View 1 RepliesI see from reading the Rx350 maintenance schedule there is a task to 'Reset Maintenance Reminder Light' Is this something a DIYr can do (simple to do on my 06 IS350) or is a PITA like on a German car..have to have a 'special tool'?

View 8 RepliesThe mainteance reminder on my 2008 CRV allows me to go 12,000 miles between changes which seems crazy long on a mix of city/highway driving in extreme conditions in MN. Should I trust this thing? What kind of algorithm do they use? How hot/cold it's been?
View 14 RepliesI just changed my oil 2 weeks ago and I still have this "oil maintenance required" on my dashboard. How to reset this? I've reset the all the maintenance on my NAV screen, but to no avail.
View 1 Replies2005 Honda Accord. I have been experiencing a loss of electricity to my dashboard - the radio cuts out, tach and speedometer needles drop, sometimes warning lights come on. I don't think I have experience a loss of power with this but when it happens, it lasts less than a second.
I can go days of driving without issue. Then, in one drive it may happen four or five times. I hate the idea of taking it into the dealer on an intermittent electrical issue. That could be a real bank drain.
We own 2 2011 Prius cars bought at the same time in late May. Both have around 4600 miles on them. However, one has started showing a, Oil Maintenance is need soon , screen each time now at start up.
My question is first off, why is happening ? It was my understanding that the oil change level is 10,000 miles. Both cars were made well into the new 10,000 mile oil change requirement, so why is this light going off?
I have a 2002 Honda accord SE. It has about 194,850ish miles on her. The maintenance required light starts to flash when I turn on the car and then the light stops flashing after a bit. What it means?
I checked for any codes and there's nothing. My oil is a bit low, but not at the marker. My next due for an oil change says 195,300ish. I've never seen it flash before.
I have a 2013 LS and am getting a maintenance reminder when I start the car. I was curious to see if there was a place to see what maintenance is due in the user interface. I have looked in Maintenance, but none of the dates are set. Does it just automatically trigger from some factory reset at 4500 miles or so for the oil changes?
View 11 RepliesI have a gen 2 prius bought last year. So far I have run 9972 miles. But the maintenance reminder light is not on. I am going to change the oil any way. Just not sure why my reminder is not on. Could it be disabled?

View 4 RepliesAfter each maintenance I think my service reminder was reset to 10,000 miles. But after my 60k service it says 4700 miles until service is due. I tried resetting it myself and it still says 4700 miles. Is something wrong?
View 4 RepliesThe A/C filter light came on. After I change it, which I DO remember how to do, must I reset the reminder, which I DO NOT remember how to do...or is that automatic once the A/C filter door is opened?
View 6 RepliesHow is the oil change reminder reset? Also how is the computer reset for a new new battery?
View 8 RepliesMy 2008 Honda Accord 's dashboard Engine Malfunction Light got lit. I have driven a further 4 kilometers and stopped at a lube station and found that oil level is a little low.
Did an engine flush and refilled with synthetic oil. The MFL light is gone after a minute of starting and it stayed out.
Now the problem that I am facing is poor gas mileage. I can literally see the fuel guage going down while driving . A full tank now gets me around 200 KM rather than 550-600 which I usually get.
Google search suggested an ECU reset. Is this safe ? or should the car need to go to the service station?
I own a 1994 Honda Accord with 200,000+ miles on it. Suddenly the Dashboard controls stopped working, and the shift lever wont shift out of Park unless I manually force it to shift by inserting key in to the slot beside the shift lever. I suspect it has something to do with the brake fuse. Where the break fuse is located.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2008 Honda Accord that about 4 months ago the drl light on the dashboard would come on for a few seconds and then go off. This happened 2 or 3 times a week. During this time the driver side drl light would also quit working. A couple of weeks later it progressed to the drl dashboard light would come on, then the tpms dashboard light would also come on. After an intermittent period of time (seconds to minutes) the icon showing low tire pressure would flash for a second and the drl light and tpms light would go off. This happened maybe 3 times in a day, then not happen again for a week or so. Air pressure in all tires was correct. About week ago it progressed to the drl dashboard light and the tpms dashboard light stay on all the time and neither the drl light (drl mode or high beam or will work on the driver side. In the past few days the low beam on the driver side has also quit working.
View 1 RepliesThe leak is only present when it rains. It drops from behind the dashboard onto the foot rest (left of the break pedal) soaking the floor mat and carpet. Where is the water coming from and how can I plug the leak? 2002 Honda Accord EX...
View 3 Replieswhile driving my 1999 dodge grand caravan w/ 133,500+ miles on it the dashboard lit brighter and the seat belt reminder light came on then went off and the dashboard returned to its usual glow. What could this be?
View 4 RepliesYesterday, I turned on my car and got a message on my dash telling me to check my fuel cap. I did, and it was fine. The message still didn't go away, so when I got to work, I actually unscrewed my cap to check and make sure everything looked normal. At this point, I noticed that the metal flap that usually covers the opening of the gas tank was gone. After showing this to my neighbor, he said that it looks like there's actually an entire component missing from the mouth of the tank, and not just the flap.
I'm guessing that, the last time I got gas, this part of my gas tank went with the nozzle when I took it out. How I didn't notice this is beyond me. Unfortunately, the last time I got gas, I was 100 miles away from home.
My question is, am I in for a nauseatingly expensive repair here? Is it possible to just replace that one part, or am I going to end up replacing a whole lot more? I haven't taken it to a mechanic yet because I'm trying to go in armed with some knowledge about what can be done here.
