I have water leaking from bottom of motor it's look like coming from oil pan its chevy1500 1999 4/4with a v6 motor but not for sure looked at oil no water in oil it's really comes out when motor is running.
View 12 RepliesI just purchased a 2011 LE Santa Fe,(2400 mi) and have a question regarding water leaking from bottom of the engine. I called the dealer and service rep explained it is more than likely from condensation build up on heater coil and being drained through the vent tube. I believe this is normal and have observed on other vehicles I have owned during the summer months when using AC.
I don't believe I have seen this condition in the winter months 40 - 50 F degrees when using just the heater. I'm hoping this isnt systematic of another problem, that was simply explained away by dealer. It sounds logical but then, again, I have never seen it when using the heater. I do leave heater at full blast when I start the car remotely to warm up cabin temp on those cold chilly mornings.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2008 Chevy Express Explorer conversion van with a high top. We purchased the van used in great condition in 2011. The sunroof leaks. It always has. I first called the Explorer company to ask what we could do. They said we needed to replace the seal. We ordered one from them and had it replaced. I was desperate to have it stop leaking that I had my husband put clear caulk to try and seal it up.
I am at the point of putting a tarp inside to keep my kids (4) car seats dry. The water has already damaged so much. Even the wood colored plastic now has a white haze (would like to know how to fix that if possible). Most of the water soaks in the ceiling around the sunroof and spreads out and down to the windows and in the upper cabinets. Is there anyway to fix this without having to spend more than we owe on it.
I have a 2012 Crew cab Silverado 5.3 V8 with the towing package. When I pull my travel trailer (approx. 5000 lbs), the water temp stays 1/2 guage and the tranny temp is 170-190, however, on steep hills the water temp guage goes 2/3 to 3/4 guage for a short time and the tranny temp reaches 200-210 degrees. Is the elevated water and tranny temps okay or should I try to reduce them back to the normal range. What is the max temp I should keep the tranny at?

Successfully installed an engine block heater ! when I was under there I noticed an opening in the plastic that covers bottom of the motor compartment It was under what looks like the transmission on the driver side of the car . I was working through the access door to the oil filter of course. Is there supposed to be two doors under the car and one just is not been replaced ?
View 4 RepliesI have noticed oil spots under my 06 lately and finally got under it to see where it's coming from. It's collecting and dripping from the bottom motor mount but it's hard to determine exactly where it's coming from. I can't tell if it's coming from higher up or down low and running back and up from the wind. I just cleaned it with degreaser and have it running to hopefully dry it and be able to see where it's coming from.
View 11 RepliesI just changed the oil in the 04 GLS. It looks like the intercooler is leaking at the bottom hose. It does leave marks on the garage floor. Also I may have rear main seal leak too.

Got my car over the weekend and didn't drive until today as I was waiting for the insurance paperwork to clear. Opened my door this morning to find a nice stream of water coming out of a hole (drainage?) at the bottom of the door. It was a good amount of water that came out, and I could hear water in the door when I closed the door.
Opened all the other 3 doors and had a nice puddles of water next to each door. It was raining here Monday and Tuesday. Is there supposed to be that much water just sitting in the car after a rain? I feel like I've never seen that much water come out of a car's cervices a day after rain.

View 14 RepliesI have a Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo 1993, the gas Tank was leaking gas at the bottom of the tank, and I patched the leak with regular materials I found in Advance Auto Parts. But after few weeks, the gas tank leaked again. The question is it easy to remove the Fuel Tank and replace it with a new Fuel Tank? or how should I repair it without removing it, before I patched it. I am savvy enough to work in cars, but I never removed Fuel Tank before.

After looking at one of them, while checking the spare tire, I accidentally discovered water in the truck on the driver's side, all the way on the bottom. After that, when I look at the cars, I check this spot for water/liquid. Last weekend, I looked at three cars, and two out of three have water/liquid in the very same spot. The sales people give different explanations, and one sale person just said that he does not know why water is there. What causes it and how to repair it.
View 6 RepliesH2 weeks ago I bought a new Prius II and after giving my car a new wash this weekend I noticed small water marks on the bottom hatchback window. After trying to wipe them off with a microfiber cloth, they were still there. Then I tried Windex but they didn't go away. The only way I could get the water stains out was to scratch them off with my finger nail.
None of my other windows has this problem.
It seems that after it rains water gets "stuck" inside the drivers side door.
Once i open it, a steady stream of water rushes out from this spot indicated by the red arrow below.
Is this normal? Shouldn't the water just normally flow through and exit the bottom at all times?
07 Camry LE USA built. The front line that goes down behind the radiator then towards the rear under the engine has started leaking at the bottom of the horseshoe bend. The bottom is rusted and leaking. Is there a temporary fix for this? Part is not available from the local parts stores.
