So I just bought a used 2012 Honday Odyssey and I noticed that anytime I take it out for a drive and return home, the front passenger side floor carpet is slightly damp. So is the carpet on the floor of the luggage compartment at the back of the vehicle. I've also noticed that the drivers side carpet smells a bit like gas when this happens.

View 2 RepliesJust noticed the passenger side floor has water frozen on carpet. There is no evidence of water on the sides or from the dash area. I reached under the car and I can see 2 holes, one of them is plugged with a rubber grommet/plug and the other I can stick my finger way up into it. My wife has been driving this in the rain a couple days last week.
Is that a possible source for the water getting in? Can I order a replacement plug if it fell out?
I just did read something about a "sealing cover" and I matched against the driver side and it does appear to be missing. Seems to be a round 40mm plug. I measured the driver side and plug is 40mm and the hole is more like 25mm. Is this the right part?
So now that heat of summer is here, I have been running the AC and noticed a problem. The carpet under the floor mat on the passenger side is wet. It is not from the rain but only after I run the AC. There is a good amount of water in the carpet. The condensation also runs out from under the truck like normal. Any fix to keep me from spending money at the dealer? 2011 F150 XLT.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 Chevy Equinox that has developed an odd issue. For about a month, after a good rain, I have a puddle of water in the floor carpet of the front passenger side - while parked. It develops from the center of the car to about the middle of the floor below the seat. So since that is the case I don't think the side window is leaking but I have looked for signs of water coming in. Nothing. The windshield was replaced about 5 years ago but again, no signs that water is coming in from there either. It can't be from the bottom of the car, right? I mean it happens while it is parked, so that doesn't make sense.

View 18 RepliesI have a 2005 Honda Pilot that has developed a bad leak. The floor on the driver and passenger side gets wet. The driver side is usually damp and the passenger side floor is soaked, squishy, like a wet sponge. I have taken apart the dash and cleaned out the AC ducts and replaced the filter. I found some small leaves, not a lot. No luck, still wet. I took off the plastic cowl under the windshield, it was really clean there, no leaves or junk and no signs of water there at all. Still gets wet.
The area that is wet is right along the rocker panel near the plastic cover for the door sill, on both driver and passenger sides of the car. The carpet is only wet in the front seat "foot wells", not the back seat areas. I looked at the seals, they seem to be working fine and cannot find anyplace water could be getting in. Either from the top side or underneath. I thought it was drying out then we got lots of rain the other day and the passenger side is saturated and the driver side is damp again. Not sure if it was from driving or sitting in teh driveway/parking lot at work. The car is starting to smell!
I've had a wet passenger side rear floor in my Accord for the past year now when I run the A/C. Two mechanics including a Honda dealership have told me the A/C drain is not plugged. One of them ran compressed air through the drain and it seemed to be better for about a week and then started again. How to investigate the matter further. The floor does not smell like coolant. It just feels like and smells like water.

View 13 RepliesFor some reason my drivers side floor mat/carpet keeps kicking itself loose of the two hooks there to keep it in line. Then it moves quickly forward to stuff itself under the pedals.
The dealer indicated he had not seen this problem and didn't really have a suggestion.
I noticed while vacuuming that both front carpets are damp??. I don't see any apparent leaks, what this could be?

View 4 RepliesWater intrusion problem in the cargo area of the GX? I was getting ready to wash my GX and as I was pulling out my Weather tech cargo liner... I discovered that it was completely wet underneath and the whole rear carpet was damp and slightly musty smelling. I have recently driven through two very heavy rains...but nonetheless the Lexus should be watertight... Is this a known issue? Is there an area where it is possible for water to come in through the rear floor?
View 14 RepliesI recently noticed that my passenger side carpet was wet. I took it to the dealer and they had to replace the Sunroof Drain Hose. Didn't realize that the sunroof had to be drained...Hmm anyway, they had to take practically all of the interior out in order to replace the hose. It took two days for them to finish. Unfortunately, I turned it in on a Friday and of course, the dealer was not open on the weekend. So I got a rental car from the dealer and what did they have.....a stupid chevy s10 pickup...I would think that they would rent out a VW. Well no real moral to my story just wanted to share the problem I had.

Passenger side front under carpet is wet. I pulled the carpet back and I could squeeze quite a bit of water from the foam backing.
The water was NOT red/pink in color and no smell.
I saw the a/c drain hose. PICTURE below. It seem clear and plugged into the floor pan.

I am at a loss. Is there a second a/c drain hose other than that black tube?
Some post says it could be moon roof leak. Where is the drain hose for that? My headliner etc is not wet! nor is the driver side.
Lately, I've noticed that after rain, passenger side carpet is getting wet. what I should be looking for to fix this. I can say for certainty that it happens only during/after rain.
