Cadillac - Seville :: Low Oil Indication Occasionally

On occasion, my 2003 Cadillac Seville SLS will indicate that the car is low on oil and I should stop driving. When I checked the oil, it has never been low. Prior to this happening, the gas hand began to dance between 1/4 of a tank and a full tank. I am not sure if these issue are related or if I have two separate issues.

I have a 1998 Cadillac Seville STS which has recently developed an intermittent stalling issue. Here are the details:
Happens occasionally when I'm slowing down or coasting, such as turning into a parking lot or going around a sharp entrance ramp-Has not yet happened during acceleration-No bucking or jerking while accelerating-No apparent warning that it is going to stall-Has happened once each of my last two trips
The first few times it happened my fuel level was pretty low, and one of the times I tried several times to restart it and it would start but die right away. I managed to get it started again, then I filled the tank and tested the fuel pressure at the rail, and I got 45-50 psi with the key turned but without the engine running.
After that time, I have not had any difficulty restarting it when it stalls. I held the valve in basically the same position that it is installed (meaning I didn't turn it upside down) and sprayed in the opening with throttle body cleaner (not carb cleaner). I then used a "pipe cleaner" to clean the inside, and I also worked the plunger up and down after I sprayed it.
I had a few "false alarms" in the past thinking it was fixed, so I wanted to wait until I was sure before posting. I now have to lose the habit of constantly glancing at the tach to see if it's about to stall. It would be interesting to know why cleaning the EGR valve fixed it.

The service engine soon sign came on awhile ago. I immediately took it to a garage and they said they can't find a code. My mechanic friend checked it and found a lean combustion condition. What could be causing this issue and what can I do about it. This yellow service engine soon light is driving my nuts!!!

I have a 2001 seville. The problem that I have is that the abs and traction icons come on the dash sporadically. When this happens the ventilation system shuts down. When the lights go out ,the ventilation system works fine. The dealership tells me that the two systems are not connected. They tell me that I need a new module. I would like to hear other diagnoses of the problem and repair.

I have a 2004 Cadillac it started to miss when your idling, a check engine light when on and it was #5 plug not firing so I changed the plugs in front 4 of them and also bought a coil pack and replaced that, but it still misses. What else can I check before thinking its a sticky Valve or internal engine problems.

I have 2002 Cadillac Seville SLS. From time the icons for the brake and abs do not go off after the car starts up. I'll be driving for anywhere between a few minutes to an hour or so and they well go off and an audio tone goes off. Sometimes they will not come back on for the remainder of my trip, at other times times they will appear again then go off again. There is no indication that there is anything wrong with the brakes. Also, when the icons go off and the heater is on the fan will accelerate. What may be going on?

This morning I saw this indication in the MFD between the tach and speedo. I checked the gas cap - it was on correctly and tight. Advisory appeared again a few moments later, so I removed gas cap and reinstalled correctly. Upon removing, I heard a slight "whoosh" sound of air moving either into or out of the filler neck.

What is the logic behind the tire pressure monitoring system? We've had a cold snap this week and I'm getting a low pressure indication (amber color) on the display. It also displays a 31 to indicate the pressure, but stays amber even when the pressure increases after tire warm up. Yesterday afternoon it stayed amber after reaching 33, which was 1 ppi below the other 3? Does it alert on percentage drop from normal or at a finite number and below?

I have a 2009 Prius with less than 10,000 miles. Lately I have run into car starting up problems. I have smart key, but what happens is that even after pressing the brakes all the way and pressing the ON button, it won't start, it would just go into the state where all the indication lights on the dashboard are on. But so far I have been able to start it after a few tries, like after giving it some time etc.

When I choose the screen on my instrument cluster that is suppose to show speed I do not get a reading. It shows 0 mph. The average speed shows correctly, but nothing else. The correct readings are displayed on the center console unit including speed and average speed so I think the sensors are good. Is this something that can be corrected using VAGcom.

I have recently noticed that my coolant temperature indication became sluggish. Needle does not make it to "normal" temperature indication and if I turn the heater on it will drop somewhere in between "cold" and "normal" temperatures. Does it affect fuel consumption and so on? I guess maybe coolant temperature sensor is about to die.

08 ES 350 with 53k miles. Started getting a low-tire indication last winter and air pressures all around were ok. Drove from Ohio to Florida in Feb and low-tire light went off. This fall, the light came back on, again the pressures were ok so the sensor must be sensitive to temp. What corrective action is suggested ?

Didn't even know it existed until it started blinking, but my key fob has a tiny little red LED that just started blinking today. I am guessing it means the battery is dying.

I notice that I have the steering wheel heater button on my 2006 V8. I pressed it, but the indication light did not come up on the display, and the wheel did not get warm.

2004 Passat 1.8t. recently been having this problem where when I turn at 30-40 mph he gets a chime, followed by a "stop" indication on the dash along with "brake failure" displayed.. also the brake symbol comes into view as well... I haven't connected any scanners to it to see what's going on, but I'm not sure if it will show anything.. The CEL isn't on either..

For three months. I have a problem overheating false indication. I changed the water pump, the thermostat, the cooling radiator, the temperature sensor.
When driving with more than 110 kilometers, and turn on the lights, the temperature rises. The same is done with any electric charge, air conditioning etc.
If I reduce the speed of about 70-80 kilometers then the temperature begins to fall.
Note that I measure the temperature on the temperature sensor base, with a digital thermometer and while the temperature gauge was almost in the red field, the temperature showing the digital thermometer was 88-90 Celsius degrees.

Last August, with about 76,000 miles on it, the oil light on my xc70 came on when I was making a U-turn. I took the car into the dealer and was told it was down almost 4 quarts. The “cause” was the breather box which was replaced for a substantial amount of money. About 5k miles later the same thing happened. Again I was down over 3 quarts but the breather box was fine. There is no leak and absolutely no indication that oil is burning (no smoke, smell, residue in the tailpipe).
The speculation was that that the oil was somehow vaporizing in a line between the pan and the block. I didn’t buy that.Now after three more visits; I have been bringing the car in every 1k for an oil change and consumption check (the dealer has absorbed this cost) they have determined it is losing about ½ quart every 1k miles. They have not identified why. All they say is that I can rebuild the engine (new rings and pistons). This is ridiculous! 85k on the car and it needs a new engine. This was a certified pre-owned Volvo with 11k when I bought it and all service has been done by the dealer.

I'm having difficulties fueling my vehicle. The fuel pump will shut off every few seconds indicating the tank is full, but it is definitely not full at all. With this, I have to carefully insert the pump into the tank only a little way and generally I can hear the gas bubbling up and eventually spilling over onto the ground, and me. This method takes about 10-15 minutes to completely fill the tank.
I have replaced the vapor canister vent valve and was given another part with two ends connecting by two wires (see attached) that I couldn't locate on the car to replace, so I still have it in my tool box. After replacing the one item, it did not fix the problem.

I bought my car and have had nothing but issues. I think I have driven the loaner rx almost as much as I have had my GX 460. Vibration issues, suspension issues, loose bolt issues, etc... Now for the double secret bonus I am on vacation and so is my GX. Went out tonight to pick up dinner after driving 3 1/2 hours and nothing but grinding clicks. Called roadside and they came. Not the battery. This is the second time it has happened. No lights are indicated.

I have 05 Prius, 97,000 miles. Noticed the HV battery charge level indicator moves up and down rather quickly and often. It rarely shows full charge and this condition seems to be worsening. This is with mostly city driving.
I'm concerned that the HV battery won't last much longer. To make matters worse I had recently moved to AZ heat, though my Prius is garaged, the heat can't be good for it.
