Sometimes it goes into what we call "fits" and will click click click click - open/close open/close, etc. This will go on for nearly 10 to 15 seconds as we just sit in the car. He has taken it to the dealership on two different occasions, but OF COURSE, it never does any of the things I've just mentioned! I think the dealership thinks he is crazy. What could be causing this weird "ghost"???

My speedometer stops working when the car warms up. I've taken it to be looked at but it does not "throw any codes" . I've looked at forums and see that this seems to be a common problem. It appears replacing sensors does not work based on the forums. One says a fix is "THERE IS A SHORT WITHIN THE WIRING HARNESS. I had to slice the signal wire at the sensor then through the firewall and spliced in to the signal wire at the instrument cluster. IT WORKS GREAT NOW" which I don't understand. If I tell this to a mechanic would they understand?

Last Thursday I was coming home from work and the first time I came to a stop the R32 began to buck just as I gave it a little gas. Tried stopping and starting it but it continued to do it the rest of the trip home. Fast forward to this morning (first time we've driven it since) and it completely stalled on my wife on her way to work. She managed to get it started and get it home. I drove it around the block and sure enough when it comes to a stop after moving it stalls. I was able to consistently get it to stall just by getting it moving and then coming to a stop. I scanned it for codes last night and got a couple of different codes. Ignore the photo-sensor one - I am fixing that just need to find what I did with it.
Note the address 17 stuff - 2 codes to do with failure of the fuel sending unit. Could this possibly cause the car to stall out?
Also, address 16 (steering wheel) - RossTech seems to think these codes mean a faulty ignition switch.
I've never done data logging before but I was able to capture one of the stalls with VCDS. What columns would be useful to see and troubleshoot?

Kia - Spectra :: Blower Won't Come On After Changing Dead Battery
I have a 2006 Kia Spectra. I had to replace the battery earlier today as the old one was completely dead. the ac, heat, and defrost worked perfectly before and after the replacement. after I drove around and did what I had to do I got in the car for the 3rd time and neither of those would come on anymore. what could be the cause? all the fuses have been checked and are good.

My 2009 Kia Spectra won't start when the weather is extremely cold. I live in NH, right on the coast, and the car's parking spot affords it no protection from strong winds that we get here and therefore low temps. There was a cold spell with winds roughly a month ago and the following morning the car wouldn't start. the electronics inside still worked, but it didn't start. When it warmed up later that day it started up normally. the same series of events has been repeating itself over this last bit of cold weather, so I replaced the battery (upgrading from 550 CCA to 650 CCA). II went to start it this morning and once again, it won't start. I've had an oil change with all the fluids checked and replaced or filled just a couple days ago. The car will start in the morning with jumper cables. What might be going on here?

I have a 2004 Kia Spectra EX (2.0L Engine) that has begun to sputter and hesitate when I am accelerating, regardless of whether I am accelerating from a standstill or on the highway. It feels like the engine is either not getting enough gas, or that the air/gas mixture is not correct. The car has almost 150,000 miles and we have recently (within last 10,000 miles) changed the spark plugs and air filters. Where to begin looking? The car, from what I can find, does not have a PCV; otherwise, that would be my first suspicion.

I feel recently that when I am sitting at a red light with my foot on the brake, and the AC blasting, that sometimes the car begins to creep forward until I push harder on the brake. At times, the amount of pressure on the brake pedal is fine to hold the car still, but other times, it isn't.

I have a 09 Spectra. This morning when I went to start, it turned over fine but just wouldn't catch. I tried it and gave it a little gas and it fired up just fine and I drove to work with no issues. No CEL came on or anything.
This is the second time it's happened. First was over a year ago and after it sat for a week while we were on a cruise. This weekend it didn't go anywhere. I just moved it in the driveway a little bit so I could rotate the tires and and moved it back.
Any clue on what it could be? If what I understand is correct, pressing the gas pedal on a fuel injected car shouldn't matter, but apparently it did, so I'm not sure what's what.
Kia - Spectra :: 2009 - Engine Start Racing When Try To Come To A Stop
I drive a 2009 Kia Spectra. Mileage - 89,000. About a year ago, very infrequently, I started noticing that the engine would start racing when I would try to come to a stop. Now, almost every time I start the car, the engine is racing while it is still in park. And when I come to a stop sign or stoplight, the engine races when I put on the brakes. This is NOT an issue with the mat hitting the accelerator. Lately, also, the car is starting to die for no reason when I bring it to a stop. I took this in to a mechanic, they could not find a problem--they cleaned off some cables but the engine was racing when I turned it on to drive home.
