View 3 RepliesOne of my headlight is burned out and I would like to replace. I don't want to go with OEM. Looking something better and brighter. 2008 GX....
View 1 RepliesOne of the small bulbs in the corner of the headlight assembly is burned out. does any one know how to replace it?
View 1 RepliesHow to replace low beam bulbs? all info i found was talk about whether they were covered under warranty or not? I got extended maintenance warranty to 100k miles, but bulbs, I don't think so. I just noticed today that both were out on low beam, high beam are fine. Should I take car to dealer? or is this something I can do myself?
View 3 Replies2002 Passat W8. I need to replace the Right low beam xenon bulb. Looking for some pics on how to replace this! Or write a detailed description step by step on how to get this sucker changed out.

I was looking at ECS and saw ES#1059.
Just want to make sure that this is the right bulb.
Checked the tech folder, what is the secret to replacing the driver side bulb?
View 7 RepliesReplaced both bulbs (left and right even though only left was out) with fresh H7s and my left headlight still doesn't work. so i thought, maybe fuses, but manual only references fuse #5 on both left and right fuse boxes as headlight control - but for XENONs only. Since i don't have HIDs, there is no fuse in spot #5 in either fuse box. Any other fuses i should check that i may be overlooking in the manual?
View 3 RepliesI have had 5 bulbs burnout in 2 months. I'm not touching the bulb and I am using grease. I've tried the higher end sylvania bulbs and they still don't last. What might be causing this?
View 12 RepliesMy driver's side Headlight Bulb Low-Beam Part of Bulb is out again. Since about a years time every few months the low-beam part of the bulb goes out & I replace the bulb. I have replaced about "4" bulbs in about a years time. The high-beam part of the bulb always still works. At a glance all wiring appears good; connector seems fine & wires all down into engine bay still encased in plastic tubing. I always use grease on the connector-wire contacts as it states in instructions when replacing bulb. The bulb housing shows no signs of problems. I think if I take it to the dealer they will just find that it all checks good. But I think has to be something like a short or something wrong.
View 5 RepliesWhere can I buy the bulb and what is the model number/size of the bulb? My headlines aren't customized or fancy. It's regular. I need to replace the right/passenger side. And how do you replace it? I'd like to save money. I read somewhere that micro clamps are necessary (for 2003 model at least) because it's hard to get in or out? If there's a DIY tutorial with pictures, that'd be great... I drive a 99 1.8 Passat...
View 3 RepliesLooking for a rundown on LED versus halogen headlight bulbs, especially output and life? Stock halogen bulbs using 55 watts have a 4000K output, and I notice the Chinese imports' output is 3200-3500K. Does that translate into less bright? Also, the windshield wipers shudder across the windshield a lot unless there's a huge amount of rain--changing to new blades didn't make any difference.
View 5 RepliesAre there any 2009 Sonata owners that's changed the low beam headligh bulb themselves? I need specific directions for installing. The manual instructions are not very clear.
View 10 RepliesI had a low beam bulb go out a month ago on the driver side. I bought some silvania silverstars to install on both sides. The drivers side went fine but as I installed the passenger side the inside reflector housing came loose, apparently popping off some spring clips inside the headlight housing. The passenger side headlight assembly now pointed towards the ground 10 feet in front of the car... I tried to adjust the screws to bring the light pattern back up. No joy.
Anyway I messed and messed trying to get the reflector housing to fit back on the spring clips. I ended up having to pull the bumper apart and the whole front side of the car to totally remove the headlight assembly. Once I got it out I found these little ball/socket spring clips and was able to put the assembly back together.
Now my issue is I have lost track of the adjustment screws and where the headlights should point. Any formula such as, "park your car 10ft from the garage door on the flat level. The low beam should be 30 inches off the ground on the bottom and the 40 inches at the top. The beam should be 50 inches from the center line of the car" Something like that so that I can get my headlights back to factory settings.
I've been searching around and have been reading that the easiest way to do it is to remove the front bumper. I'm really hoping this is not the case. I've only taken a quick look at it, but it does seem that some things will need removed. Any quick explanation of the easiest way to get the assembly out of there?
View 4 RepliesI have searched high and low, and I cannot find how to replace the factory low beam projector style headlight bulb on my wife's 2013 Tiguan SEL. It came with the factory LED style HID lights. There were a ton of videos and how to's for the regular Tiguan headlight replacement, and for aftermarket Ebay LED ones, but I can find anything about how to replace the factory low beam projector bulb, other than "take it to a dealer". My thinking is 'if the dealer can do it, so can I'! There has got to be a way. I can't get the wire bulb retainer loose, or get the bulb out of the headlight housing.
View 2 RepliesThe passenger side HID bulb of my 2005 RX330 need to be replaced, how to? Also there is condensed water in the assembly. I am going to replace it later. Where are other screws beside two on the top?
View 14 RepliesI had the heater core flushed, inspection done, a tie rod end replaced, and both low beams replaced to pass inspection in January. The driver's side low beam stopped working after a week.
When I would hit a bump in the road, it would start working for a while till I hit another bump and then it would go off. Now the driver's side low beam never works.
I could have gone back to the mechanic, but it's an 80 mile round trip(they used to be a lot cheaper than the dealership). Now that the weather is starting to get better, do you think it's a simple problem that I can fix myself? I don't want to waste 80 miles worth of gas just to have them charge me for something that they already charged me to fix. The next time I'm due an oil change I may go there and demand that they fix the light too, but I'm not going to waste 80 miles of gas just for the light.
2008 Santa Fe. Removed 2 bolts and 1 nut as shown in manual. cleared the clip at the bottom outboard corner. What else am I missing? I'm still Unable to remove the headlight bucket. It will only come out about an inch or so then feels like something else is holding on.
View 8 RepliesI am planning to replace the headlight (high beam) light of my 2006 Toyota Camry. The original OEM light lasted for nearly 6/7 years.
I noticed in some forum that "Sylvania 9005SU SilverStar Ultra High Performance Headlight Bulbs" is good, but it has short life of less than 1 year.
How to change the Lightbulb in a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT? I can do most maintenance on vehicles, but this one is annoying. It is not very intuitive and I feel like there is a lot to do just to take out the lightbulb on a vehicle. I don't want to do trial and error on this and add more work for myself.
