I have a 2002 ford taurus. It has the 3.0 ohv engine. The heater has quit working. I recently flushed the coolant system as well as the heater core and replaced the thermostat with no change in the heat situation. It will blow warm air for about 30 to 45 seconds then turns cool .
View 10 RepliesNow that the cold weather is here I wanted to fire up the seat heater, and no heat was to be had. The buttons on the dash light up. Both seats are out. Car is a 2011 TDI with 39000 miles and the cold weather pkg.
View 10 RepliesMy air conditioning on my 02 is having a issue, when you first start it and run the ac all is well and it cools perfect but then after a while it will quit working all together no more cold air, shut it off for a bit then it starts working again and repeats the process, charge is fine, been doing this all summer, it verys on how long it will work somethings for 5 minutes other times 40 minutes give or take, any thoughts?

The door locks quit working. The previous owner did the tin foil repair... I replaced the four door actuators today. Now all of the doors lock and unlock on the manual buttons. The fob doesn't work on any door.. when i try and use the door code pad, the locks go into a cycle.. the keep trying to operate by themselves. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. I can't find the door lock relays. I have most of the dash out. Where these are?
The ruck is a 2002 Ex limited v10 4x4. The cruise worked fine till my wife drove the truck! the green cruise light blinked a few times, now, there is nothing.I'm no good at electrical issues.

It has aftermarket stereo , not sure if wiring from that would affect cruise control as well as radio controls. Cruise light does not even light on dash. Clockspring? Radio wiring harness?
View 2 RepliesI have a 7.3l 02 f450. The wipers won't work on any low speeds and only on the fastest will they work. And if you switch it from the fastest to any other speeds, the wipers stop right where they are.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2002 F250, 5.4 extended cab 4x4. Factory lights. I have no turn signals. They were working just fine and without turning off the truck, all 4 corners quit working at the same time, as far as I know. The indicator lights on the instrument cluster don't work. I have checked/replaced all fuses. Replaced the switch lever and the blinker relay behind the dash. The hazards do work and always have. It might be coincidence but I believe the back-up lights quit working at the same time.

View 7 RepliesMy navigation door quit working, tilt function also, and it's stuck open. The Nav unit works fine. Dealer is telling me thousands to replace it - but I suspect it's like the Mercedes dealer where my SL was missing a $10 clip - and they wanted to replace the dashboard... I'm hoping it can be repaired. It makes a little "ping" sound then I turn the car off, but I don't hear the door motor.
View 14 RepliesBlower Motor quit, dual zone climate control system. AC will work with Recirculation mode off. Just won't blow.
Turned heater on still won't blow. Pulled and checked the following fuses: 37; 45, 37 & 15 which pulling these 3 reset the system; and pulled 24 in the battery junction box. Still not working.
Next plan is to pull Relay #1 from the battery junction box and apply 12v to see if it clicks - no click & then I'll replace it.
2001 Ford Escape.
Blend door seems to be moving properly...(or at least the control arm is...) Truck gets up to operating temperature quickly enough.
It does blow warm air, but never gets hot...can't keep up with single digit temps. Every thing looks to be operating properly...
Yesterday driving home the heat/AC turned on full bore by itself and would only blow warm air. It will turn off. The rear control works correctly but the front will not blow cool air.
View 12 RepliesAll at once my power locks and windows on all doors and the power mirrors quit working. The Driver Info center also says "Unknown Driver" when I start the car. After that happened the check engine ligth came on and when I went to get that checked there was no power to the ODB port (not sure if it is related or separate). Also, the brake, ABS, and traction control lights are on...they have been so I'm sure that is a separate issue.

I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter
View 3 RepliesJust went on a trip to SC. It was hot as hell - 100F most of the trip. The a/c would blow cool (not exactly cold) for a while and then go luke warm (way better than outside but not particularly refreshing) for a while. So I was reasonably comfortable but definitely not cold.
This would happen about every 15-30min where I felt like the compressor had stopped working for a while. I am thinking the compressor is probably limping along and about to die. Usually I thought these things just up and die though. Clogged accumulator? IDK - nothing has been done to the a/c system since 2009 head gaskets.
Sunday I bought a 2001 f250/5.4 to replace my 91 f250. I didnt drive it yesterday, but this morning on my drive to work the heater was very weak, it seemed to blow warm for the most part, but was barely pushing air even on high. I flipped it over to A/C to see if it blew any harder and it did. Does the blower motor need replace? if so why does the AC blow harder than the heater?
View 14 RepliesI am having a problem with the heater on my 98 2.7 Intrepid. Will not blow hot air when idling (just warm). After several minutes of driving with heat on air temp goes from hot to warm. It might just be me, but it seems like the air flow is cooler coming out of the defrost vents than from the dash/floor vents. Thermostat has been replaced (proper operation verified before installing). Had to replace gooseneck and heater coil supply tubing due to a leaking bleed valve. There appears to be NO air in the system.
Heater core was backflushed, there appears to be no restriction. Hose temp on exit line is approx. 15 deg. cooler than supply line when fan is running. Blend door actuator was replaced last spring (motor shorted). When temp control is moved from hot to cold temp changes drastically and door can be heard moving. On-board ATC diagnostics indicate all is good. Engine is running at normal operating temperature, not overheating or running cold. Is there a cabin filter or inlet supply for the air that could possibly be obstructed? Air flow seems adequate, not restricted. AC works fine.
I have a 2000 suburban with a 1500 motor and 300000 miles. Last year I replace the water pump and the thermostat. The heater would blow warm but not hot . But only when I start to drive. Yesterday I decide to change thermostat again thinking the new one from last year was faulty. Now the heater only blows cold air .
