I have a 02 Buick Lesabre. The door locks and windows won't roll up or down anymore. I have checked and replaced the 30 amp fuse for power windows and also checked and replaced the window door switch for the drivers side and still nothing works. What else could it be?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 Bonneville. Just recently the doors will lock and unlock on their own. The controls(windows/mirror) and lock on the drivers side works intermittently. The window and locks on the passenger side work correctly. At least I haven't found a time they don't work. Coincidentally, things started acting up after the drivers side widow was left open and a little rain came in. I have removed the mirror/window control panel from the drivers side, unplugged the connector, cleaned and put electrical grease on the contacts.. I did the same thing with another connector I could reach inside the door panel.
View 3 RepliesAfter lurking here on FTE for the past several months, I finally had the opportunity yesterday to pick up a new to me 2002 Excursion Limited w/ 7.3 diesel engine. The kids (5yo twins) absolutely love it and even the wife is growing very attached
I think I bought it for a very fair price and it's in just about pristine condition with 110k on it. The previous owner took very good care of it and had just about a full maintenance history for the vehicle. The ball joints and tie rods were replaced at 90k and it still has the original tranny-it does shift very deliberately and solidly though. My first true mod will be to add the 6.0 cooler and a tranny filter to hopefully put off what seems to be the inevitable with the 4R100 transmissions. I'm not thrilled with the wheels/tires and plan on swapping them out asap along with the headlights/taillights.
If there is one particular issue so far, it's that the power door locks don't work. When the buttons are pushed (inside and out), there's absolutely no reaction - not even clicking to indicate that the actuators are bad/stuck. I've pulled the #19 fuse and it's fine - reinserting it doesn't reset anything. I'm wondering if the vehicle security module may be bd? How can I narrow it down to make sure it is indeed the problem before dropping the coin for it plus reset?
I have a 2002 Trailblazer. Last week I noticed the passenger side front door's window was not working. I then noticed the power lock on the same door was not working and the same with the power mirror on the same door. I have not torn into it yet, any way that would speed up the diagnosis. I have to assume that since everything else is working properly, that there is some wiring harness connection problem in that door.
View 1 RepliesMy 2002 Grand AM turns over like it wants to start but dies right away. Head lights and all work good but right off dome light, radio, and electric car door locks didn't work. After reading and trying the security bypass by putting the key to ON etc., many tries I did finally kill the battery. Jumped it for quite a while and same issue.
The security light has been on for years with no issue but doesn't narrow down if it is the bypass problem since it stays on but the other electric items not working at the same time has me perplexed.
I have a 2002 Buick LeSabre. Back information is this. the car has had a coolant leak for years, very slow though. Last night while working (I drive for a living) the thermostat climbed up to hot and then immediately went back down to the middle range where it normally goes, so I thought I was fine. It then climbed back up and staled out. It started again nearly immediately and I made it back to my work. About 30 minutes later I began to drive home. The temperature gauge started to climb up again, and then immediately went back to normal running temperature. I kept an eye on it.
About 2 minutes later it shut off completely. I had dash lights, head lights, and emergency flashers. Trying to restart it killed my battery and I had it towed home. This morning I put water in it (it was a gallon low even though I had filled it three days prior). I got a jump start but the car wouldn't start. It cranked and cranked but would not start. I did notice a leak of water from near the bottom of the engine. I am curious as to what the problem may be and why it is not starting now.
we just replaced the intake manifold and also put on new spark plug wires and plugs. now the engine is missing but only after it warms up. i double checked all the wires and connections and they looked good. is there something obvious that i should look at since it is still doing it?
View 2 RepliesBuick LeSabre 2002.. Several months ago, several electric items in my car failed... all at once. For the cig lighter especially, I looked through both fuseboxes (front and back) for any fuse that looked like it might be responsible for that circuit. I was checking the abbreviations on the fusebox diagrams and wasn't able to find a busted fuse.
However, with several things going wrong at once, I wonder if it was some other kind of fuse or relay. I don't have the equipment to check relays, thought I found how to do it on YouTube. What might be causing them all to stop working at once.

Having problems setting driver comfort controls after replacing the battery. Does the car have to go thru a relearn process before all will come back to normal?
Used to be able to keep A/C set on auto. Now the A/C and fan motor won't come on unless you turn A/C to Off and then hit the AUTO button.
My 2002 Buick Lesabre has about 160,000 miles on it I keep up with maintenance regular oil changes and what not. Today when I am driving to work and right as I get on the freeway my car starts lurching forward and slowing down repeatedly so I pull over turn the car off look under the hood everything looks normal to me. I wait a bit start the car up and the lights on my panel go from the dimmest they can be to blinding bright and I could not adjust the brightness at all. Any way the car drove fine the rest of the way but the lights were bright as can be the whole way there. What could be causing this? Bad battery?
View 5 RepliesI own 2007 Camry and my door won`t lock with remote and push button to lock the door. ONLY driver door will respond to remote and push button. When I lock it, only driver door will lock. Light lights up when I press remote. Trunk works fine.
View 14 RepliesThe power door locks on my '99 Tahoe do not always work. Most of the time they all operate except for the front passenger door. It attempts to move, maybe halfway, but doesn't lock or unlock all the way. It works fine manually. The keyfob works the same way as the door switch. About 10% of the time they all work fine including the passenger door.
I've been told they might not be getting enough voltage due to loose connections. The connections look good as far as I can tell. What should I look for on my multimeter and where should I test it?
My remote locks only work intermittently when I press the buttons on the key fob. The locks on the drivers door and rear drivers side door also only work occasionally. If it turns out it's the module in the driver's door, is there a way to repair it? Or must it be replaced?
View 1 Replies2004 4x4 super crew cab. Door locks don't work from switches, touch pad on drivers ext. door or with key fob. I checked the fuses and both the 10 amp and 30amp fuses are good. Where do I go from here. some time ago I had the submerged wiring issue and corroded connections in the bottom of the rear door rail. Could it be the same issue in the front door?

About 4-6 times per year (randomly) the truck will either not start, or the electric locks won't work or the turn signal flashes radically or the electric windows won't operate. Currently the locks refuse to work on any door, but the windows work every where except the drivers door. Mechanics opinions seem to revolve around the body control module, but the error codes, don't seem to support this.

Power door locks. The drivers door is the only door that works, using either the remote fob or the rocket switch on the door. None of the other doors, or the rear lift glass work.
I have a hard time believing that ALL of the individual actuators in each door don't work.
Does the actuator in the drivers door act as a primary? Are all of the other actuators slaved through the drivers door? Is there a relay between the drivers door and the other doors that could be bad?
Chrysler 1998 Lebaron. The door locks will run constantly, they go up and down when driving and when parked, the same with the lights...now finding that in the middle of the night the car alarm is going off for no reason...also finding that the dome light will not shut off

The problems that I am having is first, my door locks will unlock just fine on the key fob and on the door switch inside the cab but they will not lock at all. I've checked the fuses and everything and cant find the problem. it did this one other time then one day there was a pop from in the dash and they started working.
The second issue that I am having is my 4x4 doesn't work all the time. i turn the switch on the dash and the 4x4 light comes on and i can hear a click but then i have nothing so I took it to my mechanic and he said it was probably the shift fork but he wouldn't know til he took it apart. so i decided to hold off then the 4x4 worked fine for a couple weeks if it was my shift fork would my 4x4 still work sometimes? could these problems be related?
