Volvo :: 740GL - Weakening Of Injector Pulse (Ground Side)

My friend like to get his 1990 740GL back on the road. It starts and dies. Narrowed it down to injector pulse. Noid light is bright the first couple pulses then gets weaker and weaker while cranking to almost nothing. Tried a new radio suppression relay.
Tested the voltage to the positive side of the injector plug and it is full voltage with no drop from battery voltage. I tested the negative side of the injector plug for resistance to pin 19 on the ECU and it was perfect no resistance. I thought that was a pretty good sign the ECU was bad. Replaced it. Jetronic and same exact number. Same exact symptoms. I checked the grounds on the valve cover to firewall and the ground on the intake from the harness.
What else could it be?The ECU I replaced is in the passengers kick panel. Is there another computer for the injectors?

1990 740 gl with 225000 miles and as a routine maintenance I want to clean my solenoid and maybe flip the contact and clean up the plunger on the bendix (inside the solenoid). No biggy right. I know my way around this car, replaced water pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, injector o rings, etc., sensor, etc over time.
The starter though wow - how do you get access to the top bolt? From top side I took off the bellows to intake manifold ( air breather element)but that top bolt I cannot see how to access with a short socket.
From the bottom I can get at that bottom bolt easily enough and actually got it out no problem but that top one wow. From underneath it seems like there horizontal room not vertical room due to the tranny dipstick.
This is the only part I am having trouble with, everything else on this car is pretty clean and clear. Again top starter bolt access tips on how to get it out without stripping it.

i have just bought a 1988 740gl turbo and i was driving it the other day and when i came to a set of lights just as i stopped the car stalled on me then wouldn't start...
i left it for a hour or so came back and it started and i drove away and only went a few kms home.... what would this be i haven't driven it since!!

I have a 02 venture with the 3.4L. No injector pulse when no start. Security system seems to be working properly. Just changed the crank sensor behind balancer and still does the same thing. No trouble codes present. Just not sure what to check next.

My 1989 740GL has a blower motor that doesn't work; I looked into it and discovered a blown 30A fuse. So I replaced fuse and guess what? "POP"! No luck... It keeps blowing them, so I really haven't looked that far into it, but where I might start?

Was called today to look at a car that wont start its a 92 Chevy lumina euro with the 3.1 v6 automatic 4 door. The car has a new crank sensor recently installed ran well for a while and now has no injector pulse. Checked for spark its good. sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it fired for a second acted like it wanted to run and then died. Checked for fuel at Schroeder valve it has fuel there I don't have a fuel pressure gauge but it sprayed pretty good. I'm not real good with electrical but thought maybe the ICM under the coil packs could be bad I have one off a running engine on my shelf but wanted to see what other people had to say first.

I have a 2005 ford ranger, 4.0 auto, 4x4, 60psi fuel presser, has spark and injector pulse, will try to start if you hold the throttle a little over 3/4 the way down, but will not fire on starting fluid.

I've got a 2001 4.6 F150, starter spins just fine, but it won't start. Checked all the basics, but it has no spark, and no pulses at the injectors. Is the PCM dead? Wore out the Haynes manual on this one....

I have a mkvi gti with all stock suspension except rear sway bar. And I'm right about to order driver gear springs. But have a question about suspension. My rear driver side of the car sits about half inch lower then then rear passenger side on a flat ground. Would this be caused by springs? Or struts? Or what. Planning on ordering the driver gear springs but what the real problem is. I want the driver gear so I'm a bit lowered but not crazy low since the roads in my home town are awful and my street I have to do figure 8's all the way down it to not hit a pot hole.

I've got a 1271 code and I can't seem to make it go away. Code definition is "High side to Low side open Cyl 1". The truck runs fine, no rough idle, no excessive smoke of any color, just the damn CEL light stays on. I check the UVCH and all the injectors ohm in at 2.7 ohms. I've already done the updated clips under the covers. I run all the buzz tests and KOEO/ KOER tests and all appears OK. My AE won't do a Cyl contribution test. All the injector data shows all 0.00. I know its not that perfect. "high to low open", does that mean I've lost a ground? If so where?

I have a 02 passat 1.8t FWD, I jacked up the driver side front wheel (with all other three wheels on the ground), and tried to rotate the wheel front side to side, I notice that the wheel actually rotates quite a bit. I wonder what might be causing this problem. I assume that when the car is parked and all other three wheels are on the ground, I am not supposed to be able to rotate the wheel at all.

Getting DTC Code P1271 - #1 Injector High -> Low Side Open.
The code tends to show up more during cold weather start up. Using AE-AutoEngenuity KOEO - Buzz Test returns the P1271 error
Troubleshooting performed:
- 42-Pin Connector @ Driver Side Valve Cover
- 9-pin VCH on Passenger side
- IDM Module under driver side wheel well
- All of these are testing within the 2.8 - 3.2 Ohm range
- (Used the GB Reman. Tech Bulletin 103) - TB 103: 1994-03 Ford 7.3L IDM Replacement & Diagnostics)
I was going to replace the solenoid, however, with the above readings I'm not convinced it's the solenoid. Before I tear into the valve covers I was looking for some add'l thoughts from the forum. Could it be the IDM ?....
Any add'l checks to perform using AE, or the IDM, other than replacing IDM.

So in my 96' 850 my dash is squeaking on the passenger side. If slight pressure is applied to the glovebox or airbag the squeaking stops.

For the past week the front passenger side floor of my 2000 Volvo S80 has been wet. Sometimes its sopping and other times it's just damp. I assume the water is coming from inside the car as the mat has a heavy rubber bottom, but I can't seem to find the source.

The electric side mirror adjustment, L&R, (drivers side door armrest near window adjustment buttons) on my 2003 XC90 is not working. All other electrics are ok. Cannot seem to see a fuse for this circuit in the fuse box under the bonnet.

I feel a new thumping on my left foot as it rests on the floor of on the driver's side. It seems to happen mostly when I'm turning the steering wheel, particularly right, and is most prevalent when the car is cold and going in reverse, though it will thump when turning the to the right and when it's warmer--just to a lesser extent. I think I have a bad socket on my taillight/brakelight on my driver side. Passenger side works fine. Bulbs are not the issue. All other lights functioning. Found a bad 7.5amp fuse on driver side fuse panel. Replaced and still, no taillight.
Any other fuse or cause for the driver side tail light only to stop functioning?
