View 24 RepliesHow to take the door panels off ? I have to take mine off to replace the mirrors the wires run into the panel. Just thought id ask before I have at it.
View 2 Repliesusing a can of compressed air to clean the dust in the vents and the straw came loose and now its stuck inside the vent and whenever I make a turn I can hear the straw rolling around.
How do I actually remove the passenger side air vent cover? (nearest to the door) I tried to pry on it with a screwdriver but it doesn't seem like it wants to move. I actually asked the local dealer and they said I would have to remove the whole dash to access inside the vent. Do I really need to remove the whole dash or should I try to apply more pressure?
So in my 96' 850 my dash is squeaking on the passenger side. If slight pressure is applied to the glovebox or airbag the squeaking stops.
View 1 RepliesFor the past week the front passenger side floor of my 2000 Volvo S80 has been wet. Sometimes its sopping and other times it's just damp. I assume the water is coming from inside the car as the mat has a heavy rubber bottom, but I can't seem to find the source.
View 7 RepliesJust noticed the passenger side floor has water frozen on carpet. There is no evidence of water on the sides or from the dash area. I reached under the car and I can see 2 holes, one of them is plugged with a rubber grommet/plug and the other I can stick my finger way up into it. My wife has been driving this in the rain a couple days last week.
Is that a possible source for the water getting in? Can I order a replacement plug if it fell out?
I just did read something about a "sealing cover" and I matched against the driver side and it does appear to be missing. Seems to be a round 40mm plug. I measured the driver side and plug is 40mm and the hole is more like 25mm. Is this the right part?
We had the passenger side brake light not working in our 2002 S60. I moved the little silver tab at the socket w/ a screwdriver and it worked, but then hit the plate and both brake lights went out. Checked fuse, bulbs and swapped relay and shunt w/ out any luck. I hear a click at the relay when we use the brakes-am I missing something? Also, did the same w/ taillights and it blew a fuse, replaced and then they worked.
View 1 RepliesMy 2004 V50, all the doors and boot lock except for the rear drivers side passenger door.

I just joined this forum some minutes ago, I own of a 2004 XC90 T6 AWD, delivered to me a couple to days ago, just barely getting to know the car, hear a knocking sound from the front passenger seat when i drive on rough roads, and this morning check engine warning sign remained on while driving out, had to park the car at home.
View 4 RepliesWhat is the trick to removing air from the cooling system? Today I replaced the water pump on my daughter's 1990 240 wagon. I filled up the cooling system and believe there is air in the system. The car gets hot immediately, when I squeeze the hoses they feel soft, particularly the lower hose. During the fill procedure, I was not able to find an air valve on the thermostat housing. I suspect there is air in the system causing it not to circulate.
View 2 RepliesJow to best remove the passenger side kick panel on my 2001 superduty. There is a plug I am looking for to make the clearance lights work. It looks like the kick panel continues under the door threshold. I don't want to remove any more than I have to.
View 10 RepliesMy son bought a 1996 Toyota Corolla as his first car. There is rust developing on the driver's side door panels, mostly around where the decorative strip is. I am wondering what we can do to stem the tide, so to speak. Hopefully, something simple can be done. We can worry about patching the small areas that have already corroded, but he would like to not have it get worse.
View 12 RepliesWe own a 2013 RX 350, purchased less than a year ago. We are experiencing this rattling noise coming from inside the side panels, its frequency changes depending on road and weather conditions like if road is rough or if its windy. We have taken the vehicle to Lexus Service three times so far for the same issue, they have acknowledged the issue. Last service took almost a month but still no remedy.
As of last service, Lexus took the entire roof liner down to fix the issue but it came back after one day post service.
Noise is extremely irritating because it occurs next to driver's left ear and is annoying as anything can be. Same goes for right ear for the front passenger.
We have owned Nissan Maxima, BMW and Lexus before and none of the vehicles had this issue.
How to remove the drivers side kick panel? It has the hood release lever, which is holding me back from figuring out how to get it off. I don't want to keep experimenting because of the chance of breaking something. I'm trying to install some after market speakers and need to get behind it to run the speaker wire to the door.
View 3 RepliesLooking for a video or directions on removing the front seats (driver and passenger) so that I can take them out of the car and give them a very thorough cleaning. Possible with a hose on a sunny day so they dry fast. I couldn't find it under the search option.
View 5 RepliesI am trying to remove the upper portion of my passenger seat for my 2012 Prius C. This is not the part that you sit on. It is the part where your back rests against. The part where the head rest attaches to. I'm not sure what the formal technical name of the part is.
View 8 RepliesI need to know how to remove the driver-side door panel on an 87 DeVille Sedan. My son just bought his first car and none of the windows work, checked the breaker, it is good. Our next plan of action is to remove the panel and see if anything looks 'off'.
View 3 RepliesHow to remove the pad on the right side of the center console ? Have a very irritating squeak that has begun in the area. Appears to be the leather like materiel rubbing on the plastic upper part of the console.
View 5 RepliesJust having a little stereo work being done and noticed a wet floor under the insulation after removing the rear side panel covering the a/c unit. Is that normal? I read some folks have had to seal the fan box...is that most likely the issue?
