I have a chevrolet optra 2007 and the hazard lights won't work unless the turn signal (left or right) is switched on at the same time. Turn signals work perfectly fine.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2003 V10 Excursion with an electrical problem. The right turn, right brake and right hazard light do not work but the flasher makes the clicking noise. When the right turn signal is on, the right front turn signal light works but is at double speed. The right rear light does not work. Same when brake and hazard are applied.
I checked the bulb socket with a multi meter and have no current. I also checked my trailer plug and have all functions work. Fuses were checked also for the brake circuit and were all ok.
The right turn signal on my 1998 Ford Explorer recently stopped working. The flasher was making a horrible buzzing sound when I tried to signal right, but worked fine signaling left.
I just replaced the flasher, which has cleared up the buzzing noise when trying to signal right. The flasher clicks like it's supposed to, but the lights still do not flash.
Here's a summary of the current symptoms:
-Hazard lights work fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash
-Left right signal indicator works fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash
-Right turn signal does not work
-Flasher clicks
-Interior indicator stash off; exterior lights stay off
What to check next???
The turn signals/hazard flasher on my 99 Sebring Jxi stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I use the signal lever or press the hazard flasher switch, you don't hear any click of the flasher relay, and the lights (front and rear, and on the dash) don't light up at all.
So far, I have:
* Checked the fuse
* Replaced the flasher
* Replaced the turn signal switch
* Replaced the flasher AGAIN (mechanic says that if there was a problem with the turn signal switch, it can burn out the flasher)
* Checked the fuse AGAIN, and even replaced it (even though it's the same fuse for the wiper/washer, and that's still working)
I asked my mechanic about it, and he said that a bad ground can also cause problems. The big question is: where do I begin to look?
I've got a 2001 f150 supercrew 4x4 with the 4.6. I plugged in trailer lights and now I have no brake, turn signal, or hazard lights. I've checked fuses and none are blown.

View 4 RepliesMy Jetta has had an off-and-on clicky turn signal sound without turn signals or hazard lights actually blinking. I put up with it for a while, but recently it's been more clicky than not. I'm aware this is a common problem. I had already tried the cleaner spray "trick" which made the problem worse if anything. Today, I removed my signal stalk as described here and gave it a cleaning. After re-assembling, the clicky problem didn't go away, and now the high beams are always on (even with the key out of the ignition, and the car isn't running). I temporarily dealt with this by pulling fuses 18 and 19 for high beams. It's an ok short-term workaround. Low beams still work fine.
I'm considering replacing the hazard signal relay, but a while ago I messed up while trying to use ghetto removal keys to pull my radio.
I have checked the fuses for the Hazard and the Turn Signals. Both look fine. I tried replacing the turn signal flasher (which was a task in itself). After all of this it is still not working. What else could it be? Simple short?

View 10 RepliesMy passenger side front signal light works properly, but when I turn my hazard lights on it will not blink normally (the other 3 blink). Inside my truck when looking at my dash I see the small green blinking arrow for the left signal, but not for the right when the hazards are on. When using the signal normally, I see the small blinking green arrow for the right signal though.

I'm trying to figure out what has failed on my 2008 Santa Fe.
After stopping at a gas station today, my right turn signal came on and stayed on. By this I mean that the right turn arrow on the dash is illuminated and both the front and rear right turn signal bulbs are illuminated. They are all on steady, not flashing. Moving the turn signal stalk/switch does nothing. They all stay on when the car is turned off and the key removed. I have to disconnect the battery to get them to shut off. I tried pulling the turn signal, hazard and cluster fuses in the dash, but they had no effect. The switch for headlamps/park lights has no effect on the right side bulbs.
The left turn signal works normally.
Also, it may be related to having unplugged the battery a couple of times, but now the CD player shows "initializing" and I can't use it. The am/fm stereo works normally.
I've blown my turn signal fuse for 3 times until the relay burned out. Now I have had cleaned turn signal switch (with CC) from all of the old stuff in there and replaced hazard switch. But it happens again! After 5 minutes driving, both fuses (7,5 AMP for turn signals and 15 AMP hazard) blown out. I'm afraid there are some shorts in wirings.
I'm looking for the wiring diagrams or any other users experience in this matter... Where shall I start from?
There was a water leakage behind and under drivers seat. I removed trims etc. to lift the carpet to take the Comfort Module for checking as there were some weird thing in overall car electric systems (central locking, saloon lightnings, electric windows and dropping gauges on instrument panel. I found a small amount of water in container, where the module is placed, but on the electric parts weren't any water marks... Also it's impossible to connect to the CCM via vag-com.
I have a 1998 Ford F150. The turn signals do not work nor the hazard flashers. When I trun on the hazard flashers(they do not come on) the turn signals will then work. Checked all fuses both under dash and in the engine compartment. With flashers turned on and using the turn signals, the relays located in engine compartment are working. It appears that the only way for the turn signals to work is to recieve power through the hazards.
View 2 RepliesThe turn signals in the car (00 1.8t) are starting to act up. One day it'll stay on the on position and wont blink when switched either to the right or left. And on another day they will just decide to start working properly again. The hazards also follow suit. Ive checked all the bulbs all are good, took them out and put back in again. Still having problems.
View 2 RepliesI turned the car on this morning and my turn signals don't work, there is no clicking sound when I flip the left or right signal and when I step on the brakes the brake lights don't illuminate. Needless to say the cars behind me don't like it when I slow down to make a turn. Can't be the bulbs and the symptoms make me think it is more than a fuse.

For some reason, the Hazard switch clicks a few times after using the turn signals (randomly), or while driving it will start clicking for a few seconds. The lights do not flash. it is only the audible sound coming from the hazard switch area.
Where does that sound come from? the hazard switch? Would replacing the switch with a new one fix it?
I have a 2013 6.7l super duty Lariat. I want to install flashing LED lights to work in conjunction with the hazard lights. The leds have their own controller and will be separate from any other lights/wiring. What I need is some way to trigger a relay to turn on the led's. Was hoping to tap into the hot lead off the hazard switch itself but that's not an option!
View 2 RepliesI just bought an 05 F250 XLT. I noticed tonight that the rear turn signals and brake lights don't work.
The front turn signals work fine, although they flash fast. I know that usually means a light on its way out. neither taillight flashes though, which puzzles me.
My second issue is that, of the 3 brake lights, only the high mounted light illuminates when I hit the brakes.
My neighbors 02 250 6.8l the turn signal/hazard relay is clicking with key off, sounds exactly like a turn signal when truck is off and switches are not engaged. Here's the weird thing, if you hit the brakes the relay stops clicking, if you engage the turn signal or the hazards the lights on the dash are in time with the relay as it should be, but when the turn signal switch or hazards are turned off the relay keeps clicking except when you hit the brakes. Also the turn signal will work with ignition off, if you pull the relay out the turn signals and hazards are inoperable but the brake lights still work. I swapped in a new relay and same thing...
